We had family from the mainland visiting for our Mom's 1 year celebration of life and had a bon voyage dinner before they flew back. It was a nice gathering of family and we all had a good time that they let us stay until the end because we had the last seating. We had only 1 waiter for 20 people but he did his very best. Hats off to him.

The best thing of my entire night was the glass of water. The ticket was 100 for 2 buffet meals, 1 beer, 1 mixes drink & a sake flight. I ate NOTHING. Smelled of the beautiful koi fish that surrounded the restaurant. It is beautiful to walk the property and feed the fish.. We paid extra for a private tea room and being alone was nice. Would not recommend the food.

The Pagoda Restaurant Buffet has always been a good local "Island Style" buffet for many years, even decades. But my visit on 4/9/2018 was amazing! The service was great and food excellent. All in the restaurant "floating" in an authentic Koi fish waterfall garden. Tender Prime Rib Roast Beef, Steamed Snow Crab Legs, and Shoyu Ahi Poke were my favorites of the huge number of dishes available in the "All You Can Eat" buffet. This visit reminded me of how wonderful Pagoda Restaurant was 30 years ago. Even if you have been here in last 5 to 10 years, you must try them again soon. Pagoda is back!

Food was really bad. Seemed like it was sitting for a long time under the heat lamps. Dried out chicken and fish. Fried rice was hard, like eating gravel. Do not recommend at all.

We had 4 people (Hawaiian couple with a son and grandson) visiting from HIlo and we wanted to let them have an ono buffet brunch before leaving at 3 pm to return home. They were so satisfied with all the choices and loved the prime rib (which was not dry and bland), crab legs, shrimp tempura and bread pudding! My boyfriend and I have dined there before and as usual, we are pleased with all the tasty entrees and love the desserts! My 9 yr. old granddaughter loved feeding the koi and my boyfriend and his friend noticed how big the ulua was!

Buffet was delicious. Nice local place with mainly Kamaaina customers. Roland was our server and a Japanese older male seemed to be the manager. He too was very nice and helpful. We love the crab, seafood and desserts. Will be there again!

Food was ok. I was expecting more Chinese’s food the. Just fried rice and chow main .. Buffet price was $20.99 and it was probably worth $16.99.

It's been a while since dining at Pagoda and a lot has changed. We celebrated my son's 25th birthday and was pleasantly surprised that his meal was free (on his birthday)! We did miss the shrimp tempura and other dishes, but we enjoyed how the all you can eat prime rib and crab legs are now brought to the table. We were able to bring our own birthday cake, and they graciously held it and then brought it out plated when we were ready. Our server was awesome and look forward to going back soon!

We ate at the buffet, which was very reasonably priced. Service was pretty good in the beginning. Salads and Poke we pretty good, as was some of the deserts. The rest was mediocre. The fish was a little better than the meat dishes. It is a very good value.

This review is coming some time after our dinner because I rarely share my thoughts even after an unsatisfactory experience. However, a little over a month later, I am still feeling disappointed! I searched for weeks for somewhere to take the family for my daughter's 17th birthday. Wrong decision for so many reasons. The hostess seemed polite while seating us, but later as the bartender and cashier, you could tell she was overwhelmed and rushed us when we had questions about our $500 bill. The service was mediocre because there were only two severs taking care of an almost full dining area. We had to wait quite a while for drink refills which could have been overlooked if the food was decent. We headed to the food line at about 6 pm and the fish and beef dishes were already empty. The salad and fruit dishes were full and looked the most appetizing in comparison to the rest of the selections that were still available, so we just ate that. Soon the fish and beef dishes were replenished and a mushroom chicken dish came out. A lot of the mushroom chicken was made of small bits and pieces and fat. The beef dish lacked seasoning for taste and the fish was cold although it was just replenished. We moved on to dessert quickly due to the main dish selections, but that was even more disappointing! The chocolate dipped strawberries were available once and when it ran out, it was not replenished, the bread pudding was cold and the cakes/pies lacked taste to meet anyone's sweet tooth. To search from a special place to celebrate an occasion, anticipate flavorful food and melt in your mouth baked goods, and hopes of satisfaction only to be disappointed in more ways than one really makes for a sad night! On a side note, to have a pond full of fish and no fish food at least according to the hostess when we tried to purchase some is disappointing! My family of 15 will not be returning!

After a few months we decided to dine at Pagoda again. The food was delicious and the variety made it hard to choose what to eat. We were fortunate to have Dennis, our waiter, again. This guy is awesome! Our ice tea glasses were never empty, always had a fresh supply of napkins on the table and checked-up on us every few minutes. With excellent food & great service we will definitely be coming to Pagoda regularly.

We made last minute reservation through Open table. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant. We came in on a Saturday so our server was open and honest. Said ordering off the menu would take a long time so buffet would be the best option. And she was right. There were a few big parties happening at once. Crowded but spacious. The food is good. A lot of option - cold dishes and hot dishes. The dessert bar was nice- cakes, pies, ice cream. The best part is getting to feed the koi fishes. Getting to see the water fall and garden area. I would recommend this restaurant. I would eat here again.

It was a most enjoyable Saturday night buffet. Our server was friendly and the food was exceptional for a buffet at that price. Food was not salty and was served in smaller dishes that were replenished often to keep everything fresh. Great all around.

Celebrated a birthday there. Main reason was for the snow crab. The rest of the buffet is a bonus. Since we had a large party, we got the private tea house. This was our first time in the tea house. It was perfect for our party. Our waiter was awesome. Food was great as usual!!

To me, the best part of the buffet was the poke. I also liked the sliced tako and the salads. The meat was really fatty, though tasty, and the lemon chicken had no taste! Please pour more sauce on the chicken. However, the sautéed fish was good, and I liked the zenzai. People were disappointed that you no longer have the soft-serve ice cream.

We enjoyed the Pagoda Floating Restaurant's Friday Hawaiian lunch buffet, which included kalua pig, laulau, lomi-lomi salmon, poi, and haupia. Server Keith Kawahara was cordial and attentive throughout our meal, and, later, willingly accommodated our request to take group photos in the garden above the koi pond. Delicious dishes and excellent service amid beautiful surroundings made our early New Year's family celebration a special one. We will be back!

The staff was friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the crab leg buffet and I ordered the regular buffet. Although the price is reasonable I was very disappointed in the quality and selection of the food available on the buffet. It was also bland and tasteless. We asked to be seated near the window and was cheerfully moved to the last remaining table for two with a view of the koi ponds. Unfortunately it was the closest table to the kitchen which produced a terrible smell. This meal out was to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I chose the Floating Pagoda because he wanted crab legs. With a little care and finesse in the kitchen this could be a great restaurant. Until then we won’t return.
