We had a fantastic waitress and experienced great service and food at brunch.
I've been here several times and each time I've not only had a great meal but the menu has so many cool choices that you need to go back to sample everything. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on Rums and didn't push us towards the most expensive thing on the menu which I always appreciate.
This is a great place for any number of occasions and/or events. It's a good deal all around and I'm glad that they made camp here in Montgomery County.
Food was great but the services was no so great. Our drinks were delivered to the wrong table. The meal we ordered for the kid at our table never showed up and our bill had other peoples drinks on it. To top it off, the credit card that was used to pay was dropped and luckily the manager found it. I am hoping this was only a one time issue because it was busy, but I didn't feel like we were taken care of at all.
Was pretty good, nothing too extraordinary!
It would have been nice if we were offered a dessert menu. The waiting staff just gave us a check when we were almost done with the food. Looks like they were in a hurry. We usually order the churros but we did not order it that day.
He waiter didn’t have the table set when we got to our seat. We never got the complimentary chips and dip. We asked one of the servers if we can have utensils since they were missing from our table and she responded rudely. The food came relatively fast and tasted really good. The hostesses/hosts were very friendly when we entered and were easy to approach with our table not being set situation. I think we would have enjoyed our visit and the food more if the service was better.
Visiting friends in the neighborhood and they recommended Paladar as their favorite. For good reason! Everything was fabulous! Make your own guacamole, sangria, and amazing entrees. Don’t miss it!
Wonderful thank you!
I really enjoy going to this place The food is good and the staff is very friendly.
Overcrowded and food was subpar
Delicious & great atmosphere! Gauc & tacos are slammin’!!
We went here for dinner after attending a play in DC. I don't know if it is the right term but I would call it Latin fusion in terms of menu. Food was original and flavorful, we were both very happy with our meals. The guacamole appetizer, while good, was definitely lacking in onion but still enjoyable. We shared a flan for dessert which was exceptional. Service was consistently attentive and excellent. My only reservation would be the noise level which was very loud. We would definitely return if in the area. Also, they have an extensive "rum bar" for anyone who is interested in that.
Service was extremely slow
I met some friends for brunch. Cute restaurant and I loved all of the outside seating. The restaurant was also not that crowded, which is always a plus for me. Service was good, although a little slow. I was not overly impressed with my dish, but it could accommodate a larger group.
Waited for 20 minutes in bar area high top for our table to be cleared and for drink orders to be taken. Server was inattentive. Never asked how food was or apologized for the delay.
Tried to sit us next to loud, large party going on, and when we said no hostess said, yeah no one wants to sit there.
Then sat us at table with bar right behind us so still very loud but we stayed.
After bringing water, didn’t see waitress for 15 minutes to order, then never really checked on us.
I’ve been there many times before and have generally been happy, but this was a less than stellar experience
Like going on a gastronomic Latin cruise, with choices from everywhere in Latin America. While I like to sample something new each visit, (and get rewarded based on the amount spent each time) my wife's favorite dish is the Shrimp & Grits. The freshly made guac has been consistently good, and the other appetizers are large enough to share. Also strive to drink Latin at Paladar, with mojitos, margaritas and caipirinhas my usual choices.
Their rewards program is based on dollars spent on F&B, while there are frequent special rewards alerted by the Thanx app. Easy to use, and able to catch up in case a meal wasn't credited on the dining day.
Also appreciate being able to make reservations, even last minute if tables available.
Good food but slow service and was very loud
My cheesy bread was overcooked and my friend’s vegan appetizer came with cheese.
I made reservations on Monday for Friday and Open Table has the option of choosing outdoor seating, which I did. However, they do not offer reserved outdoor seating, which makes no sense. So our request was not honored.
Came here for a girls night with out of town guests. Our waitress did not speak very good English so our communication was an issue. Add to that the level of noisiness in the restaurant, and it amounted to a very difficult time communicating with our waitress. My out of town guests were asking questions about the available wines and the waitress was not knowledgeable about any of them. She also did not have any recommendations when we asked for her opinion on what food to order. She actually responded with "you can order whichever one you want". The restaurant was quite busy, so I guess I will give her a pass on the fact that she was not all to happy with having to answer too many questions. When we got our food, it was only lukewarm and my plantains did not come out until I had to ask again for them. Because this restaurant was not overly expensive, I was not too angry about all of the disappointments. I would try and give this place one more chance just because I liked the ambiance. I ordered the red snapper chef special and it turned out to be tasty (even though cold).
Food is outstanding (jerk chicken, especially), but the service is extremely slow and inattentive. Based on four visits, the servers are all very friendly, but 45 minutes can pass before you see him or her again. Quick mojito refill? No, you must wait for at least 30 minutes. Notwithstanding the great food, I'm ready to give up on this one.
Introduced a friend to this restaurant and he was very happy. We will all be back. Our server was very helpful, patient and attentive. Nice night all around.
Enjoyed the pan-latin options. My friend really loved your Cuban sandwich.
This place normally doesn't do buffets but offered one for Easter. The food was mediocre and the service was absolutely awful. I've been before for regular meals and would rate it somewhat better, but they clearly did not train their staff at all about how to manage the buffet. No table bussing, difficult to get drink service, messed up billing. Probably will not be back.
Paladar never ceases to amaze me. Their food is fresh, modern, and full of flavor! I love the atmosphere and the service was great. I will always go back.
Our visit Sunday was because the restaurant was trying out a buffet brunch instead of their regular menu. I spoke to the manager to suggest that the buffet be a regular Sunday brunch offering. He told me that it was being tried out in all of their restaurants yesterday & would pass along my feedback.
The lamb meatballs were awesome!!
It was great!
Good food. The salsas are a particular favorite of ours. The chicken tortilla soup is also delicious. The service was friendly, but a little inattentive. Once the original food order was taken, they were back to deliver the food and again once we were completely done eating. The coffee that was ordered with dessert didn't come out until the check came. We'll be back, but I wouldn't come for a special occasion or if you are in any kind of hurry.
Had lunch on a Sunday there were a number of large parties celebrating various things that added to the noise volume I suspect on a regular day or evening it would be much more manageable food was outstanding
We love this place probably been there 5 times within the last 2 months food is great service could get a little bit better it seems like the waiters spend more time at the bar eating area then taking care of the dining area.
Our waiter was awesome. He showed up exactly when we needed something and was very good about answer menu questions. The food was great. We laughed about our clean plates at the end of the meal. We made sure to get every drop of the sauce.... very tasty.
The servers were very attentive and very pleasant. There was a nice variety of Cuban appetizers and entrees and the ones that we got were good. I started off with a mojito and was very disappointed. It was a tall glass, but I couldn't taste any minute or, for that matter, rum. We both had wine after that, which we liked. The biggest problem was the decibel level. If you are dining while there are a lot of people at the bar, there is no place in the restaurant where you can get away from the loud noise.
Waiter was awesome! Food was amazing!
As always the food and service are great. Fun place for brunch. A longer drive to Crown since the North Bethesda location is no longer there. However worth the drive.
This was one of the worse meals I have had in a long time! I know it is a chain but as a place I have gone to multiple times , Paladar has just gone down hill. The food is just yuck! No flavor and it is expensive. Last time I will be going.
Food was flavorful but too spicy. Best part of the meal were the drinks, yucca fries, sweet plantains and desserts. Waiter was very nice as well.
Good place, shame we could not get a special coffee. Machine broken. Should think they have a spare!
Food is great
