A wonderful restaurant with excellent service and food and a delightful upscale ambiance.
Everything was perfect - exquisite food and amazing service.
Everything was great! The food was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly, always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. We’ll be back!
Food was amazing. Friendly host at the door
First time here - all 4 of us agreed the food was phenomenal. Short ribs were fantastic.
Have been to Pairings many times and we are never disappointed! Great food, great service!
We had a wonderful evening and everything was amazing.
Elegant from the minute you walk in. What a lovely meal and overall experience we had for my husband's 62nd Birthday Dinner. They made a special menu (with his name on it) in honor of the day, and the Wait-Staff were so warm and welcoming, knowledgable, and quick to accommodate anything we needed. Great environment - elegant, but not stuffy.
Food highlights were the seared tuna entree, and the pork belly / grilled octopus and chorizo combo with potatoes. Dessert was also wonderful - some combination of mandarine mousse with dark chocolate. Additionally we asked for a scoop of their homemade (berry?) sorbet that was out of this world in combination with everything.
Looking forward to coming back again soon!
Always a great meal!!
Outstanding meal and service (the most tender pork chop I ever had!!) - lovely decor, too! I look forward to a return visit
Food made out to perfection plus very decent price.
The owners are adorable. The ambience is romantic. The food is good and a good value 9due to BYOB. A little loud and service was a bit slow but I will give it another shot bc of the great service exhibited by the owners.
We are never disappointed when we dine at Pairings. We went to celebrate a combination Valentine's Day and anniversary. If they know ahead of time what you are celebrating they print a special menu for you with the occasion listed at the top. The food here is always perfect and the service is impeccable.
Pairings continues to impress with an outstanding dining experience, from the quality and preparation of the food, to the attention to details and excellent service.
Although pricy it was worth every penny. I took my girlfriend there for Valentines day and she loved it. The food was spectacular and the waiters are always circulating to see if you need anything. I'll probably be coming back every Valentines Day because I know i'll be getting a bang for my buck.
Our Valentines Day Dinner was wonderful. We had a great meal. The service and ambiance were perfect for this romantic date.
We will definitely go back soon.
Valentine’s Day was a treat. We enjoyed everything.
The Valentine's Day menu was excellent. Great selections and the food was perfectly prepared in spite of the restaurant being very busy. Love this place.
Everything was delicious...our server Sarah was great!
This was our first time here. It most definitely will not be the last.
We went because I was on a top 25 list from open table. I can see why. Farm to table in an upscale setting. IT's BYOB, which is always nice.
Food was very good but too expensive. Comparable restaurants are lower in price for the entrees served. Our server was very attentive.
I have been before. Place is very good. Its BYOB so the prices are high to compensate. If you drink a lot its worth the higher base. Everyone was happy with their food. It is a great place for small groups.
Been here several times over the years. First time back in a year. The food is just sooo good. Server and support team were friendly and efficient. One pet peeve I've had was that their beautiful wood chairs were uncomfortable for a 2 hour meal. Well, they upholstered all the chair seats, and they are now super-comfy. Looking forward to my next meal.
Wonderful evening. Table, service and food was outstanding
excellent food. courteous, continuous service. expensive but worth it.
Appetizers were fabulous (tuna tartare and coconut shrimp) but the Short Rib was underwhelming and disappointing for the price. It tasted like it was cooked at home in a crock pot. I would not recommend this dish.
The server was exceptional. Nothing was too much. Very friendly and personable and helpful. The food was delicious....fresh, good, healthy. The ingredients were lovely.
We have been going to Pairings since they opened and have long been customers and friends of Carol Murphy and Vin Clyne since Clyne and Murphy was open in Westfield. They are true restauranteurs and wonderful people! Their love of food, wine (although this is a BYO which we love) and friendships is felt throughout Pairings and their staff share their enthusiasm. There is a lot of love that goes into a great restaurant and Pairings gives you the dining experience that you go out to dinner to get...
Consistently great food and service.
Excellent all the way around. Tough to find a place like this that truly loves providing excellence.
Love this restaurant! I have never had a bad or even average meal. The menu is seasonal so the ingredients are fresh. Always made to feel we are the most important diners in the place. Perfect place to meet friends as it is located 5 minutes off the parkway.
Always a wonderful dining experience. Lovely ambiance and staff is polished and professional. Love the starter biscuits ! Crab cake appetizer and snapper entree were perfectly prepared. Perfect date night!
We happened to go on a Wednesday night which features a '$40' four-course prix fixe dinner menu. The menu online looked amazing. Unfortunately for us it was not the same at the restaurant. The amuse bouche was an odd 'shot' of bourbon, prosecco, juice and tasted a bit medicinal. The first course options were both rich and heavy in flavor. For the pasta course, unless you wanted cheese ravioli in a not-so-italian restaurant, there was a supplemental charge. The lobster and black pepper fettucine was a small mound of pasta with a small piece of lobster on top. It lacked sauce. and pepper. The entrees appeared to be good choices but again the best choices had a supplemental charge which we opted for. The short ribs tasted like pot roast and the fish was dry. The chicken, on the other hand, looked awesome and evidently tasted great. Desserts were not appealing but the chef put one together for us that was the highlight of the dinner.
Based on this experience, i would not return but others in my party said that the full menu is much better and we will likely give it another try.
My husband and I have been dining at Pairings for close to five years. Each experience has been categorically exceptional. The entrees, ambiance and overall comfort of Pairings exceeds any restaurant in Manhattan or elsewhere. You are immediately met with a sense of warmth and grace. The entrees are prepared with a delicateness that speaks to the atmosphere that Carol and Vincent create; clearly in collaboration with their culinary family. My palate looks forward to each new taste I experience with each delicious meal. Dining at Pairings is always special. Their site depicts an atmosphere where you will relax, sip, rekindle and dine. Pairings is truly a full-bodied, delicious, beautiful delight.
Pairings is always a great dining experience. The service and food are outstanding!!
We attended their New Years dinner. The whole restaurant was set up with extra tables squeezed in to awkward areas and, with most of the restaurant empty, they sat us at the worst tables. When my husband requested to sit anywhere else, they made it very clear to him he was inconveniencing the
I called three days in advance to specify my husband’s allergies - when I originally booked the menu was not prix fixed (at least it wasn’t made known to me) and when I received their email that it was, I called to see if they could accommodate us. They spoke with the chef and she said it would be fine.
My husband is allergic to dairy, gluten and a few other specifics. I can’t drink alcohol, this was made clear. The amuse Bouche was half champagne mixed in, I had to spit it out and reminded the waiter I can’t consume that. My husband’s first dish was sprinkled with cheese. The head chef came out to apologize, and while she was there, since his meal was being redone and the food had already taken forever, he asked for something instead of the bread and butter that I was chowing down on. She said she had nothing. He asked for even raw vegetables. She said no. He pointed to the menu and said there’s clearly raw vegetables hanging around, she said she would check. I called her back when my steak was completely raw inside. I ordered it medium. She said that’s how she does it. She had attitude now. When my husband asked her where the vegetables were she raised her voice and said she tried and found nothing except crackers but realized he can’t eat them, in a snide voice. If he could eat them, we wouldn’t be in this conversation. I was later served a between course gelato. Yeah, it was loaded with alcohol. I made it clear to the server he can’t keep serving me food with alcohol and not telling me. My steak then returned. They made it “well done”. It was horrible, I could barely eat it.
Just very clear they do not take allergies seriously. And the attitude was the worst part.
Always a wonderful evening! Food is innovative and the menu is always changing. Ambience SBS service are top-notch!
Food was great! Service was impeccable! Will definitely be back again.
Yet another fantastic meal and experience at Pairings!
Pairings is my go to restaurant for an excellent dinner. It is nice without being stuffy. The food is fresh and prepared well. The menu varies with the season. It is BYOB which helps keep the price down. Highly recommend this restaurant.
