Palm Court Restaurant - Arlington Heights
Palm Court has received rave reviews since the restaurant opened its doors over 40 years ago for its elegant ambiance, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere.
A highlight of the restaurant is the piano lounge, a comfortable place to unwind, relax, meet up with friends as you listen to the live piano music that swathes the dinner crowd Monday through Saturday.
Chef Michael has been creating alluring dishes for Palm Court since its inception in 1979, and our chef-driven menu includes timeless favorites like Tournedos of Filet Mignon, crisp Long Island Duckling, Veal Oscar and Provimi Calf’s liver. No dinner is complete with Palm Court’s own dessert, Brandy
The Bar offers a wide array of wines, cocktails, specialty Martinis and imported and domestic beers.
Fabulous restaurant, great food, wonderful service even on a busy Sunday evening. New owner is doing a great job!
Wife ordered steak med-rare and recd medium sent it back and rec'd what appeared to be the same steak
back. Mgr finally reduced the cost of that meal.
Prime rib was good. Oysters Rock sporting new sauce, not hollandaise. Saffron rice instead of pilaf, not a good change. Menu definitely improved. Always a winner!
From the much appreciated covered portico (it was raining when we arrived), to the posh interior and comfortable booth with white table linens, we were impressed. Our server was delightful and yet professional and the cocktails were made perfectly and not stingy. Our foursome had crab stuffed mushrooms appetizers that were delicious. We had excellent beef and seafood meals that were so nicely prepared and served....we each commented on how much we were enjoying our individual choices. No dessert, only great coffee, this time but will certainly order in the future. The piano musician was great and very entertaining. We were not rushed through our meal and were “allowed to dine” and enjoy our
guests. Palm Court is the example how a wonderful dining restaurant should be! Bravo!!!!!
We love Palm Court. The ambiance is a throw-back to an earlier time - the 50s? Great supper club menu.
Their service is usually very good. We had someone who was training and understand that new servers may miss things that someone with more experience would catch.
We dined on the Thursday night and the place was packed! Glad we had a reservation. The busy restaurant did not impact the kitchen's ability to get our meals out in a timely fashion and cooked to our specifications. Everything was delicious!
We had a very nice dinner here after a day at the racetrack. Our server was very attentive and helpful with whatever we asked. Food was very tasty as well as desert. Overall a very good experience
My go to place with friends, especially when we want a good, but quiet dinner.
Love the food and service here. A fav of mine for over a decade.
Good food, fair prices, and outstanding service by Martha!
We have been going to this restaurant for 35 years. The new owners have really upped the quality of this restaurant. It was always a really good upscale restaurant. The new owners kept the previous menu and have added really outstanding specials. On the special list today was Steak Diane, Beef Wellington, Sea Bass and Swordfish. Really, when was the last time you have seen those items on a menu? All the beef is Prime and wet aged for 28 days. My wife had the Swordfish Greek style with fresh herbs and lemon. It was outstanding. I had the Beef Wellington. The beef was unbelievably tender. Better than anything that I have ever had at Mortons or Ruth's Chris. It was the best restaurant meal that I have had for for a long time. This is one of the few privately owned restaurants around. It has outstanding food at reasonable prices. restaurant, now it is an excellent upscale restaurant.
Beef Wellington was very good. Had the scallop appetizer (they were out of clams), perfectly cooked and sauce was delicious. All in all an excellent dining experience.
Chris was very friendly, checked on us just often enough. Brought a slice of cake to celebrate our anniversary.
We had an excellent Waitress who really looked after us and even offered our party of four ladies separate checks, which was much appreciated. We had an excellent lunch and I am sure we will be back again with our husbands in the near future.
Wonderful service, food preparation and ambiance what more can you ask.
Our visits to Palm Court are always enjoyable. When we had out of town guests from San Francisco, we knew where to have lunch with them.
We had a group of 11 including children. Everything was wonderful. The service the attention to both adults and children was perfect. Couldn't have had a better evening.
Palm Court has been a wonderful standard for decades. Great food, beautiful atmosphere and a wonderful piano bar. If your looking for a delicious venue for a special occasion or you just want a delicious meal, this is the place. Try the Dover Sole, it’s outstanding!
We went on Wednesday and they had half price for bottles of wine. Sounded good so we ordered. We had a great meal and the food was great. Got the bill and the wine was over priced and half of that made it reasonable, but still on the high side. All in all it was very nice.
Three of us for lunch. Service a little unusual. Not bad just off a bit. Waitress started out snippy overheard guest at my table make a comment about her, she did change her attitude.
One of the nicest places around to dine out for a reasonable price. Would recommend to one who wants something special for an evening out and for a special occasion.
We came to celebrate our parents anniversary. Food was good as usual. Service initially was good however slowed down after we placed our order as well as after we had our dinner.
We had a wonderful lunch. The food was excellent. Very relaxing! Our server was terrific! Celebrated a birthday lunch with my sister and even brought home an entrée to eat during the week. Been coming for here for years and it’s always great.
My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to find a supper club. A nice quiet dining experience.
We arrived on-time for our 6:45 res and were seated immediately. We ordered a cocktail and an appetizer which we got very quickly. And then the waitress disappeared. Like she went off-shift or quit. We saw no wait person from 7:00 to 8:10, when we decided to leave. I threw $30 on the table and we walked out. Why didn't I flag-down someone? Because you're not supposed to need to in a classy joint.
We were seated in a small room and we were the only patrons in it, so I guess we were easy to forget.
I haven't been to Palm Court for a while and I was a bit surprised that they clearly no longer have a dress requirement; I was wearing a suit and tie and my wife was dressed appropriately for a "tablecloth" restaurant, but plenty of folks were dressed in shorts and flip-flops. Sign of the times, I guess.
Very disappointing as I had been raving to her on the elegance of the setting and the terrific food. The Moscow Mule she had was watered down and the crab cake was OK. My iced tea was average. I was really looking forward to the dover sole.
I would go back, but only with a time machine.
Outstanding service by Gina. Food was great. ..as always
One of the most consistently good restaurants in the Chicago area. Outstanding menu. The preparation of each item is perfect. Any fish entree is excellent. I had the walleye on special. Excellent. Rack of lamb, is a speciality and it’s prepared perfectly. This is a gem of the northwest suburbs.
Delicious lunch and good service.
Been coming here for 30 years - as good as ever! Val!
ue is incomparable
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We come here often. The food is always excellent but Sunday my dad ordered the Liver and onions and it was not as good as he thought it woul be. It wasn’t authentic liver. The wait staff is excellent and we know they’ve been there for a long time. We will be back.
Good food, excellent service and delightful old-time ambiance. A relaxing elegant place to enjoy a pleasant meal.
Good food, good drinks, cozy atmosphere, good service, good location, and classic one-of-a-kind ambience. Highly recommended!
Server came immediately but we asked for a few minutes before we decided. Never returned. We asked another server who did get our waitress. 50 minutes later had not received our salads. After too long a time and waitresse ‘s apology, prime rib dinner was not done as requested, steak dinner over done from requested, sauces for prime rib, chicken, ribs, baked potatoes all had to be requested. Large party and insufficient wait staff. Was comped one dessert for a very poor and , since we had all been here before , surprisingly unsatisfactory dining experience.
Always outstanding food, service and ambiance.
Great selection of foods all prepared perfectly. We’ve always had excellent dining experiences here.
I made the reservation on line for 7 PM Friday. It was our 60th wedding anniversary. By the time I parked the car, the ladies were in the both at exactly 7 PM!!! There were seven for dinner and I think everyone ordered a different meal. Then a small thing happened during a toast to us, a glass of wine was spilled on the table. In about a minute, the staff headed by Dave our waiter, cleaned the mess and gave us a clean table cloth. Dave handled all the orders including changing some orders to make everyone happy! Food was wonderful all around and we will return in the near future.
My husband adores the Oysters!!! Always a special treat for him!
Filet medallions flavor excellent but meat was a bit tough. Filet mignon was excellent. Service excellent. Drinks reasonably priced and tasted great.
This restaurant was truly a treat! My husband and I went on a Saturday evening and felt a bit of nostalgia as we sat at a booth in the lounge. We were entertained by the piano player and taken care of famously by Kristen our server. I would have to say the food was magnificent. Prepared to our liking and for the house salad they had my favorite Thousand Island dressing house made. I don't know if we were the only two that felt as if we had drifted back in time, but we had a great meal and an enchanted evening. We will be returning with friends!
The waitress arrived at our table with a frown and a bad attitude. She was actually rude to us and never once smiled. I almost spoke to the manager, but figured she had something going on in her life.
Food excellent tables MUCH too close together -can’t move about in the chairs due to tight quarters and have to move the tables in order for another person to fit.
Couldn’t ask for anything else! Nothing else to say! Lovely evening.
