The Pagoda floating restaurant offers private dining for intimate gatherings and banquet rooms for large parties accommodating up to 400.
You cannot go wrong for $40.00 per adult. The variety of dishes and how good and fresh the food is what makes this place the icon it is. It has been too long since we have eaten there. We will be going back there more often. The service was really friendly local style.
I was very disappointed with the menu. We chose this restaurant because of it's close location to the guest's hotel. I would not recommend this place again. What happened to the old menu? We would have fared better going to Zippy's!! I'm sorry but it was a real disappointment. It used to be my favorite place to take people.
Pre-Mother's Day celebration, the snow crab was fresh and well cooked, excellent prime rib, the dessert pies were good but missed having more fruits, the only fruits available were pineapple, green melon and cantaloupe. The shrimp tempura was okay, clams were good, didn't try the clam chowder. It was noisy and busy, we needed to wave the waitress down several times but that wasn't a problem.
Great ambiance with new tables and chairs. Food was great with better food presentation especially the dessert table. Service always great thanks to Van who took good care of our whole party. Mahalo ! We'll be back !!
Great place for no frills buffet breakfast. Food is good and plentiful. Price is right. Best part is having the grandkids feed the fish after breakfast. Has been our special breakfast spot for years. Will continue to go on special occasions.
Celebrated a get together with good friends on a saturday night.everybody enjoyed the buffet.especially when we all got senior discount.
The service was great, however the food leaves a lot to be desired. If you know you're going for average buffet food, you'll enjoy the experience. I'm certain my group of 5 could have eaten much better at a traditional restaurant for the $250 we paid.
We had out of town guests and wanted them to see the koi. They were enchanted with them. We were very pleased with the selection of food at the buffet and the price was reasonable.
The restaurant was not very busy and like to know why we had the available times of 5pm, 5:30pm, 7pm and 7:30pm. when the restaurant was practically empty. We would have liked to have a 6pm or 6:30pm reservation which was not available. The service was very good and our waiter was attentive and courteous.
The Koi Fish are amazing, the grounds and walk area around the Restraunt are great, but I expected a bit more of an up scale Restraunt. The crowd appeared to be local and that says a lot. The options on the buffet were plentiful.. deserts are great.. the inside ambiance was a bit mor family casual than what I exspected..
Great selection of good food with great service and an amazing atmosphere. Be sure to make time for enjoying the grounds. Is a great place to go casual with the family or for a nice romantic date. Definitely a must here on O’ahu.
Enjoyed casual buffet lunch while visiting Honolulu on vacation. Meal was reasonably priced and offered variety of items that were tasty and well prepared. We have good memories from celebrating special occasions here previously, and will look forward to future meals here. Restaurant parking lot listed price as $1 for first 2 hour time period, but ticket that printed out from the machine after we paid $1, only authorized 1 hour for us--recommend that machine be checked to determine if it needs to be fixed.
Pagoda always a family favorite! Our waitress was Excellent always very attentive. The price for a Sunday brunch well worth it.
The food quality and service have markedly improved over the last few years. Everything was delicious.
Very generous prime rib and crab portions. . Felt wasteful not eating all we were served.
We had family from the mainland visiting for our Mom's 1 year celebration of life and had a bon voyage dinner before they flew back. It was a nice gathering of family and we all had a good time that they let us stay until the end because we had the last seating. We had only 1 waiter for 20 people but he did his very best. Hats off to him.
The best thing of my entire night was the glass of water. The ticket was 100 for 2 buffet meals, 1 beer, 1 mixes drink & a sake flight. I ate NOTHING. Smelled of the beautiful koi fish that surrounded the restaurant. It is beautiful to walk the property and feed the fish.. We paid extra for a private tea room and being alone was nice. Would not recommend the food.
Fantastic!!!! Fun and takes you away from everyday life!
The Pagoda Restaurant Buffet has always been a good local "Island Style" buffet for many years, even decades. But my visit on 4/9/2018 was amazing! The service was great and food excellent. All in the restaurant "floating" in an authentic Koi fish waterfall garden. Tender Prime Rib Roast Beef, Steamed Snow Crab Legs, and Shoyu Ahi Poke were my favorites of the huge number of dishes available in the "All You Can Eat" buffet. This visit reminded me of how wonderful Pagoda Restaurant was 30 years ago. Even if you have been here in last 5 to 10 years, you must try them again soon. Pagoda is back!
Food was really bad. Seemed like it was sitting for a long time under the heat lamps. Dried out chicken and fish. Fried rice was hard, like eating gravel. Do not recommend at all.
Anniversary and birthday
Service was excellent! From booking, to changing our time, to service in the restaurant!
The food quality has gone down since the last time we went back a few years ago. I thought by now they would up their menus and the restaurant but looks the same, all the same. Carpet was smelly and looks filthy. Food could be better but service was excellent!
The food was on point and the service was excellent
We had the Sunday Brunch Buffett. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
We had 4 people (Hawaiian couple with a son and grandson) visiting from HIlo and we wanted to let them have an ono buffet brunch before leaving at 3 pm to return home. They were so satisfied with all the choices and loved the prime rib (which was not dry and bland), crab legs, shrimp tempura and bread pudding! My boyfriend and I have dined there before and as usual, we are pleased with all the tasty entrees and love the desserts! My 9 yr. old granddaughter loved feeding the koi and my boyfriend and his friend noticed how big the ulua was!
Buffet was delicious. Nice local place with mainly Kamaaina customers. Roland was our server and a Japanese older male seemed to be the manager. He too was very nice and helpful. We love the crab, seafood and desserts. Will be there again!
Food was ok. I was expecting more Chinese’s food the. Just fried rice and chow main .. Buffet price was $20.99 and it was probably worth $16.99.
Overall great service, My friend loved the Crab legs but I was allergic to eat them so I could not enjoy.
It's been a while since dining at Pagoda and a lot has changed. We celebrated my son's 25th birthday and was pleasantly surprised that his meal was free (on his birthday)! We did miss the shrimp tempura and other dishes, but we enjoyed how the all you can eat prime rib and crab legs are now brought to the table. We were able to bring our own birthday cake, and they graciously held it and then brought it out plated when we were ready. Our server was awesome and look forward to going back soon!
Had fun celebrating both my dad and older sisters birthdays.
Not worth the Sunday Brunch price. Food was mediocre.
We ate at the buffet, which was very reasonably priced. Service was pretty good in the beginning. Salads and Poke we pretty good, as was some of the deserts. The rest was mediocre. The fish was a little better than the meat dishes. It is a very good value.
If you go on a big holiday, expect service to be slow. We've went on slower night and service was much better.
The food was delicious. Omelette station, crab legs and prime rib. Missed the old soft serve ice cream machine though.
quality of food was poor, server placed his fingers all over the ends of our straws, portions of food ran out & it took 15+ mins to replace, bathroom was a disaster
This review is coming some time after our dinner because I rarely share my thoughts even after an unsatisfactory experience. However, a little over a month later, I am still feeling disappointed! I searched for weeks for somewhere to take the family for my daughter's 17th birthday. Wrong decision for so many reasons. The hostess seemed polite while seating us, but later as the bartender and cashier, you could tell she was overwhelmed and rushed us when we had questions about our $500 bill. The service was mediocre because there were only two severs taking care of an almost full dining area. We had to wait quite a while for drink refills which could have been overlooked if the food was decent. We headed to the food line at about 6 pm and the fish and beef dishes were already empty. The salad and fruit dishes were full and looked the most appetizing in comparison to the rest of the selections that were still available, so we just ate that. Soon the fish and beef dishes were replenished and a mushroom chicken dish came out. A lot of the mushroom chicken was made of small bits and pieces and fat. The beef dish lacked seasoning for taste and the fish was cold although it was just replenished. We moved on to dessert quickly due to the main dish selections, but that was even more disappointing! The chocolate dipped strawberries were available once and when it ran out, it was not replenished, the bread pudding was cold and the cakes/pies lacked taste to meet anyone's sweet tooth. To search from a special place to celebrate an occasion, anticipate flavorful food and melt in your mouth baked goods, and hopes of satisfaction only to be disappointed in more ways than one really makes for a sad night! On a side note, to have a pond full of fish and no fish food at least according to the hostess when we tried to purchase some is disappointing! My family of 15 will not be returning!
A good place to celebrate special occassion. Customer service is commendable. Crew and staff were very friendly and hospitable. Stellar service.
Excellent service great staff ! Very nice local restaurant we have been coming to for years. Love the relaxed environment. The best crab and prime rib. Mahalo Pagoda for a awesome dinner!
After a few months we decided to dine at Pagoda again. The food was delicious and the variety made it hard to choose what to eat. We were fortunate to have Dennis, our waiter, again. This guy is awesome! Our ice tea glasses were never empty, always had a fresh supply of napkins on the table and checked-up on us every few minutes. With excellent food & great service we will definitely be coming to Pagoda regularly.
