Palm Court Grill at The Davenport Hotel
Super nice manager. Great food! Love it
Food is over the top. Wait staff is kind and attentive.
The Palm Court Grill at the Historic Davenport Hotel is so beautiful and glamorous. I love the ambiance of stepping back 100 years in time to glimpse a moment of luxurious history.
Awesome service and bartender fantastic. The best place in Spokane.
Overpriced, undercooked, pasta... almost zero attention from server.
Very nice decor and atmosphere for a New Year's eve dinner. Appreciated the helpfulness when making the dinner reservation. Food quality was very good, but a little disappointed that when we came back at 9:00PM for dessert and coffee that it was already closed for the evening. Must be difficult to find help these days.
I wanted a special after Christmas breakfast for my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchidren, aged 5-1/2 and 3, who came from Southern California for Christmas. We had a table in the lobby next to the fireplace. Everything was ready when we arrived. The waiter was at our table immediately and asked if we would like drinks before we decided on our food choices. Then, the children had an opportunity to explore the 2nd floor. It was magical. We ordered our food and the waiter gratiously divided up the childrens' choices. We were not rushed. All of the adults ordered a breakfast dish with fresh crab - huge chunks and so fresh - just delicious. All of the food choices were well prepared and presented and abundant. It was a special Holiday family time that all of us will remember and try to make an event when family is in town. And, we were able to park our cars at no charge in the covered parking garage - nice bonus. I highly recommend the Davenport for a celebration at anytime of the year, but it is especially grand during the Christmas Holiday season!
We reserved our table ahead of time and were super excited to have Christmas dinner in the lobby. We ended up way in the back side of the restaurant in a Dennys type environment. Our server did not have time to refill our drinks she was so busy. Food was not good and cold. We were not happy.
The Palm Court Grill during the holiday season is the best place to be in Spokane--we love the energy, the ambience, the parade of people in an absolutely perfect holiday setting. Yes, I would and have always recommended the Davenport and the Palm Court Grill to friends, family, and strangers on the street.
Wonderful Christmas dinner by the fireplace at the Palm Court.
reservation was for 4 pm but were not seted until 30 min later - possible overbooking
A very festive atmosphere, stunning décor, outstanding (but spendy) cocktails, delicious food, friendly service...
The Palm Court Grill was a great lunch option for Christmas Lunch, we both had the Christmas Turkey special and tried both of the desserts on offer, all of the food was tasty, the service was attentive and the drinks also very well mixed, great Ambience with the fireplace and Christmas lights on.
We came for Christmas and our server was amazing. Thank you!
Justin was a wonderful server! Appreciated him!
Awful table location. Food was all very salty. New waiter was very uninformed. Super disappointed.
Nice atmosphere, food was good and arrived timely. Understaffed for a holiday so there was significant wait times for refills on beverages etc.
Everything was really good the only thing was when we got there they sat us at a dirty table. Then took the setting from the table next to us and put it on our table. We told the lady who sat us that the table was a little dirty she came over with a towel and tried to wipe it. And something wouldn't come off so she licked her finger and rubbed it off. Kinda gross.
Had 7pm reservation and they were already out of prime rib (the main reason we chose the Palm Court). Restaurant was not busy and yet wait staff was non attentive and hard to track down. After waiting for an hour received $45 med-well rib eye that was supposed to be med rare. Waitress said they could redo it but I didn’t have another hour to wait. No accommodations were offered. On the plus side prawn cocktail was very good.
Beautifully decorated, seated by the fireplace. Fabulous food, superb service, couldn’t ask for anything more in a dining experience.
Great food and atmosphere. Have dined here many times.
I bring all of my out of town guests to lunch or dinner at the Davenport. Thank you for making this experience so wonderful for all of us lucky folks in Spokane! Laurel
I frequently come to the Palm Court Grill to treat out-of-town guests or enjoy special occasions with family and friends, and I return because it's always a lovely experience. This particular day was an exception - neither the food nor the service was up to par. I'm hoping it was a fluke.
Fantastic food and service. Made for a perfect Christmas breakfast with my granddaughter
This was our first time coming to the Palm Court Grill and definitely will not be our last. Perfect place to celebrate your anniversary. We were seated by the fireplace and atmosphere was quiet and the person playing the piano was a pleasant added touch to the mood. We will definitely come back.
Great ambiance & food. Service was very good as well.
Our server stated she had only been there 2 days but you wouldn’t be able to tell, she was excellent. Wonderful service and wonderful food!
We attended for a business lunch. The service was amazing, and the hotel and restaurant were decorated beautifully for the holidays.
Incredible steak. Great service. Love eating here.
This was a VERY special occasion for our family. I had made reservations in July for my husband, myself, our two adult children and their significant others. We arrived for our reservation a few minutes early but had to wait a bit because the table before us was not done. The hostesses were very kind and we understood they were extremely busy. Once we were seated, a man came to our table. Honestly, we thought he was the bus boy but he turned out to be our waiter. He was okay I suppose. He didn't utter many words. I had to ask for water, our drinks, for him to open our wine and for him to clear our plates. He did clear our appetizer plates but didn't bring new ones so there was no place to put the bread. When my husband received his salad he asked the waiter if he could have some extra dressing for his salad to which he was told "there is already dressing on it!" He was an awful waiter. The food was outstanding, the service was not. We spent over $500.00 on our meal and had really marginal service. Definitely not the top notch service we would expect from a server at the Davenport. He never spoke to us as a group, never asked where we were from, never asked why we were there. It definitely put a damper on our evening. Not sure if we will go back next year when we attend the Christmas Tree of Elegance again. Hopefully if we do, we don't get him again.
It was fabulous with the Trees to view as well. Parking was great as it was free as long as we were eating at the Palm Court. Food was outstanding, service was as well. We were well treated and will comeback another time or two!
I would not call the noise level energetic. I would define it as obnoxious. Communicating at the same table was challenging. This is not a place to experience an intimate dining experience that can be had other similarly priced venues.
Cocktails were very slow to be served.
The butter was very cold/hard when served with the bread.
The Crab Louie was great.
The Salted Prime Rib was ok.
We went elsewhere for desert and post meal cocktails.
Awful. Loud. Poor seating. Server did not even work there not familiar with menus either drink or food. Servers carrying trays over my head, ppl grazing table. Cold food.
Cougar gold fondue for me, prime rib sandwich for my son... Both fantastic. Our server was attentive and sweet. Ambiance is second to none, especially at the holidays
Tha food & atmosphere was Amazing!! Dusty our server made us feel like we were on the red carpet of Customer Service 🎄😊
Love the Halibut And we are so glad that this old Historic Hotel have been saved ! My Great Grandma & Grandma & Mother always loved the Hotel . Every time I come I think of them Now I share it with my Daughter & Granddaughters . Thanks for the memories !!
Service and food were outstanding. The restaurant and hotel were decorated for the holidays. Very beautiful. A must see and dining experience.
Our experience was great, but our reservation was for a table of 4. When we first got there they tried to seat us at two separate two person tables near the fireplace. Luckily they have a 4 person table available.
Our first Christmas living here in Spokane we HAD to go to the Davenport to see the Christmas Elegance Tree raffle and have dessert. Service was slow but we didn't mind. Sat and enjoyed the beautiful decorations and watched the throngs of people come in and take selfies with the beautiful tree in the center of the lobby. Dessert and drinks were wonderful!!
We had a wonderful time. Food was great, I recommend the Crab Louie! Service was great, it was very busy and we were seated right on time for our reservation. We will be back next year for our friends holiday get together.
