Nothing like a business like this tacking on a secret 5% fee onto the check, blaming the fact they can't manage to pay their staff a decent wage. Honestly, if it's so hard, raise your damn prices.

This is one of the finest buffet brunches in town. The food is always fresh, creative, and delicious. The service is outstanding and the view of the marina and Elliott Bay is fantastic.

I loved this restaurant. Food was good and price was reasonable. Sat down at our table and there was a nice note card widhing my daughter a happy birthday. Only complaint is they didn’t give my daughter a birthday dessert and the mojito drink didn’t have any alcohol in it. Other than that I highly recommend this place.

Tried the pris fixe menu and was not disappointed. Crab and avocado rolls to start, seafood Louie for dinner, and a flourless chocolate torte to end a delicious meal...$36. The view and service made it a great evening with my husband and a good pal.

I had the most amazing time at the Palisade! From walking in the door to the stream rolling through the entryway, to the seating, and the amazing views. This is the first time I have been, and I was impressed beyond anything I could have expected!!

Thank you!

Michael

The food and service at Palisade were excellent, as always. However, I was taken aback when I noticed that our bill included a 4.9% "LWgeSC"--presumable this stands for living wage surcharge, since the explanation is that it is "added to contribute directly to employee wages." Really? You charge more than $40 for an entrée, $12 for a dessert, etc., but you need to add an unexpected surcharge to the bill in order to pay your staff fairly? I find that very offensive.

Enjoyed my time at Palisade, their view of the Seattle city skyline is gorgeous, and my son loves their fish filled creek in the middle of the restaurant.

Very high-end restaurant. Wide open, with very nice water views. However, we went early Sunday afternoon. We knew that they had a brunch buffet, but we had planned to order from the lunch menu. We were quite shocked when we got there and discovered that the brunch buffet was the only option. There is nothing on the lunch menu that warns you it is not served Sat/Sun. We ended up spending ~$50 more than we expected. Not a pleasant surprise.

Update: After this review posted the manager called me and we discussed what happened, and he was very good about it. He indicated that under hours it does say Brunch 9:30-1:30. However, my co-workers agreed that saying that does not indicate that you can't order from the regular menu during brunch, and the manager said they would look at this.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing. The view over the water is beautiful and if you are going for a special occasion it is the perfect spot. When you make the reservation they ask about special events and the restaurant plans accordingly. For example, they put rose petals on the table if you are celebrating an anniversary.

The service was remarkable. The reason I say this is because my Mom wanted Crab cakes but she is allergic to Bell Peppers. When we asked the waiter if the Crab Cakes had bell peppers he said yes but he came back a few moments later and said that the Head Chef finished the things he needed to do for now and would make her Crab Cakes without bell peppers. Needless to say, I thought that was amazing.

Overall, the restaurant was stunning and the food was amazing. Yes it is a little on the high priced side but if you are looking for somewhere special with great food, this is the place to be.

I went here to celebrate my husbands birthday and they had the table decorated with some rose petals and a little happy birthday note for him. These little details went a long way, it made us feel special. We sat near the large windows over looking the Water and it was beautiful. I ordered the Waygu steak and it was worth every penny! I would definitely come here again.

Everything was perfect . The service was magnificent from the moment our car door was opened by the valet until we were back in the car again. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. He made great suggestions for dinner--we had the Chef's recommended Seafood Trio. Perfectly prepared. Service was prompt, but we were not rushed st all. Just a perfect evening!!!

The lighting seems to be too dark. Food was okay. It’s hard to have conversations—the tables are close enough to each other that you can hear conversations on the next table. They also seem to fill sections of the main dining area in such a way where there are empty spaces but crowded in certain sections.

We enjoyed our meal and the service was all extremely friendly, and mostly timely. The views of the city and harbor were also spectacular. We especially liked the poke appetizer. The wagyu top sirloin and king salmon entrees were both good, but I wouldn't say particularly special at the price point compared to other local options. Unfortunately, it seems like one or more of the dishes had dairy in it, in spite of sharing my girlfriend's dairy allergy and she paid for it the next day :( Be very careful / clear if you have any food allergies!

We had our 1st wedding anniversary and were given a table with a great view of the city. Little touches like writing Happy Anniversary on the dessert plate was very nice along with the rose petals on the table. It didn't disappoint.
Thanks,

I think you should spend a little more time focusing on the food. The black cod was way over cooked and dry. The salmon was over cooked as well but on the plank it could handle it a little better.

We asked for a table of 7 well into the dining room with great views of the city for a special occasion. We were pushed up into the bus stand on the upper level next to the bar. Not very special. Leaving +$600 at the table for a average evening, I’m glad we were all in a good mood.

This restaurant has a fabulous view over a huge marina with a South exposure and floor to ceiling glass. Very bright and cheerful. The food presentation was very nice and was delicious. Our waitress was having a bad day (she was having some personal problems) but still did a reasonable job. This place has an ambiance worth checking out.

I had a lovely brunch to celebrate my sister's 75th Birthday. By arranging this beforehand the staff had set-up a perfect window seat with a Happy Birthday card and rose pedals on the table. Our seafood Louie salads and service was excellent. We have been coming to the Palisades for many years, especially for special occasions and have never been disappointed.

Brought our son and his girlfriend from Japan here for a special dinner on their visit. It was perfect! The view was beautiful with Seattle's waterfront and the food was incredible! Our waitress was very friendly and informative. My husband let her choose his meal and she was spot on even remembering that he catches salmon so she replaced part of the seafood trio with halibut cheeks instead of salmon. A wonderful evening and more!!

We used to go to Palisades fairly regularly — especially for their Sunday brunches — but got out of the habit for no particular reason. I'm so glad that we went back recently to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was incredible on many levels—the food (presentation, variety, taste, creativity), the ambience, the view, the attentive but not intrusive service, everything. We will most definitely not wait long to return for our next delightful meal. They lived up to their impeccable reputation once again!

This is our fourth time eating at Palisade for our anniversary. We ended up seated around two families with small children so the atmosphere was not as romantic as we had hoped and there was an issue with our food but management has been in contact with us and unexpectedly offered an opportunity to provide a better experience. We love the view and the ambience and this visit doesn't reflect our typical experience; usually it is utterly perfect and wonderful. Despite an anomaly of a visit, we are looking forward to future visits at the Palisade!

 (Portland)·Dined on January 2, 2018

We ordered Pinot noir wine ( their most expensive one), a poke appetizer, crab stuffed shrimp and the salmon dinner plate. The wine was excellent, the poke was passable, but not the best. The two main courses were barely edible. In fact neither of us could eat more than 15 or 20% of our meal. It tasted like old frozen crab, shrimp and fish. It was flavorless, and was accompanied by what can only described as a vegetable mush. My date had picked the place and I only read the reviews just before getting into my car to leave for dinner. Many of the reviews were scary, but It seemed too late to make any other reservations. I should have heeded the other reviews... everybody is not telling the same lie. This food is positively the worst that I have had at any time in recent memory. Any other restaurant choice would have been better, even McDonalds. At least it would have been edible. The positive reviews for this restaurant must certainly be phony because all the bad reviewers are telling the same story. Old, tough, tasteless, Awful food !

Our waiter was obviously too busy to pay close attention to us. I give him good marks when he was paying attention to us but all in all he was a disappointment.

Also, you should always place the champagne bucket on the mans side so he can pour for his wife.
