Palm Valley Fish Camp Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I make it a point to eat here every time we are in the Ponte Vedra area. The food is always outstanding. We had the red shrimp appetizer and the broiled oyster appetizer. Both were the best of each we ever had. The blackened mahi over grits was fabulous. Our server Danny recommended the cranberry bread pudding and he was right. It was delicious. You owe it to yourself to try Palm Valley Fish Camp.
This was a phenomenal dining experience! It was full, and talk was loud.. would not recommend again for a business meal, unless outdoor seating is quieter... I drove 2 hours to meet colleagues there for a business meal.... the food was fantastic! I had the low boil... I will be returning during the day to see the outdoor seating area and view... It was raining so couldn't see that.
This restaurant is extremely noisy. It was hard hearing the waitress discuss the daily choices and my friends and I could hardly hear each other. I had the fried oyster basket and many of the oysters were too tough to eat. Big disappointment all around for me. Won’t go back
We love PV Fish Camp! No matter what you order, the meal is delicious and never disappoints. If you can spare the calories, their home made bread pudding is fabulous. The night we went e had the cranberry white chocolate!!! Jarrod was our server and he was great.
Our meal was delicious, as always! We had the shrimp and grits, which were done perfectly. Went for brunch; we were a little disappointed that there was not a larger selection available. Our major complaint was regarding our seating. In our reservation request, we asked for a booth, if available. When we arrived, a booth was available. We asked if we could be seated there. We were told that we couldn't have it, because it was reserved/used for a party of six. It would have been extremely hard for a party of six to wedge into that space. Anyway, we were seated at a regular table and we let the matter drop. No more than five minutes later, a party of two was seated at that booth. We frequent PVFC quite often. It would be nice if a greater effort were put forth to accommodate customer requests, when possible and practical.
We happen to be there on the evening win the SEC championship football game was being played. We asked a couple of times for them to put the game on in the dining room and they refused. I understand that's policy but it was the only game on and lots of people wanted to watch it. It was on in the bar but we were in the dining room.
We made a reservation specifically at 6 to see the water boat Christmas parade and mentioned that when making the reservation. We were told when we got there, it wouldn't pass there till at least 830. Professional courtesy would've been to tell us that in advance and offer to move reservation later since they were aware of why reservation was made. We all got fish sandwiches which were very good, everything else was quite pricey. Very crowded seating, we were sandwiched in by tables on two sides. Very noisy. A little background music would help. Parking was valet only and really tight/packed. Was nervous our car might get scratched but valet guys did good. Disappointed we missed the parade because we couldn't wait 2.5-3 hours :( I think I'll try next door at Lulu's in the future for parades. Looks more spacious
Food is always outstanding but a little pricey. Service is fair. The biggest problem is the noise/acoustics...terrible! You have to speak so loudly just for a simple conversation and feel like the whole restaurant is listening! Their saving grace are outside tables which are much more comfortable for casual dining, weather permitting,.just need more of them.
Beautiful Sunday lunch - outdoors, watching the boats and the weather could not have been better. Brought our son who was visiting from New York City . He rates the food here as good as NYC . Raw oysters were great as well as the Mahi sandwiches. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable . Prices very reasonable . Our go-to place when we have guests !
We had an unbelievable time last night. Food was terrific. Staff were friendly and helpful. We are from Boston and dined there a few weeks ago. While back in Jax again this week, we invited our family from Detroit and they were beyond impressed.
Will definitely go back when we visit again.
