Palace Cafe is a great local farm to table restaurant. All the dishes are prepared with attention to detail and the thought they put into designing and executing their menu is apparent. It's a cozy, intimate setting and the noise level is not overbearing like some other joints. I've always enjoyed everything I've had there and this trip was no exception. The two minor nits I have to pick with them are:
1. Sometimes it's hard to get anyone to physically answer the phone - if you need to discuss anything beyond a simple online reservation.
2. Please work on updating your website more often and highlighting your seasonal menus. There are times when I've wanted to eat at Palace, but the menu online remains the same so I've chosen to go elsewhere. This trip was the same. The menu at the restaurant was different (both item and price-wise) than what is posted on your website.
We had 6:15 reservations and one of the entrees was already unavailable, really? My kale and cherry salad had exactly ONE cherry in it. A little annoying.
It was okay. They were busy at 6:30 so service was slow
Had a 12:30 reservation, my wife and I got up and left at 1:15 after not being addressed or even checked on
The service was warm abs personable and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Palace Cafe
A tad noisy. Good waiter. Good food. A tad disappointed with a 6:00 reservation. The hostess needed to set the table before us. Almost no one in restaurant at the time. Would have liked to have been prepared and ready.
My wife and I
Was disappointed. We have dined at Palace many times and this time was very unimpressed. Not up to the standards that we are used to.
Innovative menu; interactive waiter, timely and exceptional food preparation and presentation; great drinks... Overall, a great Easter brunch with family.
Great brunch menu with tasty selections. Service is very good and staff is friendly.
The food was amazing!
The Palace is our go to place for consistently great food. Menu changes seasonally and Chef always has great daily selections.
They were actually closed for remodeling. They quickly noticed the reservation and called to inform us they were closed. We really like this restaurant and go there often. Food and service are always terrific.
I've been to this place a couple times and I've never had a bad experience. Both the service and the food are superb.
I made the mistake of taking my significant other there for the first time.
It was so extremely loud at 11:30am that we had to text each other if we needed to hear each other. I don't have hearing problems and I couldn't even hear the waiter when I tried to order. The couples on either side of us were so loud as their voices bounced off the walls and the overall noise level were absolutely drowning. The acoustics are horrible in this restaurant, which is unfortunate.
The menu has changed and is not up to date.
Crepes were on the open table menu and that is the reason we went and we found out at the table they are not offered anymore. As a substitute, he ordered a burger medium well, it came out medium rate if not rare. His burger was a bit bloody.
I was a bit embarrassed by my choice of dining today. I have previously had a great experience here. Fingers crossed, our next experience will be successful. I do not give up easy. We will return.
Sat in the bar for dinner and drinks. Will do that again.
Most of our meal was fantastic. My eggs with goat cheese, mushrooms and ham were divine. My only complaint was that the toast that arrived with my brunch meal was so dry and hard that it snapped when I broke a piece off. It was not edible. The Reubens the other folks at our table ordered were great and the corned beef was perfect.
Perfect place for brunch. Our family deemed this the best places ever!
Service and food was excellent. Appetizers and desserts are small so do not plan to share. Restaraunt was crowded on a Friday night, but service was great and food was outstanding. Prices are reasonable.
Over all was very good. Only thing I would change.... Be able to order off the dinner menu during lunch. Food was real tasty none the less
Salmon & warm farro salad were delicious. Next time I'll ask for the Brussels sprouts
without the siracha sauce, but did enjoy the carmelization on them. My husband said
the tenderloin pasta dish was good, but he wouldn't order it again.
Very well service and well cooked and tasting food! Had a blast.
Great food great service. I highly recommend Palace Cafe
Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.
Best restaurant in town, by far. This chef knows what he is doing with vegetables and doesn’t shy away from them. Everything is flavorful, in season and local. Love it! The perfect date night place.
I'm a regular at the Palace, last week enjoyed their usual great menu offerings and good service..
One of our Tulsa neighborhood favorite places to take friends and family!
The Palace Cafe is a wonderful dining experience no matter what the occasion. They never disappoint.
My husband asked for white toast and they came out with 3 pieces of a burnt baguette. I ordered a mimosa and black stuff was all in my glass sizzling away. Our waitress rarely checked on us. This was probably the worst service we have had at this establishment.
This is a wonderfully comfortable place with “foodie” quality fare. Great service, too. It’s also perfect for conversation since you can actually hear the people around the table. Love it.
Delicious dinner! The server was especially attentive and made excellent suggestions!!
Brussels sprouts were way too oily and lemony. Killed the taste.
One of my very favorite restaurants! Excellent! Love to have lunch or dinner with friends here, everyone always enjoys the food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommend.
Short Review: Food and service were lazy, unimaginative, and over priced.
Long Review: My girlfriend and I visited from out of town and took a chance on Palace Cafe for a NYE celebration dinner based on positive reviews from local food magazines. The dishes, lobster piled salad, steak tenderloin, gnocchi, all sounded potentially interesting but were executed in a mediocre manner. Imagine cutting into a luke warm beef tenderloin (which tasted like fish?) only to find it lying on a hidden bed of raw, unflavored arugula that had wilted unnecessarily from having a piece of meat thrown on it. A cloyingly sweet demi-glaze drizzled around the plate the only flavor to be found. The same demi-glaze that had been used on all previous dishes.
We had also initially chosen Palace Cafe because their usually dinner service provided some ample vegetarian options that my vegan girlfriend thought were interesting. There were no special vegetarian NYE menu (completely understandable), but they did offer all of their usual vegetarian dinner menu. The few modifications needed to make certain dishes vegan (aka, "leave off the cheese") where graciously handled on a busy NYE eve. However, something pitched as a "kale salad" was the same sad arugula that arrived on my dishes and every dish had zested lemon. Why?
Our booth was in the bar area on the way to and from the kitchen - an area traditionally (and understandably) managed by one over-worked bartender. We were actually excited to have a quite, romantic booth away from the main dining room. However, waiters rushed by without clearing plates and congregated at the nearby bar to constantly complain about the management or other diners. At one point, a waitress counseled the bartender, "pour anything in there, they won't know the difference."
Save your money for some place better.
Palace was incredible. I kept asking my husband why it was only our first time eating there. I cannot wait to come back. The food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!
Great food with a casual, elegant atmosphere for the entire family.
Everything was great except for the breakfast sausage which was rather flavorless.
Always fantastic food and service. Never pass up the chicken roulade!
The Palace was enjoyable and delicious, we will return more often. Interesting, tasty flavors without being so strange you don't want to eat it. Well done.
