Absolutely amazing .
Definitely would recommend to anyone .
Will come back soon
We have had better food and paid less money for the same thing. It has been awhile since we last visited Palisade and we were hoping for a different experience. Unfortunately that did not happen. Beautiful view.
Great views, wonderful server, expensive, average food, management that would prefer to support a set of principles than bend to the needs of the customer.
The cost: $220 for two.
The food: 6 oysters on the half shell; 1 Martini: iced tea: sparkling water: crab cake; rib eye. The crab cake was good but my wife said that she has had better. The ribeye. This is where principle is more important than the customer. My personal taste and opinion is that it is very hard to make a steak taste good if you don't add flavor of some kind like marinade or steak sauce. Blackened meat is not good to me, by itself. When I don't marinade and cook it myself, I am in the habit of asking for steak sauce. This happens to be one of those places that live by the principle that steak stands on its own and don't offer steak sauce. They have a home made sauce that tastes like a bland burnt gravy. Needless to say that I brought home an uneaten $60 steak that I could have bought for $10 at the corner grocery store and will probably be eaten by my dog.
While I love the view, we probably won't return for the food.
The food is certainly not at the quality it used to be. The restaurant was nearly empty but hey seated the few tables together.
Great food, service with an outstanding view.
The restaurant is good and the sea food is freshly prepared. The ambience is very good with the views of the bay. The food is a bit pricey for the quality. The restaurant also adds a Living Wage Surcharge which is an insult to customers. For that reason, I will not be visiting this restaurant any more.
My mom was visiting, and we wanted to take her someplace nice with a water view. Palisade was perfect? Lovely window view, and the food/service was exceptional. We all enjoyed our lunch meals - great size and well crafted. We’ll be back to check out the night view!
Great service! Views were amazing as well.
Food was horrible. The bisque was more like tomato soup and the au gratin with my prime rib was so dry I couldn’t eat it. Asparagus had no flavor and we never saw our waiter. Have been coming here for years but not worth the price any more.
My companions loved the scallops. The louie salad was disappointing.
Came for the Christmas buffet which was very good. We were seated however up top, where we didn’t really have much of a view. One of the main reasons for booking here was to sit on the main floor where the views are.
Great Christmas buffet! Definitely recommend going next year.
Went for the Christmas buffet. Great spread with a ton of choices. Loved the service and the view
Very disappointing. Not our first time there. The food was mediocre at best. Over cooked and dry and also cold. Not the same experience we’ve had in the past. Time for a overhaul of interior and also menu. The waitress was lovely and attentive.
Poor service detracted from a nice meal out. Glaring mistakes were irritating: soup was delivered without a spoon, side plates were not brought with appetizer, server M.I.A. for such long stretches of time we had to flag down other staff for basic things ( another round of drinks, getting leftovers boxed up, etc). Service was disappointing to point I regretted my choice to dine here. The bisque was terrible tonight (watery and bland). No one asked me how it was, maybe because they knew it was awful(?). I regret not giving unsolicited feedback at the time. Dine here if someone else is treating, but don’t have high expectations for great service.
90th Birthday for my Mom
Great view. Good
Good and service. Expensive.
Fabulous as always. Never disappoints. Always bring family to the Palisades.
Everything about this restaurant was excellent. They made a special occasion more special.
Excellent food. We had salmon 2 ways, scallops, sushi, lobster bisque, and calimari. All were very well prepared, original, yet not over done. Even the bread was warm and fresh.
All was amazing! From the moment we arrived, hostesses were friendly, it was a pleasant surprises to find the congratulations detail on the table, and service was impecable. We love selection of brunch, and of course the bottomless mimosas 😊
Great for visitors with spectacular setting. Pretty pricey.
Wonderful thanksgiving dinner
Had a great Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Good food, good service.
We dined at Palisade for Thanksgiving. The food was cold, the buffet tables were filthy and the selection was poor. I think it was around 70pp. Not an experience we would recommend to other diners. We usually go to Rays Boathouse which is always great. We won’t go to Palisade again.
Great food, service & spectacular view! My only complaint is with the host. The restaurant was empty yet he made my handicapped elderly mother & me wait 10 minutes to be seated. The woman in line after us waited 15 minutes to be seated!!! We were headed to a movie afterwards & luckily, our excellent server was able to make up for the lost time.
First impressions set the tone for the entire dining experience so hopefully they’ll re-design their hosting system ASAP!! Waiting for a table in a fully booked restaurant is to be expected but in an empty restaurant, it’s inexcusable.
Our lunch celebration for a friend's 90th birthday was made so very special by your staff! Perfect table, fantastic waiter (he even convinced your great chefs to serve us a pupu tower mid-day for our appetizer)! Great food, service & your hostess took photos for us! Palisade remains our FAVORITE!!
Fantastic evening! From the rose petals to honor our anniversary to probably the best meal I've had in recent memory (Roasted Black Cod). Can't say enough good things.
Great service in a beautiful setting! Steak was cooked perfectly as ordered and the playing was pretty.
When booked online for our 35 year anniversary dinner at Palisade 11/10/19 at 6pm. I requested a window seat for 3 . However, they did not reserve the window seat for us that night and I was told by the front desk lady that “First come first “! When we got there , the middle table was already setup and reserved for us ! That meant Palisade did not think about or ignored our request!
very disappointed about that !
I like Salty’s at Alki , we had dinner there on 11/29 for my son’s birthday, Salty’s did keep their promise and had the window seat ready for us when we got there. My family was so happy!
We were about 3 minutes early for our lunch reservation - they had us wait until 5 minutes after our reservation time. But they seated us at the windows on a sunny November day. The view of the marina, downtown, and Mt Rainier was lovely. It was the last day of restaurant week and we had the special lunch. My salmon dip was okay, steelhead was excellent. My daughter had miso soup and surf and turf - steak and shrimp. She had leftovers from the generous portion. The $6/glass special wine was good. The $5 dessert, flourless chocolate torte was way too rich - like eating frosting. Service was good and, especially for the price, it was a nice meal. The ambiance is a pretty much 70’s - a player grand piano for music, beamed ceiling with acoustic tile, etc. But the setting is great.
One of the best, if not the very best, for a fine dining lunch experience. Food is always delicious, service wonderful and gorgeous view even on a rainy day!
There must be two chefs running the kitchen, one for dinner and one for lunch, as the menu items were very different at the two meals. Excellent caesar salad and steelhead and gelato at dinner.
Enjoyed lunch during Seattle Restaurant Week. Everything was great!
My favorite restaurant in Seattle.
Restaurant week choices were perfect in variety, preparation and value
