Palm Valley Fish Camp Ratings and Reviews
We got there at 6:15 which was our reservation time and was seated promptly! Our waiter Danny was great and very attentive! We had the New England clam chowder which was delicious then we ordered the seafood platter for two! When it was brought out we couldn’t believe all the food we got! It was all very fresh and delicious! Will definitely go back again! Also make sure you make a reservation as it is small and fills up fast!
This place never disappoints. Started with the fried green tomatoes and bay scallops and both were delicious. Had the herb crusted grouper special and it was fantastic. My husband always gets the mahi with ham Tasso gravy and collards and loves that dish. We always take visiting family to Palm Vally as it is sure to please and make for a memorable evening. Excellent and knowledgeable servers.
My wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a shrimp appetizer, which was good, but not great. I would not order it again for the price. We ordered one serving of the grouper, which was excellent, and there was enough to stuff us both. We did not need it, but we also ordered the bread pudding, which I thought was excellent, and again, one order was plenty for the two of us. The chairs just have plain wooden seats, but were OK for the evening. The acoustics are not great, though, so as there was a full house, and it was quite noisy. We are going back in a month, so we will have a second opportunity to test the menu.
Wow! Dinner was fantastic. Every special was so enticing and each of us were so happy with our choices. I had the scallops and they were amazing. The oysters from Massachusetts were great, the cod and the salmon were fantastic. Our experience was so great. Thank you PVFC!
I was greatly impressed with the service #1. The clam chowder was very good. I wish there were less deep fried for the basket meal options at lunch. I ordered the deviled crab not realizing that was fried. My basket already included fries and hush puppies which I was already aware, deep fried. My fault, I should have asked.
My mom didn't like her food, she's eldery and can be difficult but our waiter was happy to remove from the bill. Everyone who came to out table was just so pleasant and genuine. Not the I'm nice to you because I'm paid to be, but really felt a sense of genuiness and I have a good judge of character.
I would certainly go back maybe for dinner this time and will highly recommend Palm Valley Fish Camp.
We love going to Palm Valley Fish Camp because the food is so amazing and the service is good but the noise level is really quite unbelievable. As we get older, it's harder and harder to hear. I know you have received this complaint before but I really wish you would take it seriously! I came here with one other person and had a hard time. I would not come here with more than two people.
Our first choice with friends, family or just the two of us. Consistently excellent, never disappoints. Best salmon anywhere. Gorgonzola crusted rib eye with arugula is outstanding. Everything served shows attention to detail and freshness. Do not miss the scallop appetizer or white chocolate cranberry bread pudding. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and creative chef. Make reservation to avoid wait.
We love the fish camps, visit all three on a regular basis. However we were disappointed this time, but the chef's lack of flexibility when it came to side salads. Never in the past had we had this issue. We were there after 8, so practically no new tables after us....but when we asked our waitstaff to check on a salad choice, the chef came back with a resounding no. We were shocked.
Our meal was good, but that lack of flexibility doesnt suit the restaurant.
Amazing dinner. Everything we had was absolutely perfect. Mahi Fish bites, Pimento cheese spread, Fried Green tomatoes were a huge hit with the 1 year old as well as the rest of the family. Cobia special & Shrimp/grits were divine. Can’t wait to come back to Jacksonville and hit this place up again. Make sure to go on an empty stomach.
We enjoyed our very early evening dinner at Palm Valley Fish Camp. We went at 4:15 as the 4:30 and every reservation time after that was taken. The appetizers are the best part of the meal and it is not uncommon for us to get several of them and call that our meal. It gets loud and crowded by 5 P.M. , so adjust your schedule accordingly. The oysters were large and delicious and so was the civiche. The clam strips and conch were good and we enjoyed the local beer.
Excellent meal. I had the special fish entree which was fantastic (smoked beets infused rice - holy crap)... local fish options, New England fish options (hard to find in Florida if you can believe it). Friendly, knowledgable service. Something on the menu for everyone.
