Palm Court Grill at The Davenport Hotel
My group of 12 whom came from all around the northwest to meet for dinner had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is lovely, the servers were wonderful, and the food was fantastic! We had a really good time and I will certainly plan future Spokane dinners at Palm Court Grill again!
We had a party of six and were in the main lobby. Even so, the ambiance is so beautiful. Our waitress was wonderful and catered to the needs of our guests...we enjoyed every aspect of our special night!
Only issue was that food, other than the main dish such as Halibut and Steak, was cold. Not enough to send back but definitely cold. We told the waitress and assume she passed it on to the kitchen.
Otherwise the dinner was great and of course the Hotel is just wonderful. Great job with the renovation.
We went for dinner before a show. At 5:00 we had our pick of seating. Service was prompt and attentive and all our meals were delicious with the exception of my friends rice ( she didn't like it) breakfast the next morning was also delicious although not as prompt. Overall enjoyed very much.
Our group had a wonderful dining experience here. It was affordable, the service was great, and the food was amazing. The ambiance was wonderful. Great dining choice!
wish I would have known about the SUNDAY Brunch
that ball room was so beautiful.
I didn't see that offered oon your web site.
I was celebrating a birthday
This place was very good. Attentive staff, delicious food, great atmosphere. We will go back.
Wonderful way to celebrate a birthday. Perfect setting & atmosphere. Food was delicious and service was attentive.
Beautiful, renovated hotel restaurant with tables surrounding a wood burning fireplace in the main lobby. Delicious food and drinks. Loved the French dip, made with thin slices of prime rib. Saveroom for a sundae though! Great for couples or groups.
Went for a birthday lunch and would go again for any special occasion. Had the salmon fettuccini and prime rib sub. Both were good portions and delicious! Got to seat ourselves and was fairly busy. Took a little bit to get service, but once the waitress came we got fast friendly service. Overall a great experience!
Don’t order beef at this restaurant. Even the most expensive cuts are tough - almost inedible. They must source their meats from the cheapest vendor.
The sides generally were good. The wine list was limited but adequate.
The servers are not well trained, or knowledgeable about the food or drink. This doesn’t speak well of the management’s commitment to providing a fine dining experience.
They advertise this to be a high-class restaurant, but I’ve had better meals (meat) at the local diner.
That being said, the Palm Court is grossly overpriced for the value delivered.
My guest and I enjoyed a lovely pre-symphony dinner at the Palm Court. Chose the restaurant area close to the bar so we could watch the Zags but the area in the lobby much nicer. I got a martini and my guest ordered a bottle of wine. Both value priced at half price since it was happy hours. My guest started with a Caesar salad and thought it was excellent. She then had a crab cake and thought it was well done and not overly bready. I had the salmon pasta. Salmon perfectly done although a rather small portion. Pasta and sauce were outstanding and pasta even tasted house made. Good server helped us though the meal.
A beautiful room with excellent meals served courteously and efficiently.
What an amazing location for a business lunch! My colleagues enjoyed all the historical features of the hotel.
I truly miss the Early Bird Special that you use to offer. I loved the small dishes and several courses. My favorite thing about eating at the Davenport, is eating in the lobby. The ambience is fantastic!
My dinner was very good, and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that you don't serve Coke on your menu. Although, I know that you serve Coke on your room service menu, so if I ask they will serve me Coke. I just wished that I didn't have to ask. Coke is better.
Classic ambiance and service. They know drinks. No weak chinks in any dishes served. Competent servers—didn’t hover but were there when you needed them. Showed care when one asked for suggestions.
The food is more on the expensive side but everything was fantastic! Great for an anniversary dinner.
As always, Davenport provides consistently high quality and wonderful service. It has also become my favorite location in Spokane especially to take my guests and wow them with the architecture of this gem in eastern Washington. Food, decor, and service are the cherry on top.
We had a wonderful evening. We went to the Davenport for a birthday dinner and they had a table reserved by the fire. Mary, our server, is always outstanding and had a special little gift on the table. She is the best! I had the tenderloin, perfectly cooked, and my husband had the chicken, which was delicious. Always a great place for a special occasion!
We loved our meal and were treated great for my birthday. My only complaint would be is that our drinks were awful. We ordered two black opal cocktails, when we started drinking them they tasted like bottom shelf and old. Everything else was amazing
As we were seated, the host recommended the pork ribeye for the main. Our server appeared and took our drink order just a tad before getting our menu selections. This was at 6 pm on Saturday night. As was recommended I ordered the pork, and my companion ordered short ribs. After our paired wines were brought, the server stated that they were running out of the pork (at 6 PM?) and he would put in our selections at once. He later returned and said he thought all was well, but wanted to know my alternate choice. I selected the 3rd offered main, cioppino but asked for an update as to our progress. The next time we saw him was half an hour later when he delivered an almost inedible cioppino to my place setting. He scurried away before we could address the wine issue, and did not return until our desserts had been presented. Which meant that he missed my companion being given the wrong dessert. Now, about the cioppino: the best I can say for it is that it was not hot. Barely warm. Also flavorless, barely nutritious, presented with empty mussel shells, flavorless fish bits, a few recently defrosted calamari rounds and drowned in an unseasoned sauce that had recently been poured from a jar. The final insult was the lack of a dish for discarded shells -- a neat way of preventing one from assessing the dish's contents. Mind you, this was not even the dish that I had ordered!!! And it wasn't something that should even have been on the table of two people who had spent 30 years in South Philley. I would seriously like an explanation as to why one of the 3 recommended dishes for restaurant week would be unavailable at 6 PM on a Saturday night as the restaurant was just beginning to fill -- and why it would be recommended by a seating host when it was already unavailable......
We were excited to visit the Palm Grill for restaurant week, but were disappointed when
1. were told there was no more pork tenderloin
then after ordering and having out salads
2. there were only 2 short ribs left, but 3 of us had ordered it.
there was no choice left on restaurant week except the cioppino or order off menu.
Short ribs were good, but our person ordering off menu was really disappointed.
Seems like the kitchen should have been more on top of quantity and ordered more pork tenderloin in!
First time at Palm Court and visited during Restaurant Week. We were seated by the fountain in the center of the court/lobby. The surroundings were lovely, however, there were constant cold breezes from the entrances. The chairs were very uncomfortable for me, but my husband didn't have a problem. I was especially uncomfortable by the end of our dining since our dinner took 2.5 hours. Our waitress did her best to make our experience pleasant and we really appreciated her efforts. But, in the end, the food was good, but not good enough to overcome the slow dinner service and uncomfortable seating. I was VERY disappointed in my Poached Pear Salad and sent it back. The alternative was a wonderful seafood chowder, but my entree' was cioppino, so that wasn't an ideal combo. First time for me to try cioppino, and it was good, although it was a bit cold by the time it got to the table. Dessert was very nice.
What a magnificent place and always a wonderful experience. Everyone goes the distance to do a great job and exceed our expectations.
probably. beautiful place. i was disappointed that my seafood/ fish was anything but fresh. the rest of the meal was good.
Loved it, was a dinner i'll remember for the rest of my life. Overall VERY impressed. I will be returning, thank you for the delightful evening and delicious food(we loved the meals).
went to the restaurant during happy hour with my boyfriend and my friends at the restaurant week. the food is excellent. the pork ribeye is a little bit salty but the texture is very tender. it is so good. also the dessert gave us a surprise. the passion fruit cylinder cake and the panna cotta are wonderful. it is the best part in the whole menu. the bakery did very creative job!
One thing I wanna say is the server did not bring the wine menu until we ask. also she forgot to give us the happy hour discount on our drinks, but she fixed it when we double check our bills
Late evening dinner. Great location in a great property.
Outstanding service and hospitality received from Madison and Diamond!!
We had a wonderful time!!!
We had a lovely dinner with four friends on our way to Paradise MT for a couple of days in the hot springs and cold winter weather.
They have done such a wonderful job of keeping the old world charm of the hotel and the food and service goes along with it.
Pretty disappointed. Wouldn't recommend for lunch.
Our server, Derek, was fantastic. Attentive but not intrusive. Didn’t hover but saw to our every need. Wonderful place to spend my daughters birthday!!
Decided to try the restaurant again when my wife and I stayed at the Davenport for Valentines Day weekend. Dinner this time. The appetizer arrived within 10 minutes. Then 40 minutes later our entrees. When I mentioned it to our waitress she sent the manager over who kept making reference to the ticket time rather defensively. The food was adequate but very disappointed that a fine establishment would be so disappointing...
Overall a poor dining experience, not sure if it was later in the evening and servers and chefs were over Valentines, but it was very poor quality food and service. I literally paid $150 for an appetizer, and two entrees. Absolutely none of the food my date or I received was worth a quarter of the price being charged. Poor plate-ing, steak was undercooked yet somehow seared crispy/burnt on outside, the sauce and quality of lobster was chewy, our pasta dish was lackluster very little flavor watered down sauce (no scallops when clearly stated on the dishes ingredients). I only saw or spoke with my waiter 2 times (drink order/food order, and then when giving us bill). I honestly gave the worst tip I have ever gave at a meal...and in all honesty it was still too much. I really was hoping for a nice date and dining experience. The Palm Court Grill did provide us with plenty of conversation topics; though not what they would hope (literally discussing the quality of meal and service). Very disappointed, where as prior to the meal I was very excited. Thought they're going all out and creating dishes that should have been amazing...but upon sampling the cuisine they fell flat on their face. It was more like an Applebees than a fine dining experience, honestly I have had a way better steak and sides at Appblebees for $18, where as they were charging $65 a plate. I just hope not everyone shared such a poor experience or there was a lot of disappointed people on V-Day. They lost any future business from me, and I will not be recommending this establishment to anyone.
We were seated in the back corner by the window had to keep my coat on thru dinner and was still cold the entrees were good and the dessert. The calamari was rubbery could not chew it enough to eat it .
Dinner would have been great but the Prime Rib was cold. Two of us sent our meat back because it was cold and it came back luke warm. Other than that it was an great family experience
One meal out of 8 was cold. Sent back and everyone else was almost done when it was brought to the table. Server was asked to pass along to the kitchen that it took vey long time to get the cold meal replaced. She said because she was part of a team and they did not pass along complaints. The vegetables were like frozen veg. The potatoes were fair with the prime rib. Pasta was good. I would have expected to at least had the cold meal price taken off the bill for being so long to get it back.
Everything was fine and would have given it a higher rating except for the fact that the restaurant didn’t have my CONFIRMED reservation from open table. I don’t know if I can trust anymore CONFIRMED reservations from open table.
Had great night with my daughter thank you for everything
