The food was great as always. The service was not up to its usual high standard, which was disappointing.

We have been to Paladar twice in last few weeks and the place has changed.Items have new recipes. There seems to be a effort to leave out ingredients and to diminish portions in an attempt to maintain prices-no sugar cubes in the mohitos,no hearts of palm in the so named salad, bean soup portions much smaller than before and with less garnish .Sorry to see such changes in a restaurant we used to enjoy.

We’re at Paladar on the New Year’s Eve. Place was busy and loud. Music was great, but service not so much. We ordered from prefixed menu. My husband’s first course came right away, but for mine it took forever, and I thought they forgot. It came pretty much at the same time as our second course.
I like the place, but I’m not sure if they had enough stuff for the busy night as it was on New Year’s Eve.
I’m hoping for better service next time.

New Years Eve was very crowded and very loud. Very fun! Food is always delicious. New Years is a hard night for restaurants and they did a nice job!

the food was terrible, over cooked, and over priced. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for food. The drinks were ok but not spectacular. Our waiter comped our dessert b/c I think he could tell how disappointed we were in the food. That part was good.

We were seated on New Year's Eve without delay. Service was prompt and friendly. The staff kept watch on our beverages and during the meal several times we were asked how our food tasted and if we needed anything. Live music was a welcome addition.

We tend to order the same dishes and drinks on each visit, having found menu favorites. The consistency and quality are impeccable. The standard guac, your chips and a Margarita are always a great start. On the Argentinian Mixed Grill, the chicken tends to be a bit dry compared to shish ka bob chicken at another favorite restaurant, Anatolia Cafe. Perhaps the meat could be marinated or cooked a little less so it tasted as good as the steak and sausage. My wife's quinoa burger was excellent as usual. It was beautiful to look at, too!

The only gripes are minor. The back corner table in the bar area and other tables along the windows can get cold. The background sound level of diners' voices can get too loud to hear our table's conversation without people needing to speak loudly. That causes us to skip dessert or an extra drink. The waitress could have raised her voice a bit more so that she could be more easily heard over the other noise.

Our waitress Ashley was outstanding, I'd ask to sit in her section if possible. Rum flight was a little harsh as a tasting flight, it was interesting but a one and done for me. We had everything from Calamari to burgers to duck tacos, and desert. Food is always good. Enjoy!

Was very busy the night we were there. Started out great...guacamole trio excellent. Went downhill from there. Soups ordered were not hot and very small portion for such a large bowl. Entrees took forever to arrive. Coffee was good, desserts also took a very long time to arrive. Dining experience was nearly 3 hours! Kitchen staff go on strike perhaps? Have had both lunch and dinner at Paladar several times. Food, service are very inconsistent. Questionable if I (we) will return.

We really enjoyed our visit, however we were disappointed to hear that they were not offering unlimited mimosas . Nevertheless , per glass the cost was 3 bucks. I had the veggie burger which was very good.

I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it, however this meal was very disappointing. We had the mango salsa which tasted like it had started to "turn" and the usual selection of chips was mostly one type. I had the fish tacos for my lunch. The fish was probably a 1 ounce filet in each taco. It was incredibly overcooked and the salsa was still frozen. (Which was a surprise because I wouldn't have suspected that it would have ever been frozen??)
Not a great experience, which is a shame. I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Try the pork tacos on the Chef's Special menu. They're great. Also recommend their soups and side salads. Substitution of sides or special requests are not a problem for Paladar's.

Found the restaurant to be overpriced for the food offered. The only unique feature of the restaurant is their rum flights that provides the ability to same different rums that are offered.

Ambiance and service was great! Drinks were good. Food was just OK. The guacamole was good. My wife enjoyed her pork al pastor tacos but my choice of the feijoada stew was underwhelming. It was kind of bland and unbalanced — way too much meat in ratio to the other ingredients. I’d go back, but will definitely choose something different to eat.

Our waitress was terrible! We ordered guacamole soon after we were seated and we waited for about 20 minutes and the waitress comes over to tell us the guacamole was delivered to the wrong table- no apology, no compensation for that. Luckily the food was good, never got re-fills on water, never came back to check on us, didn’t offer a dessert menu or coffee. We had come to celebrate a birthday and it was noted in our open table reservation, which was completely ignored. We were not happy!

The seating was a little to close to other tables. You can visibly see others are uncomfortable with how close they are to the other tables by the couch area. The food was great, just wish the spacing was bigger. There wasn't a sense of privacy while dining at this location!

We went for happy hour in the bar area, drinks were AMAZING, food was good. Our waitress was really nice but she kept forgetting our drink order and we were trying to get our drinks while happy hour was still happening so it was a little irritating but she was really great about it so overall it was a great experience and we are definitely going back!

One flaw, after dozens of visits...and sadly, one that has put me off on ordering one of my favorite Paladar meals any time in the near future - Chipotle Honey Berkshire pork chop. The rest of our table's order was good, and the waitress was warm and friendly - she recognized us from our many visits. Unfortunately, just before our entrees came out, she was slammed with a # of tables, and didn't get back quickly to check if the meals were fine.

I'd ordered the pork medium, stating that some pink was ok. This pork has ALWAYS been fantastic - nicely grill marked, nearly all white, yet glistening with juices and a tinge of pink. As my knife touched the surface, I could feel this chop was underdone by quite a bit. The pork was medium rare to rare, and off putting. There looked to have been an attempt at butterflying, tho it was a 1/3 to 2/3 cut - uneven at best - tho it didn't help the doneness, as it wasn't a full butterfly. Unless the diner requests well done, there's no reason to butterfly without at least asking the customer first.

By the time we were checked on, the rest of my family was done. The manager (who we've never seen before) came over, and seemingly thought the cook on it was correct. She offered dessert on the house, which always rings thru as being how some of the people in charge end up taking care of the 'situation'.

Looks like next time, it's up to us as diners to flag someone down if we haven't been checked back in within 5 minutes of receiving our entrees...this imperfection won't keep us from returning, but 'the other white meat' won't be ordered any time soon.
