We have been to Palisade on numerous occasions. It is always very attractive and wonderful for kids (they love feeding the fish), The “Luau Brunch” was fabulous. There was an abundance of great food: hot and cold crab, large shrimp, 2 varieties of salmon, sushi, bprine rib, ham, reakfast items of all sorts, fruit, desserts, and a chocolate fountain with goodies. Much more. Expensive, but worth every penny. Soft drinks, juice and coffee included. Service from Mariah was wonderful — competent, friendly. She brought a complimentary piece of birthday cake for our 5 year-old celebrant, as well. Great restaurant!

A dear friend took me out for Valentine's Day and suggested Palisade as I had never been there. Our reservation was 9:00pm, and we arrived on time. Surprisingly, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, but I was delighted when we were taken to a window table. The view is breathtaking, so I understand why my friend brings all of his friends and family here. However, the meal was underwhelming. They had a prix fixe, 3-course menu for this holiday: Starters, Entrees and Desserts for $75 per person. In my opinion, this was egregiously overpriced. I chose the jumbo prawn cocktail as my starter, and there were 2 - yes, 2 - jumbo prawns. My entree choice was salmon on a bed of mashed cauliflower with 5 asparagus spears (in place of Brussels sprouts). There was nothing special about this entree, no heart-shaped garnish or outstanding accompaniment. The salmon filet was approximately 6 oz., cooked perfectly but nothing special. What was outstanding was their bread: warm, soft center with a crisp, slightly salty crust. Happily, it was served with an abundance of soft butter. Sadly, I requested more bread when the basket was empty, and the bread never appeared. Really?!? The final dessert choices were woefully inadequate: a marscarpone cheesecake, a fondue with toasted marshmallows (messy), and a mass-produced flourless chocolate cake. Both of us opted for the cake, and again, it was nothing special. A breathtaking view of the Seattle waterfront could not compensate for the lack of inspiration demonstrated by the kitchen and the wait staff.

Have been coming to Palisades since 1992 and has never disappointed. The staff all make you feel like they are glad you're there. The food has always been excellent in taste and presentation. This is definitely a place to visit.

BEST RESTAURANT EXPRERIENCE EVER! My girlfriend and I brought our 4 month year old, we were celebrating our anniversary, I requested a view and they gave us one of the best! On top of that, they put rose pedals on our table, my lady found that lovely. We ordered the set priced 3 course valentines day meal for $75 a person, the food was absolutely fantastic! If you like seafood I recommend the crab stuffed colossal prawns. They let us taste before ordering, TJ was very friendly and professional. The wine flight was perfectly matched with the 3 course. Finally, our entire meal was covered! We're unsure whether the restaurant did this for us or somebody in the restaurant but we were told that they were happy to see a young couple taking care of a baby, this made my girlfriend teary eyed and I cant lie I may have been a bit choked by the gracious gift. We promise to return the gift to another young couple with a child in the future. We'll defiantly be returning to try the lobster and recommend all of our friends here for any occasion for now on!

We love to go to this most beautiful restaurant. It always makes me sad that the food is not that good. But that is usual with ambiance. I think excellent food would rate this restaurant over the top. Please don't serve bar food!!!

Excellent experience with top notch service. May be the first restaurant I've been to that knows how to cook a salmon to perfection. The rest of our order was delicious as well.

The view of Downtown/Elliot Bay is incredible and really sets the mood for an enjoyable dinner.

We had a special evening at Palisade. The view is fantastic and the service is really great. We both had fish and our dishes were cooked to perfection. The food is very rich, so if you're not into butter and salt, this is probably not a great choice for you. It's also quite pricey, but a romantic and memorable dinner spot.

The digital piano music is not entirely relaxing, but it does sound live.

For occasions worth celebrating, this is a reliable go-to place for brunch, lunch or dinner.
From the complimentary valet parking, all of the staff, the waterfront location facing Seattle, Mt. Rainier, Bainbridge Island, the inside lagoon, player piano above the bar, this is a relaxing and enjoyable place to dine and spend time with special people. Thank you Palisade.

Our server was less than attentive to our table which put a damper on the evening. She neglected to offer pepper for the bisque or salad and we never saw her again until we were way done. We were never asked how either was. They both were very goid but could have used a little pepper.
I ordered the prime rib medium rare and specifically said I wanted it more red than pink. It was served to me looking like a cooked rib steak. She said it was pan seared but would be fine. I cut into it and said no it was not fine. I give her credit as she took it away and returned soon after with a medium rare cut. Who pan sears a slice of prime rib? The 2nd cut was very good though, as were the brussel sprouts accompanying it. The au gratin potatoes were like shredded hash browns and were only lukewarm.
The cream brulee trio was stated as dark chocolate, vanilla and raspberry. The dark chocolate turned out to be coffee flavored. The others were very delicious.
The restaurant and view are beautiful.

Great seafood. Simple and well-prepared and the service was just right. Fabulous views (which is what we came for). My companion and I split a beet salad and a chocolate dessert. I had a simply prepared black cod, my companion a crab stuffed sole. Both came with vegetable accompaniments. Just the right amount of food, and perfect ambiance. If it weren't so out of the way, I'd be there every month.

While the service was very attentive and the location is fabulous, the food was meh. The lobster bisque was good as always but the risotto was not. My lunch partner also had a different risotto with her meal and it was left on the plate largely untouched. Should have chosen the salad. None of our party of three was well satisfied with our meal ( three different choices). Too bad. Love the location.

Went to Sunday Brunch for a birthday. We come here a lot for special occasions. But this time our service was noticeably less helpful than previously times. Our waitress kept forgetting to bring the birthday cake and candles for son. She was so late with it that by the time she showed up with it, it was too late, we had to leave. And we had asked her back when we first sat down to bring it pretty soon, so I’m not sure why it took so long. That was pretty disappointing since we brought my son there to celebrate his birthday, and we didn’t get to sing him happy birthday.

My daughter requested a birthday brunch for her and her friends in lieu of a party, and the staff at Palisades went out of their way to make her feel special and celebrated. There were rose petals on the table, a handwritten birthday message, and the waitstaff treated the small group of 10-12 year olds as if they were adults dining out. We had a member in our party with severe nut allergies and the chef came to our table to discuss nut-free options with our guest so she she need not worry about any cross-contaminated foods at the buffet. Personal service was absolutely outstanding. As far as food is concerned- that too exceeded expectations. The buffet offered everything one could hope for- crab legs, prime rib, salmon, variety of salads, brioche french toast, pancakes, and omelettes cooked to your specifications. Then there's the dessert room- complete with chocolate fountain! If you're looking for a place to eat for a special occasion, this is the place.

We visited Palisade on our visit to Seattle for our 10th wedding anniversary, and it was well worth it. The food & service were both awesome. They had a Happy Anniversary card & rose petals on our table when we got there. Our waiter had great recommendations for dinner. We decided against ordering dessert, but our waiter brought us dessert on the house anyways since it was our anniversary, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Palisade!

We have gone here for years and it seems to only get better over time. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. The ribeye and scallops are my personal favorite but everything is good here. Cocktails are also perfect, if you have a special occasion, let them know, they will make it memorable. :) Excellent quality food and great staff makes this Seattle gem worth the drive to the marina.
