Palermo's 95th Fine Italian Cuisine
Great overall experience, fabulous food, snd excellent service with moderate pricing. Great place to host any event, ours being a Birthday.
Great food and service, nice atmosphere, but I was taken aback by not being required to show proof of vaccination as has been mandated by Cook County. I'll be back after the mandate is lifted.
Drove an hour to get there, waited at our table for 15 minutes without being acknowledged by a waitress, we left. There were more empty tables than full, so they were not busy yet. Can't give 0 stars and finish the review or I would. Used to be my favorite, been going there for 40 years.
Great Pizza and Cosmo cocktails. Aaron was our waiter, and was excellent. He is an asset to the restaurant. My only criticism is that they didn't have any beer on tap as they usually do. Also, they were out of most beer brands. Only had a few available.
Always good ravillo.
Great food and experience.. one thing though.. pasta with scallops was extremely fishy.. that was the only bad thing!
So consistantly good, in every category! I hope Cook County's vaxx proof policy doesn't hurt their business, I can't imagine a world without Palermo's 95th!!
The food was EXCELLENT! Our server worked furiously with all of her responsibilities and did a wonderful job.
Our server Aaron was great and the pizza was delicious as always!
They took way too long to bring our food, check, and boxes.
As usual the food was delicious and our server, Brooke is a rock star. Polite, efficient, personable and kind!
Waitress was awesome!!
The service was so slow! Trapped there for two hours wanted dessert never happened. Second time will not go back.
First time back since Covid Food was still great but could notice every thing else wasn't and won't be the same
Hard to see what is the new normal and I grieve to see your staff having to struggle with so many tables while trying to serve us all and our expectations
Life is different I pray I can still count on your food memories to remind me of when we used to care about each other
The food was excellent as always
Consistently excellent food and service!
Perfect. Delicious. This restaurant was very busy the night we went. Great ambiance.
A classic south side jewel.
Best restaurant on the southside from pizza to pasta all is great
Food is always fabulous. Maybe a little short staffed? Overall still one of my favorite restaurants.
Thankfully we were out for a leisurely dinner since it was extremely busy. A party of 16+ came in at the same time as us and our server got assigned to them in addition to his full section of tables. I felt bad for the guy because as a former server, that is a situation where either your section or your large party is going to suffer. If you’re being assigned to a large party like that, you should only have the large party or MAYBE 1-2 extra tables. Our server was able to keep his cool and get things done, even if it was a little slower than most would like. Most tables noticed and cut him some slack, thankfully.
The food - he recommended a creamy chicken dish that was out of this world delicious. The portions of everything are huge, kids meals included! I’m looking forward to my leftovers later today!
We had a wonderful time. We had a table where we were away from other people by the washrooms. We were able to communicate with each other and the food was excellent. Our server was very helpful and available.
Son was in from out of town and have to have pizza!!
Palermos never disappoints. That’s why we chose to celebrate my wife’s birthday here with the family.
My only problem is the bathroom situation. It’s seems like when we go there there’s always a woman’s bathroom that is out of commission. A good size restaurant only have two women’s stalls and now you have one not working! I think they’re more concerned about the new gambling area they built.
The waiting area was packed like sardines in the middle of a pandemic! . Getting seated only took a few minutes because we had a reservation but they put us right by the door and it was freezing cold. There were no other tables available in the restaurant. It was difficult to enjoy the meal with so many people walking by coming in and out of the restaurant. The food was made to order and nice and hot once it arrived, but it took a while. We loved being able to use the complimentary valet service. That helped Us to get my 81-year-old mother in the restaurant safely without having to go back and park. May try again on a weekday.
Good food, reasonable priced. Relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyable experience.
Food and drinks were excellent. Mellinzana Nona is fantastic.
Clean, elegant atmosphere. Waitress Ms. Ann very attentive. Lots of parking in the rear. Bathroom was clean. Drinks are VERY GOOD! Yahoo to the mixologist (bartender).
Great food. Great waitress. Love this place.
It was a friends get together. We all live in different directions so we always pick here. Haven’t been since Covid. It was great.
First time here. Love this place and the food and the service.
Exceptional food and service.
The food was good but not great. The service was very good though and the drinks were good too!!
I was very disappointed in the dinner that we had at Palermo's. The service was good, our waitress was working her butt off - that was about the only good thing. My husband had two drinks and they were so small! The two of them together would equal one drink somewhere else. We ordered an antipasto salad which I will say was very good, and I think the waitress prepared that. We ordered a pizza which was probably one of the worst pizzas I ever had. I know some people like a "well done" pizza, but I do not. I did not ask for it to be "well done" it is just the way it was. It was pretty much just burnt, and NOT GOOD at all. I was not about to send it back and wait for a new one because we had already waited 40 minutes for that piece of crap one. I did complain to the waitress and she took off a round of drinks from the bill. I would not recommend this restaurant for pizza and drinks at all!
Good thin crust pizza, fried calamari and antipasto salad. Good food all around.
Nothing to rave about. It’s a neighborhood staple. The food was mediocre. I had chicken calabrese. It’s basically chicken and potatoes over a bed of angel hair pasta. The food was swimming in the spicy sauce. I ended up having bread and wine for dinner. I’ll stick with pizza next time.
The calimari and fettuccine Alfredo were pretty good. My soup -chicken broth with angel hair pasta and meatballs - was TERRIBLE. I also ordered the Radiatore Pasta with Vodka Sauce and if I wasn’t on a date I would have 100% sent it back. I do not recommend! There was no vodka sauce, it was a regular tomato sauce and poorly done at that. Their pizza is excellent so next time will just be ordering that. Very disappointed!!
The best pizza in the history of pizza!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As always, the food and service are very good. My complaint is being seated right next to a table where the occupants seemed to be shouting instead of talking in a normal tone. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived and we would have preferred a more separate set up.
