About this restaurant

  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Lively
  • Neighborhood gem
Palace Kitchen offers an open kitchen concept to allow guests to watch the chefs at work. Settle in for dinner at one of the booths or our horseshoe shaped bar with low, intimate lighting and enjoy fresh, seasonal food that is served late into the night. Diners at Palace Kitchen love the whole trout, rotisserie chicken and burger royale that are grilled over the apple wood grill in house.
Palace Kitchen offers late night dining with a full menu until 12:00am.
Our King Boletus Parlor and Chanterelle Rooms offer private dining for groups of up to either 16 guests or up to 20 guests.

Why they're an Icon

From the OpenTable editors: Come to Palace Kitchen for wood-fired Pacific Northwest dishes starring fresh ingredients from owner and James Beard Award-winning chef Tom Douglas’s farm. Start with the goat cheese lavender fondue before moving on to hits like chicken wings and a whole Idaho rainbow trout. Add in creative cocktails and a warm space with a massive Rococo-style bacchanal painting, and it’s easy to see why the restaurant is a Seattle late-night industry darling.

My first bad review ever. Please don’t waste your time here. Food was horrible and overcooked. I should have listened to the Seattle Times about this place.

We were in Seattle for a couple of nights and found Palace Kitchen near our hotel. We enjoyed the drinks and the meal very much. It has late night dining and would be great if you needed a bite after a show.

Soup to nuts, so they say, everything was fabulous. We enjoyed a nicely paced meal tonight and enjoyed the warm atmosphere both in terms of coziness and our lovely server, Juliana. She was absolutely wonderful. We began with cocktails which were a great start, followed by the goat cheese & lavender fondue. Yum-o!!! The crispy sweet apple, crunchy cauliflower & yummy focaccia bread were so fun pairing with the fondue! Main courses were the hangar steak & pork schnitzel. 100% comfort food! We finished up with their famous triple coconut pie & americanos. Everything met our expectations and was a really nice dining experience. Highly recommend.

I think I had the best damn hamburger in Seattle at this restaurant last night. Food service was great; the bar seemed to be really backed up and it took FOREVER for drinks to come--both times we ordered alcohol. We have been fans of the PK and Tom Douglas forever and will continue to be fans!

I’ve been coming to The Palace Kitchen since - forever. This is quintessential Seattle. The food (and drinks) are amazing, the staff charming, and The Palace Kitchen has earned it’s iconic status (and the half chicken is particularly awesome)

My asparagus salad came with an egg sauce. Unfortunately the sauce contained egg shells. They made it right & the evening was fine.

Everything about our experience was great! Food was fantastic. Server was engaging and brought everything with a smile. The only thing that could have been better was the noise level. Sometimes we had to yell to hear each other.

Our servers, Laura and Rose, were great. The menu isn't long but it had plenty of good stuff on it. Cocktails were good (including the non alcoholic ones). It's a noisy place but we've been there a couple times now and had a great time.
