Incredible food, steak was delicious and loved the Mac & Cheese! Service was world class! Would definitely eat here again!
Service was wonderful. Food was great, best French onion soup I ever had and great presentation.
Dinner and service were great. We were told our Open Table reservation was cancelled when it was not. Otherwise a great evening.
We were seated at a table in a quiet cozy corner by the window. It was perfect. Our server, Carina, was fantastic and knowledgeable about their gluten free options. The food was excellent!
Dominick, our server, was excellent! The food was delicious! Great decor and ambiance.
This is always a favorite spot when we are in town.
Always our go to restaurant while we are in St George!
Very accommodating! Food is excellent! Service impeccable! Venue is perfect!
We really enjoyed our meal here! We had the French onion soup which was served creatively in a large onion! It was good - a little too beefy tasting but good nevertheless - cheese was delicious! My husband had the smoked quail - he loved it. I had the ravioli - was also delicious! My husband ordered the ribeye and he said it was excellent. We had a great wine from Portugal to go with. Our only negative experience was that the waiter spilled our wine and only replaced it with an extra glass. I think we came out on the negative end of that but regardless - it would have been classier for him to have just replaced the bottle... Overall - a great evening! They gave my husband a lovely dessert to celebrate his birthday too! We'd highly recommend - great food!
Had a wonderful experience dining in your restaurant. Service, food and ambience was great.
Having access to a restaurant like this in St. George is a godsend! Happy to escape the overload of chains.
The side dishes were every good. The main courses were tough and dry. I would not go back for the quality of food for that price. The ambience was very nice but wish a the food tasted better. Also the presentation of the food was very prettt.
Always a solid choice/ Very good food and great service.
This restaurant was a great find. It was hard to get a reservation, but if you can get one, you will enjoy it. Our party of 3 tried the hanger steak, ribeye steak and seared ahi tuna. All were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. For appetizers, we did the bacon-wrapped dates and coconut shrimp. The dates were my favorite by far. We found reasonable and tasty selections on the wine list for our meal, too. Service was outstanding. Brice was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you are in St. George.
We have eaten here twice for birthday dinner this winter. The food is served nicely, and the onion soup in it's own onion skin is amazing! The other appetizers and main courses I have eaten all had a flavor of bacon that I did not appreciate. It was not exactly inappropriate, but overwhelmed the more delicate flavors of my dinner choices. Next time I will ask for no bacon added to anything I order.
We came to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We were so pleased with the quality of the food and our service was impeccable. Our server overheard that it was a birthday and arrived after dinner with a lovely dessert with a candle! We definitely felt like we received first class service! Thanks so much Painted Pony ... will visit again on my next trip to St. George!
Very good in all aspects. Excellent food and great atmosphere.
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at the Painted Pony. Our server, Carina, provided excellent information about food choices from the evening's tasting menu and was kind and attentive throughout. We had the halibut from the tasting menu, the petite fillet, house salad and excellent wines from the restaurant's cellar. The entire staff were welcoming and friendly. Our experience was absolutely perfect - just what we have come to expect from this fine restaurant!
My experience with the pain upon it was incredible. The Painted Pony was very busy but that didn’t seem to make a difference on the kind of service and the quality of the food. The ambiance was excellent and the overall experience would definitetly make me want to return. It is one of my most favorite restaurants to have a very special occasion dinner with my sweetheart. We loved it!
We had heard from a friend that the Painted Pony was the palace to go for a fine dining experience. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfect! We will be back.
Very good service, ambience and as always food was excellent in presentation, taste, timeliness and temperature. One of our favorite restaurants. Thanks.
Great service! Excellent food! Highly recommended! Perfect way to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday!
Very disconnected. Some courses arrived as expected others very slow. Had the French onion soup and it was all about the gimmick and not the food. Very bland and the cooked onions still firm. Seems to have lost a step
Received excellent service; however, both entries arrived at the table barely warm. This is not acceptable, especially at their prices. Went there on someone else's recommendation.
Best in St. George!! This is just a great restaurant that never disappoints at serving a fantastic meal with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We recommend the Ahi over the noodles (really good they way they serve this) and the jalapeno carrot soup. Also recommend the Beet salad!
Always a nice night out
Another delicious dinner at Painted Pony. Never been disappointed by the meal or the service or the quiet atmosphere. My favorite place in St. George
Can't say enough about this beautiful restaurant and eating experience. The ambiance is quiet and comforting. The service, impeccable. The food, exquisite! We are looking forward to next year.
Wonderful food! Best in St George and a great venue for lunch or a date night. The pork chop was moist and cooked to perfection as always. We have a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounds delicious. Our favorite is their signature key lime pie with a smooth after taste! We look forward to the Painted Pony whenever we visit Dixie.
A truly wonderful evening. Waiter Nathan was pleasant and knowledgeable. Party of 4 and everyone was convinced their meal was the best. The duck and pork were both amazing and the mussels appetizer also was amazing down to the last bread soaked up drop!
Painted Pony is always wonderful!!! Yummy food, excellent service, relatively quiet atmosphere (just depends on day, time, and clientele). Not too many decent restaurants in the St George area, so we REALLY appreciate the consistency of Painted Pony!
Six of us went for an impromptu dinner. Everyone had a different entrée:' rack of lamb, seared ahi, ribeye, etc. The food was great as was the service. Never going to be inexpensive but has been without fault in serving delicious food every time we've been there.
We enjoyed a birthday dinner at the Painted Pony while visiting St. George. The service was very good....our water glasses were kept full in pewter mugs and nice attention to detail in the plating of our meals. My fiance had the rib-eye steak and enjoyed it immensely along with the delicious brussel sprouts and blue cheese fritters. I had the evenings special monk-fish which was good....not great and for $38 seemed a bit overpriced. We were grateful for the $10 corkage fee and the lovely complimentary birthday dessert. The ambiance is romantically quiet in a art filled space overlooking the courtyard.
Beef cuts were excellent. Sides on the entrees were just ok. Service was A+. Will definitely return.
The food and service was amazing. Best steak I have had in a long time. The chef is really the best in Saint George. Price is high but worth it in my opinion. No loud music very peaceful. Give it a try and you will return.
Great experience from start to finish. Our server was amazing and attentive but not pushy. Had great recommendations and my wife and I weren’t disappointed.
A chef friend who owns 3 of his own restaurants recommended Painted Pony for our St. George vacation. Making a reservation was easy. We were seated by a window with a lovely view. We ordered the bacon-wrapped dates for an app. We had the tenderloin sandwich and the beef brisket sandwich with house salads. Everything was as it should be, served at the proper temperature. The service was slightly inattentive at times, which wasn't too bothersome until our server brought out the totally wrong dessert. We ordered the white chocolate sweet potato ginger something and he brought the white chocolate tower. It wasn't worth correcting him. The frozen lemon souffle was also delicious. All in all, a divine meal, which is on point with our expectations for the price.
Great lunch place, prices can't be beat, ambiance is great and the staff is terrific, great menu selections and they take reservations.
First time ordering chicken and it was too dry for me but I was hungry and ate it all.
We enjoyed an wonderful dining experience, and highly recommend The Painted Pony. The staff are exceptional. Our selections included the almond stuffed dates, ribeye with Stilton fritters, and the ooey-gooey chocolate cake. So delicious and expertly prepared! Also the Pony's pinot noir was lovely.
Order one pasta dish and it was undercooked. We let the server know and ordered two other dishes. The steak was really really good but the chicken was just ok. The side dish to the chicken was not to my liking either. We were there for our anniversary and unfortunately paid over 100 dollars for one great dish. Not sure if the special occasion selection gets passed on but there was no mention of it.
