Nice hotel restaurant with loads of history. Very good food. Only disappointment was not a large choice of entries or starters. Very excellent service
The service was impeccable and it's a very interesting place, but a bit pricey for a fixed Thanksgiving menu.
I’ve dined here many times and every time the food and service are outstanding. Can’t recommend it enough!
Amazing!!! The service, the food, the vibes. Just absolutely amazing. Shout out to chef Kim :)
Poor service. No wine, asked for before meal, delivered well after food delivered. Completely ignored us. @ $ 110 PP, I expect more. ONE AND DONE
Beautiful environment but the service and food do not add up to the high price. My steak was rare when asked for well done, no drink refills offered, etc. A $300 steak dinner for two should have impeccable service and food.
Service was great, the mushroom bisque soup was delicious, the chef’s choice vegan meal was wonderful. Portions were generous, we didn’t have room for dessert. Some excellent chocolate truffles came to us with the check, and that topped off the meal perfectly.
We were extremely disappointed in the service we received. Had to ask twice for more bread at the beginning of our meal. One person on our group ordered duck and it was so tough he couldn’t cut it with a steak knife. We had to ask a another waiter to send ours over to the table to ask for another entree. When it came time for dessert there were two that ordered ice cream and waited over 10 minutes and never received. Other issues but too much details to go into. Will never go back there to eat!
We arrived at our reservation - then went to a show - after the show i received an email from Open Table telling me that I was reported to have missed my reservation and would be charged $25.00. I responded with my receipt showing that I did not miss the reservation. There were ONLY 3 tables with people in the restaurant -- i was a group of 2, another couple that was a group of 2, and one table of 4 people -- this was NOT an busy night and this is an INCREDIBLY expensive restaurant - and then to be charged $25 for not showing up when we did show up was really annoying. Prior to leaving (not knowing i was being reported for missing my reservation) I asked at the restaurant when I would get my $25 for the reservation on Open Table back, the hostess told me that it would be kept in the "vault" so that I didn't have to pay it in the future and if I wanted it back instead of the "vault", I had to call reservations during the daytime - so she clearly knew I was there and had used Open Table for my reservation. To have to call the following week to get a deposit back is also ridiculous - so I wouldn't go here again.
The service was great, but the food was very average. The Wedge salad was outstanding, the steak was tough and the Chilean sea bass was served Luke warm on a dry crab cake. The dark truffles served with bill were delicious.
We had been concerned that due to the pains of the pandemic The Palace Arms might not be what it once was - not so. The food, ambiance and service were all fantastic. This was a special occasion (my mom's 74th birthday). It was a surprise dinner and she was absolutely delighted from start to finish. The drinks were also superb. Thank you to everyone at the Palace Arms. Fantastic
It's nice to dine in an expensive restaurant where it's actually worth the price.
Superb food, excellent service, wonderful decor, quiet
The food is VERY expensive but the quality of service, food, and ambience is great. Portions are sizable for a high-end restaurant.
Decent experience, but the food and drinks are grossly overpriced. $24 for two scoops of ice cream for dessert is absurd!
First rate food and service.
We had the duck and the sea bass. Both were outstanding! Must finish with a creme brulee as well.
I really wanted to like this place! I read a great article about the new female (first time) chef, and the 48 hour sous vid brisket. Given this and the historic-ness of the Palace, I thought it would be the perfect place for my wife's birthday dinner. We started with the Caviar eggs with bacon jam...can't go wrong with that...and the mushroom tart with pea soup. The tart shell and the mushrooms were super tough, and the pea soup had a weird funkiness to it, maybe like it was made several days before. For the main course, I chose the brisket, and my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass. The Bass was a beautiful piece, served over a king crab cake, which for her, was protein overload, especially since there were no greens or veggies to be found on the plate. According to her, the flavor was good, but such a large portion, so only about half was consumed. I, of course, had the brisket with peach BBQ, which came with collard greens, grits (I have southern roots), fava bean puree (weird choice) and cornbread. The brisket was smothered in sauce, was incredibly tough and tasted like it had been warmed over several times. All three pieces looked like end pieces the kitchen was trying to get rid of. Given where we were dining, I was also extremely let down by the presentation: the grits, collards and bean puree were mixed together into an unattractive, tan baby food consistency with green fleck mess. The cornbread was delicious, but scattered into crumbs on the side. Reminds me a lot of a dish I had at another Denver restaurant that was a big fail. I expected a bed of grits, topped with the greens, and some nice brisket pieces on top. What I got was something you would get from a diner or cafeteria. Needless to say, we were disappointed and didn't stay for dessert. Our server (who was kind enough to comp the brisket, even tho I didn't request it) and the hostess were super nice, the Prosecco was good, and those were the bright spots, sadly, of the entire $150 meal.
There were four of us. Two of us had great meals, but the other two, the meat entree' was overcooked. Disappointing at that price point. And to their credit, the manager took the approprate service recovery actions. Salads and sides were fantastic! Because it's a higher priced establishment and because it happened on 2/4 of our entrees I probably would be reluctant to recommend. If it was less expensive one could perhaps take the risk.
If you are staying at the hotel you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not eat here!
We had an amazing dinner for our honeymoon dinner ! More than exceeded our expectations. Wonderfully romantic atmosphere, excellent service, exquisite food ! Highly recommend.
It was exceptional. It’s always exceptional. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. There just isn’t anything to add.
The food and service are superb. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly.
Food was excellent, but felt under staffed. Had to ask for water and wine list. Should not have to do that at a restaurant of this quality
Amazing! Everything was spectacular especially the historic knowledge of Michael the Caesar salad chef!
Outstanding dinner. Old school in everyway. Enjoy the tableside cesar salad preparation! Wish this kind of experience was available in every city!
I wanted so much for this to be a magical experience for my husbands birthday but it so wasn't. The people were nice but the food was so/so, drinks meh. The wait for the food was like 40 minutes and it was so loud that you couldn't hear your partner at the table. The one thing that was super delightful was the table side salad maker. Her was full of history, jokes and just made the experience for my husband. But that was about it. Oh and the tea pre-dinner in the atrium was nice, as was the cover band.
The Palace Arms is getting its groove back. It was full, and the service and food were both superb on a Saturday night!
Service of waitstaff was very timely and elegant. They are very knowledgeable about each menu item and profiles of the food items and restaurant's history. They make it a point to make the customer feel welcomed. The food was well balanced and and cooked correctly: an absolutely wonderful experience.
Celebrated wife's birthday. Perfect.... Would recommend
Birthday dinner with my girlfriend - the ambiance was excellent, somewhat quiet, delicious cuisine, and amazing service! Nicole and Michael were delights to chat with as well. The brisket and sea bass were absolutely incredible! The pea/mushroom soup was the best I’ve ever had. For dessert we had the creme brûlée and banana mousse… ;)
Food was just not good! The sea bass was still somewhat frozen , definitely not cooked in the center part. They took it off the bill. The panna cotta dessert could only be described as a horrific joke. With so many other options for good food, why go there. The saying we’ve heard is always give a restaurant two tries before judging but this was so bad, we will never go there again!
One of the best place that I have dined
We had one of the best steaks! Wonder restaurant
Awesome. Great food, great wine, great service. What else could you ask for.... champagne. They have that too. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back when ever we are in Denver. The ambiance alone was wonderful.
My partner and I celebrated our 10th anniversary here and it was magical. Super vintage vibes, extremely romantic, and intimate. 10/10 would recommend!
The service was great. The food wasn't very good. Definitely not $100/person good.
