Great food awesome service...... I will defiantly be back!!!
Had a good experience with them in the past. Don't know if this is post covid or what but the waiter had a real negative attitude and the food was sub par. There is never a good excuse for the attitude.
Great food. Wonderful atmosphere.
The food was not very good. Took an hour from ordering to get to our table. Waiter was ok - not great. The chicken tenders were undercooked, chicken breast over cooked. Some meals hot, others cold. Crab fettuccine had no crab in it. Overall very disappointing for graduation weekend
We had expected to have the famous Davenport Mothers Day Brunch. When we arrived we were told that they were not doing the traditional buffet due to COVID. OK, understood. But when we were seated we got the same food choice we had 2 nights prior. Which was all that great then. No "brunch" items at all on the menu for Mothers Day.. Service and ambiance were great, but the food was a real disappointment.
Graduation lunch at Palm Court Grill and was seated promptly. Waitress was very good. Received appetizer plate promptly but then waited 1 hour 45 minutes for the entrees. We had 2 house salads, Cesar salad ,fish n chips, prime rib sandwich. Salads were sparse, fish was cold, Cesar salad chicken was burnt and tough, prime rib was cold. After waiting that long for food we were hoping it was good but it was not. Waitress was nice and we left her with a great tip. Manager comped meal and apologized for service. Disappointed since we were in town from AZ celebrating our Gonzaga graduate and wanted a truly special lunch.
I only wish we could have eaten in the beautiful open room. It was not clear to me that we would be sitting in the back. It did not feel as formal or special for Mother’s Day. Our waiter was wonderful. Thank you for going to Starbucks and getting us lattes! Not sure why the restaurant did not have in-house capabilities for coffee drinks. The food was good too, especially the crab breakfast dishes.
Davenport never disappoints. Food and Atmosphere are excellent. My favorite place to stay and eat in Spokane.
The food selection is wonderful.
The wait staff is excellent.
The historic ambiance is worth the time to do the walking tour.
Overall it was a very good experience. Unfortunately, my Alfredo with the crab was a little bland, and I thought for the price it might include some sort of side like a salad, but that was extra. My husband enjoyed his prime rib French dip and fries. The drinks are very strong, but pretty good. Due to COVID they were out of the creme brûlée, but they had other options for dessert that sounded pretty good. Our waitress was very nice, and the overall ambience was really nice, and we enjoyed looking around the hotel when we finished our meal.
We enjoyed our meal and experience v much.
Great job as always!!!! Crab Louis was amazing, as well as Tyson’s Lavenders!!!!!
I am sure that COVID-19 has been the only contributing factor, but the menu selection is extremely small and the pricing has gone through the roof. The service personnel are always on the ball with a beautiful setting, but due to all the restrictions, I'm sure the entire hotel is suffering. Once things are back to NORMAL, I am sure the menu will be back to a much better selection and, I pray, the prices will go back to normal. Until that happens, I cannot recommend Palm Court Grill for dinner. HANG IN THERE, DAVENPORT! WE LOVE YOU!
Everything was fabulous...thought the saladwas a bit overpriced.
Pretty good and chill place, they've moved you to the lobby
Understaffed and underwhelming. Brunch is back, but regrettably, their servers are not. The food met expectations and their Bloody Mary was a nice one! When we saw him, our server was enthusiastic and friendly, especially when his old buddy from days past stopped by. At this point we were just basically abandoned for an unacceptable amount of time as we abided their chatfest at the table next door. So, when you brunch here, get ready to raise your voices and lower your standards so as to not leave feeling disappointed.
I would have rated the service better, but it was slow. The waiter was extremely friendly and cordial. However, the restaurant was short staffed, and this caused us to wait 30 minutes from the time we sat until we could order and get our food. The food was very good, and the prices are pretty reasonable. It's located in a beautiful hotel.
It was wonderful and very yummy
Mary was awesome and very attentive. We had a great Easter
On 4/4/2021 Easter Sunday, we arrived at 11 for our reservation and it took several minutes for our waiter to approach our table with water. We received our drinks and several minutes after he took our order. I am not sure if he forgot to enter our order or if the kitchen did not support it at the appropriate time. He proceeded to check on us and by the time he refilled our coffees for the THIRD time, 3 refills of coffee and water… he apologized for the delay in receiving our food stating that the kitchen was behind, and then we did not see him again until I approached the manager wondering where our food was. When our food did arrive after the 12:00 hour it was lukewarm and we were all so hungry we didn't get to enjoy it, we just scarfed it down. The manager apologized, stated that our meal was compensated for and that she would keep an eye on us. However, at some point was delayed by the time we were finished eating and the waiter approached us to find out how we wanted to split the bill. So that tells me that she did not communicate to him that our meal was being compensated. And I had to tell him to talk to his manager. He finally told us to have a good day, apologized for the service, and restated that our meal was compensated for. The manager approached us after we had walked through the building to see the artifacts to say goodbye and to follow up with her this week. I understand that holidays are different situations. But in sitting and observing the area around me, seeing other tables who arrived later than us, get their food and seeing empty tables clean and reset, the restaurant was not that busy at any point in time, there was adequate staff in the front of the house and no excuse can compensate for our service or my 3-year-old daughter in her lovely Easter dress waiting for an hour to get pancakes.
This visit had all the issues that could come from going to a holiday meal, as opposed to on an average day. The food took twice as long as it should have to arrive, and the rush of the kitchen was clear. As an example, an order of French toast was grilled bread because the batter didn’t have a chance to soak in at all. I might try going back on a normal day, but certainly not on a special occasion.
The food was amazing. The service was impeccable and the night was a success. Highly recommend.
Birthday dinner with my significant other. The halibut was to die for. Loved the ambiance. Would definitely dine again.
Halibut is terrific. I had the “fish and chips” kind on menu. Plenty to eat with 2 pieces fish. We sat by the fireplace and had a very pleasant dinner.
Took my daughter and two grandchildren out for a special dinner.
This was a birthday celebration, and it could not have been any better. Our waitress was the sweetest and most doting gal. She was patient while we waited for one last guest that ended up not being able to come after all. The food was served with grace and professionalism. It was truly a fun and memorable evening. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! :)
I had an overcooked French Dip. The others had a crab salad and...I can’t remember. No one raved. On the plus side, the drinks were generous sized.
The food was great. Once our server finally came over, he did an amazing job. They definitely need a little more help with more servers and an actual hostess.
Would have been 4 stars all around, however due to staffing issues, we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to our table to get us drinks or anything. After we initiated contact is was great
First time for us here at the Davenport. We will definitely be back!
The prime rib was wonderful and don’t skip the cheese cake!!
Excellent service. Relaxed atmosphere.Friendly server.
Absolutely fabulous seafood. We had the Wild Alaska Halibut and famous Berry Salad with Salmon. So happy to see this special place reopen!!
We each ordered the crab Louie. Its what we used to get years ago when we ate at Louie D's when it was exceptional. Menu read "Crisp butter lettuce topped with fresh Dungeness crab leg meat, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes and our famous housemade Louis dressing. 29.95"What we got was a plate with the lettuce in full pieces on one side, 4 pieces of leg meat, tomato quarters, and part of a sliced hardboiled egg, also on the side, and a small bowl of dressing. Had to use our knives to cut up the lettuce and everything but the egg, and then build our own salad. A woman at the next table had also ordered the louie, and we heard complain to HER companion about it, too. She ended up leaving most of her lettuce after she cut up a small portion of it. Her companion left most of his halibut. Server also recommended the snickers (?) chocolate martini. Very nice but I had to use a spoon to finish it because of all the crunchy snickers at the bottom of the glass. I then had just a chocolate martini and it was fine. Service was great, ambience is beautiful, but we won't eat there again. So much for celebrating our 45th anniversary. We chose to go to Frank's Diner for breakfast!
Limited menu. Reservations not needed as it was sear yourself.
Even with covid I was disappointed with the initial service. We had a party of 5, I made a reservation on Opentable for Sunday morning. Wait staff says open table reservations don’t work so we had to wait for something to open up to be seated. There were two 4 top tables 3-4 feet apart, one occupied with two people but having 5 chairs around it. After waiting 25 minutes or so they cleaned off the other 4 top, but told us we couldn’t sit there because there wasn’t enough space between the tables. Obviously they had been using these for parties of five because there were 5 chairs at the table. Eventually we were seated. Reservations with open table not honored.
I made reservations for a birthday breakfast. Reservations for us and others were ignored. There was a sign that said seat yourself with no host in sight and we sat ourselves in the open court
(as did others) and after waiting for around 20 minutes, noticed that no one from the restaurant was tending to the people there. Reread the finer print on the sign and saw that only the main restaurant was allowing seating, so we waited in line...again for quite awhile. They seemed to be short staffed. Not sure why they would connect to a reservation site if they don't honor reservations, nor why they would have a seat yourself sign if they were not allowing people to seat themselves. Very confusing and poorly executed plans and service with little communication and inadequate signage for the situation.
The ambiance and setting are great but the food is mediocre and overpriced for what it is. Service friendly but slow.
My husband and I had a very lovely evening. It was wonderful and the food was amazing.
Great COVID get-away! So open in the lobby, it’s like being outside ❤️❤️
Considering the whole covid mess, the Staff at Davenport is doing as well as can be hoped for. The Palm Court Grill breakfast was perfect.
