Palm Court Restaurant - Arlington Heights
Palm Court has received rave reviews since the restaurant opened its doors over 40 years ago for its elegant ambiance, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere.
A highlight of the restaurant is the piano lounge, a comfortable place to unwind, relax, meet up with friends as you listen to the live piano music that swathes the dinner crowd Monday through Saturday.
Chef Michael has been creating alluring dishes for Palm Court since its inception in 1979, and our chef-driven menu includes timeless favorites like Tournedos of Filet Mignon, crisp Long Island Duckling, Veal Oscar and Provimi Calf’s liver. No dinner is complete with Palm Court’s own dessert, Brandy
The Bar offers a wide array of wines, cocktails, specialty Martinis and imported and domestic beers.

Our server was very very friendly. Food was excellent as always. Enjoyed it very much.
This was a very disappointing and disturbing experience. We planned to go to their special Greek event which was supposed to start at 7:45 on 2-27-21. We got there at 7:30 for a 7:45 reservation. We were told the event wouldn’t begin until 8:15 or later. The restaurant was packed...people were hugging each other, and the bartenders were not wearing their masks. The parking lot was also full. We left and went to another safer Greek restaurant in Northbrook. We will come back to Palm Court, but only in off times. We did not feel safe on Saturday night.
Our server, Martha, was incredible. The prime rib was to die for. The band was great!
Website states music Monday - Saturday. We were there Thrs and nope. Also website states table side Dover Sole - came out Luke warm from kitchen on plate. Not great.
I have been a regular for years - maybe just an off night but not sure if I will be back.
Excellent service and food. Can’t wait to go back.
Service and food were excellent. Did not feel rushed
We had a party of 10 after a daytime funeral and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The restaurant was lovely, warm, inviting, clean and it was a perfect choice for us. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. Thank you.
Very good meal, same as always.
It was good, our waitress was amazing! The side dishes came out a little cold which led us to believe that they sat out for a little while. The restaurant design was a little outdated but the live music was really great!
The place is nice, but I came to try their ribeye steak. When I ordered it, she mentioned that they were all out. So I ordered the NY Strip and she apologized for not having the ribeye, wrote down my ny strip and went on her way. 10 minutes later she tells me they are out of NY Strips... I was very upset and had to settle with something I was not interested in.
Delicious food and great service!
The food was really good... And the service was amazing. I would go back and try something different... if I'm in the neighborhood.
My family and I really enjoyed ourselves in this atmosphere. The food was amazingly delicious and we will be dining here again.
Very disappointed. No social distancing, staff wearing masks below their chin, and over crowded. The Elvis Presley look alike singer (NOT) was walking around the tables singing without a mask. Will not go back until Covid is over.
The food and the Staff were very good. My only concern was that the mandated Social Distancing regulations were not followed. Unless the rules changed, the people should be 6 feet apart and capacity should be 50%. We were seated in a large room toward the back that was at 100%. The people in their seats behind us were only 2 feet away, with their backs toward us. The people to our right were 4 feet away from us. To our left it was fine as it was a walkway for the customers and staff. As other restaurants have done, they could have arranged the tables to provide social distancing but chose not to. If not for the social distancing, I probably would've given them 5 Stars.
Was wonderful being out! Food was excellent and waiter Julian was the best, attentive and seemed to know our next request. Prime rib was delicious.
Have a fantastic meal as we always do!! Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful restaurant! The food was delicious and the staff were all fantastic!
We ate in an igloo and had such a fun experience. The food and service were great. I hope they’ll consider keeping it igloos beyond COVID. It was nice to do something different.
The outdoor dining "igloos" are an excellent touch.
Love this place. It's an old world, supper club-ish step back in time with a great selection of comforting food with good flavors. During a recent visit, our lunch was mediterranean halibut with feta, tomatoes and olives (although a little too brothy) and shrimp scampi with mushrooms and wild rice. Shrimp could have been cooked a little longer to be slightly more tender and I would have opted for more garlic butter and less cream for a true scampi flavor. Rolls and soup are always fresh and offered promptly. Dessert of chocolate mouse is a favorite but was missing today so key lime pie and cheesecake were the only choices. Palm Court is always a good choice with all ages.
We fully enjoyed our dining experience. The food was delicious, the staff was professional and attentive and the live music makes for a fun evening. We've been going to Palm
Court for years and it never loses it's charm.
This is my favorite restaurant, I have been coming here for many decades. Food is always wonderful as well as the service. I took my grandsons to dinner in December and we ate in the igloo and it was very special for all of us.
Fantastic food and cocktails, awesome service! As good as any big name steak house!
The server was very nice and attentive. The wait staff were clearing the table to keep it uncluttered. Food was good and the entertainment was enjoyable
Great outdoor, plastic dome-covered dining spaces.
Sea scallops for one and lamb chops for the other. Delicious!
This is our “go to” place with friends so when indoor dining opened again (with 25% seating capacity) this was our first choice.
To our unpleasant surprise,We walked in to a completely full restaurant!!
Unlike the usual piano player and light piano bar type music, there was a very intrusive Elvis type performer who walked around the lounge stopping at tables. He had no mask on and was walking around and just stopping at tables and lording over them. Not only was it awkward, it was unsafe.
The service was top notch as usual.
Our food was delicious, but they are getting a bit pricey. One person at our table ordered a $40 bone in rib eye and it was nowhere near the size they said it was.
If you have a craving for great lamb chops, steak or seafood in an old school environment then this is the place. When I say "old school" I don't mean it in a bad way - just the opposite. This is a place where the staff is attentive and taught how to really serve the customer. The food is very good and fresh and a great value. We live downtown in the city and when we get an inkling for prime rib - we trek out to Arlington Heights. Honestly, we get tired of 18 year old hostesses and servers that are just passing through - Palm Court in Arlington Heights is a welcomed return to normalcy and true dining experience!!!!
A little disappointing this time around. Unfortunately they were out of our top 3 meal choices. Maybe they didn’t anticipate the crowd since COVID has impacted indoor dining and this was one of their first nights back serving indoors. We will try again and hope for a better experience.
I love this restaurant. Our Server was wonderful! The food was wonderful. You get a lot for the money.
Palm Courtbis a great place to dine and enjoy great people! Glad I was referred to this location!
My favorite restaurant for a tremendous amount of years, and the food now is just as good through all these years. I hope our local supper club survives this pandemic
Service was wonderful, friendly and responsive. We would highly recommend and will return
If you've yet to visit Palm Court, you are missing something special.
Be sure to confirm my appraisal soon!
My duck could have been cooked a little longer. It was hard to dissect.
This restaurant has gone above and beyond during the pandemic to keep their customers safe while providing a memorable experience.
The beef Wellington we ordered was not cooked correctly even after sending it back but the entire staff was apologetic and acomidating. The other dish we ordered was good and we plan on going back.
Four of us dined New Years Eve every thing was very good except my crab legs. There was two small pieces of crab and the rest came out of the legs as mush. Was so looking forward to the dinner. And at $70.00 I was expecting a little better. They did make a price adjustment, but still ruined my dinner. One other thing I would like to mention why the fake french fries? They are awful , OreIda frozen are better. Don't understand the problem of using real potatoes, the baked potatoes are real. Just saying.
The igloo experience was wonderful.
I ordered a bone in rib-eye. We were seated per our reservations. We sat for 25 minutes. A waitress finally asked if we were waited on. No was the answer. She told us that she would take care of us. She was excellent. My ribbie was to be medium and as i cut into it id was raw. Not big fan of raw.. Been there before and some times the Waite staff isn't very good. I guy that was directing things could been the manager wore his mask on his chin. All other employees had there's on. My wife and I just got over the covid and it was not pleasant. I don't think we will go back, for what it cost no came out to offer something. I think we will discontinue going there. Too bad we live 5 minutes from there.
