convenient restaurant for dinner before events at Fox Theater. In lobby of beautiful Davenport Hotel. Added bonus of free parking in the Davenport garage. Food is more than decent.
It was pretty good always love the Davenport. My food wasn’t hot and our server was slow. I got up to get our coffee before he came back to us. For the price I do want hot food.
We were there for the Titanic 5-course Dinner on the Titanic sinking anniversary; however, when we arrived, we were informed they had run out. I was not happy, but was hungry, so we stayed for dinner. The wait staff were very pleasant and everyone, including us, made the best of the situation. What we did end up ordering was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The ambiance is elegant but casual. This could have been a disappointing occasion given that the meal we'd reserved for a special occasion wasn't available, but the quality of the food and professional friendliness of the staff left us with a wonderful impression of the place.
Spokane Symphony evening with friends
They failed to measure up to any standard of expectation for a business with their reputation. Every single thing from reservation to service to food was a great disappointment. I fall to understand how they have a good reputation. I had a great opinion of them until now; they are worse than mediocre. Running on their reputation only I guess.
Gathering with out of town family
Fabulous titanic meal with wine pairing. Food was delicious and atmosphere superb
Relaxing breakfast with great service, no rush to vacate table.
After making reservation well in advance for birthday dinner. We were placed inside next to bar in a booth. The prime rib was returned to kitchen 3 times. Twice for it being so rare, but it was full of grissle and tough. No mention was made of my husbands birthday. I would not recommend it for dinner. But the hotel was wonderful
We took our adult daughter for Easter Sunday brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The brunch choices were great and the food well prepared and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. The crane Benedict was excellent and full of crab. The crab omelet was delicious and also full of crab. The coffee cake was excellent and the fresh fruit varied and excellent. Overall we had a lovely meal and would definite return in the future. We had a lovely table by a front window.
We were celebrating a birthday and super enjoyed the whole experience!
Delicious food and great service! Definitely will be coming here more often. Our server Mary was fantastic.
BEST DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE FOR STYLE AND CLASS. AMAZING LUNCH FOOD, SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
Always enjoy our meal and the atmosphere! Look forward to our return!
We took advantage of the Palm Court Grill's "last night on the Titanic" five-course meal, timed to coincide with the excellent Titanic exhibit at the Inland Northwest Museum of Arts & Cultures. The meal was exactly as advertised as promoted by the restaurant and each of the dishes was excellent. We thought the $50 per person price was quite reasonable, given the quality of the meal. The service was great as well!
Everything was wonderful but we missed seeing John Reed as we were all from Clark Fork , ID. (now we all live in the Spokane area) We want to be able to see him there before he retires. Thank you again for the great lunch. Ruth Maynard
our experience was great. However, when we got there, they did not have our reservation. Luckily I had the email of confirmation on my phone.
we felt like we annoyed our server. He was not happy we did not order drinks and our coffee was luke warm. The food was great. We have eaten there many times and this is the first time we have not have wonderful service.
This was our 49th anniversary and our entire package was exceptional and the staff made our stay memorable.
Mary was an awesome waitress. A wonderful evening at the Davenport with the family.
Our waiter was excellent. Top notch. Also, thanks for participating in the Inlander Restaurant Week. I loved it.
We went especially for their 5 course recreation of the last first class dinner on the Titanic.
All of the courses were well prepared and wonderful. Our server was very attentive and did a great job.
It was a very special occasion for us and will certainly return.
The staff were exceptional and food was fantastic. We treat ourselves to a meal at the Davenport Hotel/Palm Court several times a year. Always and fun experience.
We went for the Titanic Service. The food was great and the wine pairings went well. This was our first visit but we will definitely go back to try the regular menu.
We hosted a birthday dinner for my niece. All 8 guests (plus a baby in a high chair) had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the server was beyond excellent, attentive and kind. Great experience!
We had a reservation. We did not need a reservation and should have been told that. Casual atmosphere we were told to seat ourselves and could choose anywhere.
We chose a seat and were told by another person that we could not sit there.
Our waiter - God Bless him - forgot our silverware, Au jus for French Dip Sandwich and something else which I forget.
15% tip because he couldn't quite do it.
Staff should have a host or hostess - you are a premier dining facility and in a premier hotel - to casual in my opinion.
Recommend you - yes, for those friends that are a little looser.
My husband and I celebrated a special occasion at The Palm Court Grill. We had a nice relaxed evening enjoying the Titanic 5 Course Meal. The food was amazing in both flavor and presentation. The only disappointment was in the reservations. We had made reservations and requested to be seated near the fireplace. When we arrived, it was open seating. We told the greeter we had reservations and where we had requested to be seated. She looked over at the area and apologized that the Seats were taken and said we could sit anywhere. It was obvious they had not tried to honor the request. Other than that, we had great service, and would not hesitate to eat there again.
Valentine'/Birthday was the occasion!
My husband and I were excited to order the "headliner" Titanic 5 course meal with wine pairing. The Davenport offered a special Valentine's menu in addition to their extensive regular menu and The Titanic meal. The kitchen and wait staff were not prepared to take this on.
We started at 5:30 and the first two courses arrived and were cleared in a timely manner, but there was a twenty minute lag before the poached salmon arrived--quite cold. We sent that back and before a new version arrived, the fourth course arrived. The filet mignon. was excellent and well-prepared but was on the cool side of serving temperature. The poached salmon finally arrived--only slightly warmer than the first. We enjoyed it with some extra lemon to brighten up the slightly congealed sauce. By this time, our server was overwhelmed and would not make eye contact or check on our table. Desserts' arrival was anti- climatic with plenty of criticism for the kitchen.
Although my husband and I enjoyed ourselves and the occasion, this 5 course $200 splurge meal and its accompanying presentation was a disappointment!
We love The Davenport but it's usual standards of excellence were NOT met.
Suggestion: a specially trained cadre of wait staff to attend to the Titanic Five Course Meal only.
Delicious food, excellent service. The Titanic five course meal was terrific and the wine pairings were perfect.
The reservation was not accepted. There was some sort of a glitch in their system. We were asked if we'd like to eat in the Peacock room, which we accepted. Our table was in a high traffic pattern, we waited for an hour for food, the food was cold, and the price was very high. It was Valentine's Day, and I was pretty disappointed. I LOVE the Davenport Hotel, and we've eaten many times in front of the fire in the main room. The ambiance is incredible, and usually the food is delicious. This was not the norm.
Awful service experience.
We had a reservation and arrived on time. We were excited about a date-night with dinner and the symphony. We ordered a shared appetizer, and immediately the waiter told us (and other tables) that the kitchen was backed up. They were not half full in the dining area. Appetizer came 35 minutes later. We asked for the salad we ordered 25 minutes after that. We had ordered dinner at 6:45. At 7:40, no dinner in sight, we had to leave to get to the concert in time. We thought a 2-hour window of time would be enough for dinner at this restaurant. I've never left a restaurant without receiving the meal I ordered. When we asked the manager why we couldn't get our meal in a timely way, he looked perplexed at the question, in the same moment as another guest who asked that his meal be delivered hot instead of ice cold. Clearly there is something wrong with the management here...what a shame for such a lovely environment.
Our waiter never came and asked if we wanted another drink my husband prime rib was under cooked never had this issue here we love the restaurant and enjoy our time at the Davenport. Was sad to pay that much for a meal that wasn’t right.
Our service was good, very friendly and no long waits, we ordered the five course special, the food was good, not necessarily outstanding but very good. The ambiance is wonderful, comfortable and elegant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend,.
I made a reservation for 10 about a month in advance and got an email confirming it the day before. They did not have my reservation but accommodated us. The bartender waited on us as well as other people and service was somewhat slow. Prices are a little high but food was good.
Overall not a bad place to eat. Food was expected not anything to rave about. We wondered why our server seemed so impatient and snooty. If we return, I wouldn't want him again.
We went for day after Christmas dinner. The ambiance and Christmas decorations were beautiful. The only negatives for us were that the service was slow and the after dinner coffee was served cold.
We go to the Davenport Hotel for Christmas dinner with the family (party of 8.) This year the food choices that some of the members of our group selected, was only ok. The server seemed to be a little out of his element (maybe new); while he got our order correct, it seemed like the wait times for receiving our drinks (beer, water, pop) was longer than it should have been. Despite the lackluster review, we will definitely make our reservation for next year. The Davenport is a beautiful historic hotel that our family enjoys thoroughly.
Table not ready had to wait. Not happy with table location(by kitchen entrance) and our server’s overall attitude. Server was not very attentive.
Reservation was made with open table but our table was not ready. Table was not available in the lobby area as requested but given to another large group. We were placed in the back of the restaurant.
