Due to Covid it had been a while since I visited Palisade. I am happy to say that it is still the outstanding restaurant I remember - excellent food, excellent service, excellent view ...... It was a birthday lunch for my friend and I wish you would still feature the rose leaves on the table as you used to do. However, the complimentary desert for the birthday girl was unchanged in every respect. Our visit lived up to my expectations.

We had a great experience at Palisade. Our server was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and generous, and the view was lovely! One minor feedback on food - the salad with pears barely had any pears on it. One major feedback, the restaurant was extremely warm. The AC just can't keep up with the size of the place on a warm day and needs an update. But overall it was a lovely dinner and perfect for family visiting from the midwest with more conventional tastes in food paired with a great view.

My first time back to Palisade in years, and somewhat of a disappointment. I'm a native Seattleite so I was coming for the seafood; the halibut was a little overcooked and paired with bland peas and leeks. The prime rib was generous and cooked perfectly. The bus staff seemed overwhelmed, needing to be reminded of requests. There was a constant parade of guests and staff by our table of 6. The glare off the windows was distracting as much as we enjoyed the view. For those prices, I expected a more creative and deft hand with the food and a more thoughtful ambiance.

Birthday brunch for my 81 year old mom. Horrendously slow service l, indifferent service and food that was uninspired and tasted like it had been sitting around. One of the worst restaurant experiences I can remember. Will avoid any Landry's from now on. Didn't see any GM or manager around at all either.

slow service, waited 1.5 hour for food to arrive , which I understand due to short staff everywhere. HOWEVER, the brunch menu is very limited, but I look at their menu online so I was expecting it. After finished our food, I saw next table someone was eating pancakes, I asked the server, he said: pancakes and french toast are off menu but you can request it..... honestly, my kids would much rather eat that but server never mentioned it, it really annoyed our group, knowing others can order things off menu, but we did not know about.... FOOD: NOT GOOD, unfortunately, i am not sure if it is a new cook or what, because I live in Queen Anne and I go there very often and ALWAYS love their food but this was my first time going for brunch. Brunch food was terrible... I am so disappointed, because I took my family from Texas and highly recommended this place and thought it is always good standard of good and service, turned out to be a bad morning, I felt bad and still had to pay $200 which I much rather eat in other places....... I would recommened Palisade for dinner but not brunch.

My wife and I have been coming to Palisade for 28 years to celebrate our anniversary and we have never been as disappointed as we were last Saturday (8/6/22). We had reservations for 7:30 but we came a bit early so we could grab a drink in the bar. We were seated at 7:30. The waiter, Nash, was very nice and somewhat attentive. he took our appetizer order right away - Crab dip and oysters. It took almost 30 mins to get those. In the mean time, no bread or water was offered. After we finally got our apps, Nash came over to take our dinner order...around 8:00-8:15. We did not get our dinner until 9:15. My wife ordered the King Crab legs and I ordered the Surf n Turf (Lobster tail and 16oz ribeye). The king crab legs were the smallest I have ever seen as was my lobster tail. The worst was the steak. I asked for medium and it came well done and dry as a bone. We have noticed a big downturn in the overall experience at Palisade since they were purchased by another restaurant group in 2019. This is the first time we have seriously considered never coming back. If things do not change, we won't be.

I have eaten at Palisade many times over the past 20 years. Sadly, the service and food have been on a gradual decline for a number of years. I first blamed covid, but the food and service post covid demonstrate there is systemic issues. The meal was slow in coming. Wait person offered 2 bread orders to keep us interested. The halibut reminded me of hotel banquet food. Dry, flavorless. Sorry, does not match the good ole days. I say these things only to point out that improvements are absolutely possible with small attention to detail. Let's hope that happens and someone else will benefit. I can't see myself returning any time soon.

We’ve been to Palisade many times over the years but our first time back post-Covid. Pleasantly surprised. Still nice but starting to look a little tired as it hasn’t changed in 20 years. No fish in the koi pond and it has been that way for a while. Food was really good. Service was also very good. We enjoyed ourselves. We were visiting with our son and his fiancé so we were having an animated conversation, otherwise, the food might have seemed a little slow on delivery. Minor issue for sure. All in all, we had a delightful evening dining and catching up with our son and his fiancé.

Went to celebrate our last weekend living in Seattle at this iconic restaurant with our family and friends. The service was negligent and slow. 90 minutes to get our entrees, forgotten drink orders, and only 1 water refill in the 3 hours that we dined there. The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambience was enchanting. However, the staff was a bit snooty, the other patrons a bit snotty, and our waiter more of a failed stand up comedian than server. Also the prices were a bit much, a dozen oysters was $60. We won't be returning, but will look back on this restaurant with nostalgia of how wonderful it use to be when I was younger.

We loved our lunch at Palisades and will plan on going back again. The seafood was all wonderful and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the Salmon Seafood Louie, and was delicious. I did feel could have been a larger amount of the lettuce, vegetables, and dressing. Also felt a roll could have been served, especially for a near $30.00 price. A side ceaser salad ordered by another person, lacked enough dressing. Otherwise, this restaurant has a beautiful view, excellent parking, easy access for elderly. We will go back.

I was back to Palisade after over ten years since the last visit. The reason we went there is its iconic and delicious pineapple butter pancakes at the brunch buffet I recalled from years ago. Even though they don't do the brunch buffet and pineapple butter pancakes, the General Manager, Shawn, went above and beyond and had the kitchen made pineapple pancakes for us, which was just lovely! When I asked for a mixed fruit plate, the chef did a beautiful plated mixed fruit with ripe orange, blueberries, and apples. They exceeded my expectations for customer service!! I do recommend they bring back the pineapple butter pancakes for brunch.

This USED to be a good place, not sure what happened. Food was left sitting for too long before being served so the sauces had congealed, steak was poor and prime rib was coated in too much seasoning and was also tough. Service was lacking, waiter seemed harried and disorganized, did not offer us any water - took the wine glasses away and then served us our wine in a carafe and had to go find glasses. We actually came for the view and the manager made all the window shades stay down because it was hot outside - here's an idea: get a proper air conditioner that can do the job! Sad that this was a birthday celebration and was just totally disappointing.

Wife and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary at Palisade. Hadn’t been there in years and decided to try it again. We were seated in a booth table with limited views, next to water/bussing station and uncomfortably warm. We asked to be moved to a better table as there were at least 6 vacant tables at or close to the window.. They said all of those were spoken for and wouldn’t move us. We had been there for 25 minutes and watched many tables open up. I had booked that reservation several weeks in advance and yet somehow they wouldn’t move us to a better spot. We walked out and went to Aqua where they seated us in an amazing spot and had a fantastic dinner. Ironic that Palisade’s website says they “rededicated ourselves to the best service in Seattle. These pieces add up to the best all occasion experience in town.” They completely missed the mark on our anniversary and I will never go back to Palisade. Moving a customer to a better table when they have vacant tables is a pretty easy thing to do to improve a customer’s experience, but they wouldn’t. Don’t waste your time or money with Palisade.

It was very Warm inside. AC was not doing its job. The pace of the meal delivery was off as well- the kitchen was delivering things too fast, while we were still half way through earlier courses. My steak was well done and I ordered it medium. Something was definitely off last night. Not the usual Stellar Palisades experience.

During hot weather, their AC is not adequate for the space, so it is NOT cool and as the restaurant fills up it is extremely hot. Had the Pear blue cheese salad prior to dinner and though tasty the pears and almonds were so small they were hard to find. For the price there should be nice big pieces of pear and slivers of almonds. Lovely dressing and lots of Blue cheese that was good. Prime Rib was excellent and the sea food pasta dish lovely. Filet not cooked quite to medium rare. The two desserts we had were amazing. So overall dinner good. Remember that now that wait staff is paid a living wage there is a $12 additional charge. All restaurants are doing that instead of increasing prices.

Wow! It was my wife's birthday and I was so disappointed with the food. It was simply terrible. Ordered the coconut prawns and they were way over cooked and we sent them back. Then we ordered pear salads and we thought we were getting half slices of pears like most normal restaurants, and they cut up the pears into pieces the size of a pea and you had to dig through the salad to find the pieces. Also, the candied walnuts were stale and tasted like they came out of cracker jacks box. I was shocked how bad this salad was. Finally, I ordered the king salmon. It was way overcooked and tasted like sawdust. I sent it back and they brought me another one...unbelievable...it was not much better. I will never go back there again -the food was so terrible. The ambience is great, but not worth subjecting yourself to eating their food.

The food was good, however, not as good as i remember in past years. the biggest problem with Palisade last night was that the indoor air temperature was quite warm...almost like there is no air conditioning in the dining area. i understand that the last week has been warm for Seattle, but not that warm. We requested to be moved to the outside so that it would be more comfortable, which it was. However, the outside area is set up very casually, with no tablecloths etc. Palisade needs to tighten things up if they expect to be considered one of the upper echelon restaurants in Seattle.

I hope this was just an off night at Palisade. The setting is spectacular but the execution rocky and portions surprisingly small. We ordered oysters which did not arrive before our entrees were served. When I pointed this out to the person delivering the food (not our waiter), he said, “I’ll put these (the entrees) under the heat lamps and then bring them out after you’ve had oysters.” I said we were not going to eat food that had spent 15-20 minutes under a heat lamp so forget about the oysters and leave the entrees. When our waiter went by a few minutes later and ask how things were, I told him the oysters never showed up so he should just take them off the bill. A couple minutes later, the person who delivered the food showed up with the oysters and seemed surprised when I told him we did not want them given we were half way through our entrees. I know many restaurants cannot find as much staff as they would like but this seemed to be more poor communication and attention to detail than understaffing. For the price, I was surprised my wife’s Louie barely half filled the plate and my crab stuffed prawns dish was just three. Had to have something to eat at home later given the lack of oysters and the small entree.
