The overall dining experience was exceptional! Everything! We had the famous romaine salad with the big crouton, the fire-roasted clams, the ravioli with sage butter and the pork coppa and we couldn’t decide what was our favorite. It was all so yummy!!! We’re looking forward to coming back and we may be ordering the same dishes. 😁
This place was the real deal. We went early for happy hour and were about the only ones there as the city was in the midst of the shut down. Our waiter took extra time with us to explain the menu and helped us pick dishes that were all delicious as well as drinks to pair with our food. It was a fabulous experience and I would most definitely go again!
Consistently awesome! A favorite date night spot.
Food and service were great. My group was able to get a table in a more private area and they still gave us HH pricing. It was a great deal.
I had to shout to have the others in the table to hear me out as the place was too loud.
I had the trout that was spectacular. Very big serving and it tasted really good.
Palace Kitchen was wonderful. The octopus was the tenderest I’ve ever had - melt in your mouth tender, but the real reason I’m writing this review is the fried turkey leg. Such an unusual offering and it was absolutely delicious! Tender and moist, with red eye gravy. Yum!
The food was good, but not great or spectacular. Service was also just good, not above great. Beautiful restaurant, but not impressed with the menu or prices or value of the food.
We had the burger and rotisserie chicken. Both were delicious, although the burger was truly the highlight! Service was impeccable, ambiance was romantic (perfect for a date night or special occasion), and the cocktails were delicious as well. A 20% service charge was automatic, and it was well worth it. The servers were very attentive, allowed us to take our time, and everything was served in a timely manner. I highly recommend Palace Kitchen, as it is a local gem and worth checking out.
Service was spectacular. Hostess was great too. Most dishes were delicious. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
Lovely food, wonderful staff.
We enjoyed a very fun evening celebrating a birthday! The food was exceptional and our waitress very helpful with recommendations on favorite dishes and dessert! We will be back❤️
Our 39th wedding anniversary. Server was great!
Excellent all around!
Fantastic staff, lovely room, great music, but the real reason to dine is for food! Their clam appetizer was dynamite, kale salad delicious , my sisters burger cooked perfectly and their fries are killer (homemade) but a Dijon mayo would have pushed it to beyond amazing. Only reason not a 5 star food rating was the sides to the whole trout were lacking: over mashed potatoes where they become like glue and no seasoning on the wilted Swiss char, but trout yummy with kale salad on the side. Thanks PK
Food was very good, nice table (I like how high the booth backs are.)
Our server was condescending and had a bad attitude. Maybe she was just having a rough day. She asked if my friend wanted another drink and literally shook the empty glass in his face when he didn't hear her.
The food all came out correct, tasted good, good timing, drinks were nice as well. The whipped foie add-on was not good. It tasted old and slightly sour. In short, our server's attitude did not ruin my night, but she certainly did not enhance it in anyway.
We had an amazing evening! Our server made the experience for us... generous with her thoughts about the menu and her smiles! Her demeanor was LOVELY!!! She was warm and funny! Food was delicious. Fondue is incredible and we friend the dumplings at her recommendation - so glad we did!
Our server was awesome. Gave us a free slice of coconut cream pie!
Food continues to top notch. Camembert on waffle inspired and tasted great. Staff accommodated lateness because of police activity in area.
Palace Kitchen serves creative food without being too strange. goat cheese lavender fondou is a good example. Everything I've ever had there is delicious. Great place for a group as there is a wide variety of food on the menu.
Its proximity to Jazz Alley, makes for a less stressful evening, with parking dinner and entertainment, all in the same locale. The wait staff are all friendly and the menu is always unique, with at least something familiar to fall back on, for the less adventurous.
I have been eating at Palace Kitchen for over 20 years. It's my go-to spot after a movie at Cinerama. We were seated at 6.45 pm on Friday at the front of the restaurant by a couple of tables with young children. At one, a grandmother was shaking a rattle so loud that it almost drowned out the screaming 2 year-old. The other table had a crying baby as well as two older girls who were unsupervised by their parents and running around, occasionally bashing my chair. When I complained to the hostess, she fetched a manager who asked the girls to sit at their table. The parents were oblivious. I told the manager that she needed to talk with the parents, not the kids. I am so tired of rude, entitled parents and their unruly children and restaurant staff who won't confront them. Very disappointed with Palace Kitchen for allowing this behavior.
The trout was excellent!
SUCH great food options, amazing service ! always a favorite !
The food was excellent with some inventive taste combinations. Our server was on top of every detail and Johnny on the Spot!
Another enjoyable New Year's Eve at Palace Kitchen.
The waiter (Eric I think) was great. The food phenomenal (expected from a Tom Douglas establishment) and just good fun.
We shared an end-of-year dinner with our amazing grandsons. The setting was festive and elegant; the food was creative and first-rate.
A great place with great food. Get there early to beat some of the noise.
We dined here on a Saturday night for my husbands birthday. We were given a table in a partially glassed in room, there was only one other table seated. My husband had a Caesar salad which was really good. We both ordered the chicken which was brought to our table by a runner from the kitchen. The food was a bit warm but certainly not hot. A real disappointment to both of use. The waitress didn't come by to check on our meal until we both had stopped eating.
She then asked how the food was and I told her that the meal was not hot. Her response was "if you had told me earlier I could have fixed it". A rather uncomfortable conversation continued before she left the table. I felt like a little kid who was in trouble and it was unpleasant. Not what I had expected from a restaurant that we have dined at several times.
Our waitress couldn’t have cared less about our experience, she already had her tip set for her. Makes me not want to patronize Tom Douglas restaurants.
Too noisy to have an easy conversation, but it's obviously a place where people can be raucous with friends and enjoy themselves. Which is great but not what we were looking for.
This was my second time eating here after a board meeting in Seattle. The food is good enough that we didn’t mind the noise, but we did come RIGHT at opening to try to avoid as much as possible. It’s just a loud place. There are no “quiet” tables. It’s frustrating because the food is delicious, but the energy is infectious. We’ll definitely be back!
Perfect spot for our two year wedding anniversary. Amazing food. Fun environment. Stellar service.
Our server was outstanding, the food was uneven. It seems the kitchen has changed.
Visited twice this year. Food always falls flat. Chef de Cuisine needs to learn how to apply acid to his dishes. Great service.
One of my favorite Tom Douglas restaurants. Great hearty food, wonderful environment, great service!
Palace Kitchen never disappoints! We were hungry after a late show and it was still open and as good as I remembered a while back. Service is great and I could eat the ravioli everyday.
Our waitress was THE BEST. love this place. Excellent food and ambiance.
Always love coming to Palace Kitchen. Food awesome, service awesome, ambience excellent... vey hip place!
Great evening. Staff perfect as always. The grilled trout was excellent. Beet starter and Brussels sprouts a good start. The plin tasted great. Nice Malbec and Smith’s tea to finish. Typical evening at the Palace.
