Painters' Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food was amazing! We were seated quickly. Service was slow and our waiter barely checked on us. But the food! Awemaze Ballz! They had a band there that night (Mean Machine). Awesome band! The DJ played good music in between sets. Danced the night away. Great night!
Food excellent as always. Desert the best service was slow at first. Got seated and waited a while to be approached for drinks and appetizers. Bus people and kitchen expiditers hanging around and fooling around in front of kitchen. Unprofessional. Otherwise an excellent choice for dining out
I took my wife in for an early dinner and date night. We started at the bar and worked our way to the table. Beer selection was impressive. Service was good and unobtrusive...timing was great. Prime rib was a bit salty but overall good. Tuna was cooked perfectly and accompanied with well paired sides.. sauce was a bit overpowering. Would definitely recommend and will be back to try some other items.
We were seated in a booth right next to a refrigerator, across from the kitchen and bussing area. I was almost hit in the head by a waiter lifting four glass jugs of water over my head, in order to get to the refrigerator. After we moved to a different table, I sat on a little chair that was the equivilant of cheap lawn furniture. The overall atmosphere was casual and noisy.
Our server was very nice, but our food was not hot when it came out. Cream of tomato soup with a skin on top was not very appealing to me.
My friend ordered a steak sandwich, which was tasty, but the bottom of the bun was completely charrded, black and rock hard. I ordered from the restaurant week, three course, price fixed menu. The desert did not look appetizing whatsoever, so I didn't even taste it. I would rate the food as mediocre at best. I don't think I would go back, unless it was just for a drink at the bar
We had an infant and it was very loud but even if the infant wasn’t there it was loud. Server was great food so so. Coconut shrimp no taste baked clams no taste calamari was good Chilean Sea bass so so lobster mashed potatoes and corn excellent. Dessert very good
Painters had become our go to place for dinner but will not be on a Friday or Saturday night when there is live music. The dining room was way too loud for conversation and we had to wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation time for our table. The 2 young hostesses seemed more concerned with talking amongst themselves than with paying attention to running the dining room. Maybe we'll go again for Sunday brunch or early dinner but never again on a Friday or Saturday night.
We come here quite often. What happened! No organization, pipes leaking water on tables, a hostess that is so inept how can she be charged with that responsibility, people waiting to be seated completely occupying the entrance rather than being asked to wait by the bar until seated. We arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation, almost impossible to get to hostess to check in and when I managed to do so her response was we will just have too wait. She finally managed to address us 15 minutes after our reservation time. Our reservation request for a specific area or the restaurant was not honored. Also the customers waiting for tables without reservations had become so agitated with the situation they would harass the customers with reservations including us when attempting to be seated. Not going back anytime soon if ever.
Food was great service was great. Only little thing I can complain about is the pricing on some items should be a little cheaper Example porterhouse was $46 people stayed away because of the price.. I had the porterhouse it was great. I think if it was $38 more people would have gone for it.. but overall I say 4 &1/2 stars out of 5.
This is a fun place to go out to. Lively atmosphere and funky decor. I picked Painter's on a whim. It was a little on the noisy side and very busy the Saturday night I was there. The food took a while to come out but was prepared well and was very tasty. Portions were quite large, larger than they needed to be but that seems to be a theme these days at restaurants in this price-range. I could definitely see myself visiting Painters again.
Great food in an Urban Atmosphere !
Love the sangrias both red and white. Good beer selection and you can order flights!!
We enjoyed the calamari and anchors for apps. Fried chicken was delish as well as the mango avocado salad.
Great burgers too!
