Pairings Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The food was fabulous! However, I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for my fiancé’s birthday. They tried to stick us in a tiny table between two other tables. Definitely not a cozy place for quiet conversation. I was very disappointed in the atmosphere. It’s pricey but the pairing experience is fun and different. The food was absolutely deliscious.
Food was probably the BEST i've had there over the past year . Portions were larger than i remember which is good since you are paying for good food. EXCELLENT tasting food this visit. Service was good but we were never asked for drink refills after we were seated (luckily we had visited the bar beforehand). I may suggest you offer a few more options for celebrating special occasions .
We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and it was the perfect place. Menu was imaginative, food was delicious and I appreciated the selection of Belgian beers. multi-course meal pricing ok for our special occasion. We will return and enjoy a small plate or some mussels with a beer or wine. Surprisingly nice place tucked in a strip shopping center.
Consistently great food and service. Erin P. Was our server and she was fantastic. She was so pleasant and attentive. The Belgian mussels with truffle fries were spot on as usual. The flourless chocolate cake was rich and flavorful. Reasonably priced wines by the glass selection punctuated another great dinner service.
We dined here for our one year anniversary. The food was delicious! The service wasn’t all that great. When we sat down, we only had one menu. Our server took longer than usual to greet us. He said that he would bring us another menu, but by the time we received it, my husband and I already made our decisions about dinner. Our waiter did comp my husband’s 2 beers, so that was appreciated! We would recommend to our family and friends.
* Thumbs up to the friendly staff, excellent cocktails, good food quality and excellent mussels.
* Disappointed that the tile fish, though fresh and apparently cooked properly, lacked flavor and volume. Poor value. Cream sauce was excellent, though! The chocolate torte was served cold and was over cooked. Ran out of whipped cream for both the dessert and the Nutty Irishman. The candles at the tables were not lighted.
I usually love it here. Not this time. The rooster pot pie with root vegetables was not cooked through. The broth was watery and the vegetables were hard and it was mostly dark meat. The thin crust was very good. It was only $15.00 though. The cream of crab was good as usual but the crab lump served with it was much smaller than usual. The last 2 times the air conditioning was blowing and it was cold. The waitress said it wasn't cold. I'll go back because pairings has been one of my favorite restaurants. I hope it's not going down hill.
My friend and I go to dinner once a month and had never been to pairings. I suggested we try some place new......the restaurant is very welcoming and cozy. The staff and service was excellent. The menu very limited. I had the ribeye steak it came with sweet potato casserole which was thin slices of potsto thst was crunch with a slice of cheese .The steak was very flavorable but tough. My friend had chicken madiera . With risotto and mushrooms . Which the risotto was excellent. However, the chicken was undercooked and bloody when we cut into it. We share our food portions so we can have a variety. The piece she put on my plate was cooked on the end but not in the middle at first I thought it was the color from the wine sauce ...I bit into the breast and knew immediately it was undercooked. My friend said the same thing. The waiter applogized and agreed it wasnt cooked .it was then returned. The same piece was just thrown back on the grill and returned to us.which I feel should have been discarded for health reasons and it also dried the meat out. A manager or the chef never vame to check on us or apologize.I decided just to eat the steak.
We had coffe and desert. Which the bread pudding was excellent.. the meal was expensive and portion sizes small. The server Anthony attentive and professional. Just a disappointing experience.
Pairings is a spectacular gem, tucked away in a strip mall/business center, but to walk into it is to be transported into a beautifully decorated setting for exquisite food. Both Indio r and outdoor dining, a lovely bar, extraordinary wine selections, gracious, unobtrusive and helpful servers. I can’t say enough about what a fine dining experience Pairings is!
This was our second visit and we absolutely love Pairings! Great food, nice atmosphere and the staff is warm and inviting! We had the same server both times, Michelle and she is fabulous!! It was our friend Brian's birthday and everyone was amazing ! we will be back!!
This was our first time eating hear. We had so many friends recommend Pairings and they were spot on! We did a 3 course meal and every dish was delicious. I had the flash grilled romaine Caesar... yum
The Shrimp and grits was one of the best I've had. And the desert.. so yummy. We got the ice cream which comes from a local farm. It was so fresh.
Plus pairing a drink with each dish is such a great idea.
We went for a date night, sat outside and listened to the live music. Waitress was attentive but gave us our space too. Can't wait to go back!
Pairings was good as usual. The pork chip was excellent with the barley risotto. The chicken was delicious with the risotto. The cream of crab was not up to their usual standards, maybe more crab meat than usual but just not great. The beet salad was very good and came split as our waitress knew we were sharing.
Visited for Restaurant Week and it was a bargain! Service was slow (big crowds Sat night) but congenial. Waited long time for drinks & to order. Generous entree portions were hot (mussels) but our appetizer salads didn't come until after the entree. We had to tell 3 people this before a chef brought them with ample apologies (also took our drinks off the check). So we dined in the European fashion. The grilled Ceasar salad was worth the wait: lightly grilled & dressed to perfection! The lemon tart dessert was good. Everyone gets a pass so we'll be back to order from the regular menu. Note: the solo guitar was pretty good but over-amplified for such a small space with so many hard surfaces (brick walls, columns & patio floor).
