Amazing food and service and for what you get surprisingly very reasonable pricing. Our waitress was so very attentive and always made sure our glasses were filled. Food was cooked to perfection and of course it's hard to beat the view. Can't wait to go back soon!
First, let me say that I've been to Palisade several times and it has always been a favorite of mine because of it's unique location in Elliot Bay, the quality of food, the service, and the ambiance. However, I decided to go for my birthday this past weekend and there was something that generally was a little off. The food quality was not where I remember it being, and the value was clearly tied, more to the escalation of general costs of dining out in Seattle and the location; rather than high quality food, decent portions, and excellent service. I don't think this was their best night, as there were several celebrations going on in the restaurant; including my birthday. I had a seafood combo, and I would venture to guess that I probably got 4-5 ounces of protein, in the form of a small piece of King salmon, 2 medium scallops, and 1 prawn. My wife had the salmon, that was set upon a kale leaf and potato/fennel hash; the presentation was not what either of us were accustomed to based on previous visits. Needless to say, we left less than satisfied and bewildered, questioning whether we received fair value for the money.
This place is amazing! Loved the whole experience, and the staff were al phenomenal
We celebrated our engagement and it was a beautiful place to do it. Everything from ambience, views, people, and food were great! My only comment is that the food was too salty for me but I would still go back.
Our waitress was outstanding! Beautiful
Seattle lunch with friends. Thank you!
We have been to their brunch many times over the past 5 years or so. We love the ambience. However the food menu seems to be basically the same every time. They could offer some more options that are dairy free and gluten-free in addition to their already large menu.
Palisade is my favorite restaurant to take my granddaughter to for her birthday each year. They have a wonderful children’s menu (sorry it ages out at 11) and a good early eating menu for adults. If you let them know if is a birtday celebration ahead of time they will put rose petals and a birthday card on the table. The dessert for the birthday person is very nice and comes with an edible chocolate Happy Birthday sign. My granddaughter dresses up for this outing and always hopes that we will retain the tradition of eating at Palisade.
Chef Bret created one of finest meals I've had anywhere-blackened steel head, white asparagus, mushroom mashed potatoes. In addition the lobster/crab bisque was exquisite. Coupled with the view on a clear day, this experience was a slam dunk for a birthday treat.
The chef was kind enough to come out to meet my friend and me after the meal, and our server was helpful and friendly.
I was disappointed. I had been here several times in last 40 years. Presentation of our plates was careless and maybe rushed looking. Food did not look appetizing. It tasted overcooked and sort of stale tasting versus fresh. The space was cold and mostly vacant. Maybe if they filled one part of this super large restaurant and then open another section it would feel more warm and welcoming. Because there were so many options for where to seat us it would have more sense to give us a view table. I probably will not return. Given the quality of our dinner is was way over priced. One good note is that staff and manager or host were pleasant and professional.
5 STAR EXPERIENCE. Our server Tom was super nice and knowledge. The cod he recommended immediately became the reason that we visit this restaurant again. Also had their seafood tower, oyster was big and fresh.
I was here in 2017 and was impressed with the selection I returned 2919 and I was shocked at the difference!! Had a not sprained my ankle that morning I would have left to go somewhere else once I saw how few selections were available. In a town that surrounded my water there was barely any seafood. The oysters were shooters YUCK! I have more shrimp out when I have a dinner party at my own house. Truly not worth the money except for $10 mimosas and the creme brûlée. Not worth the money when there are other choices! View of course is always good.
Went for brunch, very delicious!!! The service couldn't have been better and the ambience was awesome too. Would definitely go again for a special occasion.
Always a great experience! Sarah was outstanding as always! She is the portrait of Service Excellence EVERY time! The view is spectacular, even on a rainy day/night. The food was amazing. We had the Crab & Lobster dip and Lobster Bisque (both to die for!). Entrees Surf & Turf and Filet were perfectly prepared. Finished with the best Creme Brûlée we have ever had! Can’t say enough great things about Palisades! Have been coming here for 15years now and it NEver disappoints!
Our server was great. I think his name was David. He had a beard and he lived in west seattle
First time there. Had a fabulous time. Will come back!
Been going to Palisades for years. Food quality has deteriorated over the years.
Great holiday evening with friends. The food and service were excellent.
Poor service had to wait forever once seated for a waitress. Buffet was not very good and way overpriced. Two of us had one drink and the buffet and it was $170.00 plus tip. Turkey and stuffings were very dry. Sushi not good. Like Palisade for dinner and brunch but not for the Christmas buffet. Too costly and not good food.
Excellent Holiday experience. Our server was Deborah and she made a New Yorker feel like she was home for the holidays!
Stella was our server and she was amazing!! The Christmas buffet was excellent. The environment was warm and inviting with a great holiday buzz in the air!
Palisade has no pretenses about what it is: glamour, entertainment, hoopla vs. fine dining. The food is just fine, nothing better. The atmosphere is what counts. The view across the Magnolia marina, the sight of the heron nesting just below the front window, the breakwaters holding against Elliott Bay. You don't come here to reminisce; you come here to take a quick breath and say "ah!" We were especially lucky because our server, DeDe, was all about service and fine dining even in a place where it doesn't normally happen. She knew about wines, and cutlery, and eating in courses, and she was wonderful. Also amusing with a great sense of humor. We thanked her profusely for working on Christmas Day, and she demurred. I hope her teenage son realizes how much she puts herself out for him.
a disappointment and at $60 each !
Turkey was VERY dry and prime rib had a lot of gristle
Amazing! Thank you TJ for the great Christmas day meal! Look forward to seeing you again!
Christmas Day brunch that wasn’t hectic. The venue is incredible with a water river running through the restaurant. Seafood abundant at their brunch price is a real plus.
Beautiful restaurant. Buffet for Christmas Eve. Good was really good for buffet. Would love to return for regular menu
Beautiful view restaurant with excellent servers. Brunch is awesome.
Daughters loved the chocolate fountains!
Overpriced mediocre food sprawl. Can’t call bottomless mimosas if you have to wrangle someone to serve you every time you need a refill. Disappointing.
I have been to Palisade many times over the years and, with some trepidation, returned last week for lunch. It has become over priced and under quality, but this time, on top of so-so food, the service from our wait person was terrible. For a $42 lunch, I would not expect to have to ask repeatedly for things, only to have them arrive at the wrong time, etc. Additionally, the food was overly salty, which hampered enjoyment. Although I believe it's the prettiest restaurant in town, for that money, I have lots of alternatives that are a much better value providing better food and service.
Waiter was awesome.
Beautiful view, great ambiance.
My wife and I have been steadfast customers of Palisade since 1995. While we have tried other Seattle restaurants, we always come back to Palisade. The food is excellent, and while they have been known to have different chefs with their own ideas, we have never been unhappy with the food. The service and waitstaff are extremely efficient and professional. I would daresay that if someone had an unpleasant experience there, it was more on that person than the staff or menu at Palisade. As mentioned, we have been customers for over 23 years and have celebrated wedding anniversaries, birthdays, pre-theater or symphony events or just the occasional wonderful meal out at Palisade. I would not frequent a reataurant for that period of time if it were not an exceptional place!
We love going to the Santa Breakfast at Palisades every year. They never disappoint.
Wonderful as always!
Ambience is top of the list and I imagine it’s even awesome in Summer/spring. Food is excellent and fairly priced. Must visit dining choice and booking is a must
We arrived after the power came back on but the staff had been let go for the night. The waiter was making the best of things but the food wasn’t very hot and was undercooked. Oh well. Lesson learned.
The food was superb and the staff attentive. It has been years since my last meal there. I will return soon!
Amazing all around!
We were all disappointed in the quality of the buffet brunch. The macadamia pancakes used to be great but it was just terrible and couldn't even eat it. So sorry to see that the food has really gone downhill from the past. Perfect location but food needs to improve ALOT!
Very nice weekend brunch buffet. A wide variety of foods to choose from - including breakfast items, salads, seafood, roast beef, pastries and desserts. Bottomless mimosas too. Good service and nice view of the marina, Elliot Bay and the city skyline.
