Service was excellent. The food was good. My husband said the steak was good but nothing he would order again. I had the shrimp and grits - tasty but nothing special. We did enjoy the tuna app. The cherry chocolate chip ice cream was excellent.
I definitely would go back again.
Katie our server did an excellent job. Knowledgeable and a great personality with the customers. I definitely recommend the crab soup. I had two huge chunks of crab meat and a little splash of cherry with a loaf of warm toasted bread. It was absolutely superb. I also recommend the golden beet salad that I had, it was delicious.
A little chilly on the deck but still preferred being outside.
Serving sizes are a little small for the price. Food is still really good. Staff is extremely pleasant. Restaurant is very clean.
We've been going to pairings for years and have never been disappointed! Everyone there has always been so nice and welcoming. 5 star service always!
We had the best dinner on Friday night! Everything was so delicious and our server was so accommodating. Love the music on the patio also. It was just overall such an enjoyable dinner!
Food, atmosphere and staff were great. The best part of the night was watching the amazing bass player! Wednesday night open mic was enjoyable
We enjoyed a very comfortable and COVID-safe environment as we had requested outdoor dining. Our waitress was prompt and attentive; food was served quickly and at the perfect temperature; used dishes were removed swiftly. I look forward to me return to try the shrimp and grits! And wine of course!
Wonderful spring menu! Cream of crab soup came with an extra lump of crab meat on the spoon. Our waitress was warm and friendly. We enjoyed the entire meal. The background music was a tad loud especially since there were very few people dining when we were there. We’ll be back for sure!
The staff is always super friendly, and personable. All of their food is locally sourced, and cooked to perfection. In all of my visits, I’ve never had one complaint about Pairings.
The most overpriced and subpar brunch I have ever had unfortunately. I will not return.
Wonderful food; terrific service; superb brunch
Thank you so much
Pairings is always amazing. Our waiter Eric is wonderful and always on point. I can't say enough about the amazing food and service.
Great prix fix w wine pairings!
We were so happy with our service and our food. AWESOME and thank you.
This restaurant is always a good choice when I working in Maryland. The food is of the highest quality, and the presentation is imaginative without being gimmicky.
Wonderful dining experience all around!
Always #1 in both service and food!
I regularly bring friends who have never been here before and they are always very pleased!
They have Covid protocols down solid. Our go to place during the pandemic. The food was great as always (get the arancini) and the service was fantastic.
One of my favorite restaurants. Every time I go to Pairings, it is always an enjoyable experience.
Always love sitting on your porch and our service from Brady.
I think our server may have had too much to handle. The meal took far longer than it should have.
Great food of course. Michelle is a top notch server who spent a lot of time with us and made us feel very welcome. And Shannon with her amazing cocktails really made us feel special by making us off-menu drinks.
We had good service. I was disappointed as I'd asked to be seated in the barrel room; instead got a table right next to the noisy bar.
Food: Cream of crab soup: A+ PERFECTION. I've never had better. Plenty of crab, cherry, dipping banquette. Bourride: B+ Wonderful fish and broth but the little potatoes were rock hard. Our waiter wasn't to be seen at that point, so I couldn't say "al dente extreme?" Husband had Sushi Grade salmon and vegetable and also left most of his hard veggies, although he raved about the fish. Desserts: Creme Brulee--A; and cheesecake A- (the piece was huge and good). We've always loved Pairings and this was our first restaurant in one year!
Perfect birthday celebration ... They do a super job with social distancing and making you feel very safe. The food is delish as is the WINE!
It was great. We have to wait 15-20 mins to sit but was worth
Everything was excellent and delicious. Our only criticism is that the charcuterie was a little underwhelming for the price.
Fine dining in an odd spot. Adding the wine pairs was definitely worth it.
Terrific food with a wonderful pairing menu and they are very flexible. Since we did not want some of the wines paired they substituted others that we liked. Great place!
80th Birthday
Pairings never fails to impress. Our server Bradley was warm , attentive and personable. With so many great choices we decided to stick with our favorite, the Lobster Mac n Cheese. It is rich and decadent. Our Flash Grilled Cesar Salad was a fresh twist on an old classic. It was a tough choice but I went with the seared Scllops and my girlfriend had the Bistro steak that was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor. I failed to mention the Scallops were delicious. For dessert we both ordered the Cheesecake because it's our favorite. The Cheesecake was a little off, it think it was the constancy. What a wonderful meal to celebrate my girlfriend's 50th birthday. We'll be back in short order.
I’d like to tell you that this restaurant was horrible, just to keep it a secret in Hartford County. But , the food, service and dining experience are always amazing.
Food, wine and cocktails were outstanding!
Food was outstanding as well as our service. Eric is a top notch waiter!
It had been a while since we ate at Pairings - food was excellent, set-up and atmosphere made us comfortable in COVID times. We'll be back.
Eric is great.
Love Pairings! Food and service is always excellent.
It wasnt bad just different. It is a nice place for a quiet and romantic dinner. The dishes we had we good but not what we had hoped.
Great food matched with great service. Atmosphere was quiet and really comfortable. My wife and I had a great time.
We continue to enjoy dining on the patio with heat lamps during the CoVID pandemic. It’s very comfortable, plenty warm, and cozy. Our server, Michelle, was, and always is, wonderful. Food was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the Valentine’s salmon special.
