The server was great
Food was good but not exceptional. Would recommend the restaurant since it had more of an eclectic selection than I have seen before--and the margaritas were very good.
Great Latin Rum Bar in such a cool area
Great food and service. Price is decent, but I think it is worth it. Great selection of alcohol to match food
I met a friend for lunch. We hadn’t been there for awhile. The food and service were very good. We both had the taco lunch with 2 different tacos and a side for $10. It was a great value and the tacos were interesting and delicious. The black bean soup was terrific! Definitely will return for lunch again!
Paladar works best when you are in a festive mood and plan on having a few drinks at dinner. The food is good if a little uneven; often great ideas are marred by execution.
Noise level was unbearable. Next time will ask for carpeted dining room instead of bar area.
Interesting assortment of tasty LatAm cuisines (of which I'd like to see more of!) as well as some standard fare. Service was first rate as were the rum drinks!
Excellent food and great service.
This was my first time here and I really liked it. Everything tasted awesome and the staff was kind.
Good food, service was poor. Their waiters and waitress are usually very good, the one we had this evening was marginal at best. She was slow in serving us and not accessible. Not to mention she had an “attitude”.
Service was great and the food was even better! I would definitely come back. The only thing I can criticize is their drinks. I had the Mojito which I would not recommend. The pineapple margarita was okay but overall, nice place with delicious food!
Had an enjoyable night celebrating a family member birthday. The ambiance and food were great!
It was OK..........,,!
The service here has been unimpressive for some time, which is why we have not visited in so long. After today, it will be another long time before we go back. The one drink (coffee) the table ordered did not come until after our appetizer was finished. We also did not have silverware for two guests until well after that as no one checked on us. We waited nearly an hour for our food, which was served lukewarm, at best. In the meantime we watched another table sit down and leave as they did not receive any service. I understand the restaurant was understaffed, but it was also empty as we came at an odd time. The manager did offer us a free dessert but the overall experience will not have us coming back. I think it is important to let the staff know of issues when they still have a chance to remedy, but I don’t enjoy having to do that every time I come here. Maybe we will order takeout because we do really like the food, just not the dine-in experience.
We had an amazing time! Unlimited mimosas for $15, with no time limit within brunch hours. Our waitress was personable and fun. The food was SO good. Will definitely be back!
All staff were very attentive from the bartenders to the wait staff to the manager that checked on tables personally on a busy NYE.
Our server was great. Very friendly
We sat in a booth that had a wall length mirror next to it. The waitress came, looked in the mirror and fixed her hair, and then looked down at us and said hi. Every time she came to the table, which wasn’t very often, she looked in the mirror at herself and touched up her hair. She never cleared any of the finished appetizer plates or dinner plates from the table. The guacamole was excellent but everything else was disappointing. Even the room was a mess with the soap dispenser hanging off the wall. Never going back to that place.
Too expensive for a poor breakfast buffet. The food was not good. not too many choices for the price.
I ordered a mango chicken salad. The salad was tasteless. The chicken was overcooked. The mango wasn't ripe but chewy. Nothing else interesting in the salad to chew on. Waste of money.
The food, as usual, was excellent. We were particularly thrilled by the number of vegetarian options. The brussel sprout and sweet potato tacos were fantastic. Our server was overall good, but it was a bit frustrating that she seemed confused by a party member who does not eat eggs. Ultimately it worked out. We were very happy, though, that the manager came back to inform our party member that the quinoa burger bun had an egg wash. He was able to provide a lettuce wrap instead. The food was really excellent and we'd definitely recommend going back.
The place is very nicely decorated. The service was good enough. However the food is so flat, something that you forget in a week, completely average at best. We went for brunch, my wife had the “feijoada”,a “popular” one. This was a black bean stew, period. This is not feijoada. Not even close. Where in the world is the feijoada already served over rice? No farofa, an staple in feijoada. And the taste, so uneventful, our home made feijoada is 10 time better and we don t dare to put a restaurant. Then i ordered chorizo and scrambled eggs tacos. I can do the same thing at home in a rush, nothing stood out.we ordered cafe con leche(cuban style),the waitress told us could take a while, didn t understand why. We had to roder to steam again the milk, was like microwaved, no silky texture as the steamed milk in cuban cafe con leche. We really enjoyed the grapefruit fresh juice. And that was it.
Sad that latin food is presented in such a boring menu and delivery, when is so tasteful and delicious. This place may be good for rum, but has no chance as a restaurant. Never coming back. Dining is a expericnce for the senses, this place failed to deliver.
The restaurant is beautiful but our waiter was just an order taker. He brought us our entrees before we even finished our appetizers. He never checked on us to see how our meals were and he started clearing our tables before we were all finished eating. Disappointing service with subpar, non-authentic food.
While the overall vibe of the place was decent, and the cocktails were good, the food left a lot to be desired. Appetizers were generally very small portions at upper end prices. The most disappointing portion of the meal was the entree. I ordered a Argentinian mixed grill, and the chorizo was dry as bone with little spice to it. The steak was tough and under salted and extremely grisly. If you go just for cocktails, it's probably great, but the food was a bummer.
Food and service was great. New things on the menu since we had last been including new fun cocktails.
Enjoyed the guacamole sampler and the mojo salmon.
I went there to meet a friend of mine. It just so happened to be during the Nationals World Series game #1. The waitress was great. The appetizers were pretty good. However, my main course, which was grilled chicken (with cilantro rice and black beans) was dry. The pomegranate-ginger mojito and the pomegranate-ginger Margarita was amazing. Overall... it was a good experience.
This has become our go-to place in the Crown. Easy access from the garage, consistantly delicious food and great, friendly service.
Very good food and service! Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the evening there!
It was a lovely fall evening so we enjoyed the patio. The flowers and lighting made Friday evening more festive. We missed corn chips with the guacamole. The plantains chips were think and hard. The braised beef tacos were not as good as usual. One guest enjoyed the grill platter. Both of our servers were very attentive and professional.
Recommend the braised beef tacos. Next time I will be trying the pork tacos.
The service was great, nice waitress and informative. Food was delicious, and our whole table enjoyed it all. Drinks were amazing too! Definitely will be coming back.
It was the restaurant's 5 year anniversary and it was chaotic and very loud. It would have been good to know that when booking. I would not have gone that night. Great guacamole and fabulous Brazilian cheesy bread.
Very good service and the food was great!
Our waiter was good but rushed us through our meal. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert and our waiter brought it when we were half done with our entrees. Needless to say, the bread pudding was no longer warm by the time we got to it. It all felt rushed from drinks to dessert. I guess that could be good if you are in a rush but my wife and I were trying to enjoy a nice dinner and conversation.
