Paesano of Mulberry Street
Our server never asked us if we wanted anything to drink, so all we had was water. The food was delicious, but again, our server never asked if we wanted more bread... we never had the opportunity to ask because our server only came to take our order , deliver food, and give our Check. Overall, it was enjoyable, but poor service.
Service was very accommodating! It’s a small restaurant but they made our party of 6 plus baby very comfortable.
Ordered lasagna, veal saltimbucca, chicken & veal parmigiana, all enjoyable.
Great food and service but it was a little tight and loud. I woukd go back though. Reasonable prices.
Always terrific! The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is amazing! Our favorite go to spot!
Very nice service, absolutely horrible food. Touristy
This is my third or fourth time at this restaurant. The food is so flavorful and made in the traditional style. The decor is simply beautiful and makes it feel very warm and cozy the second you walk in.
Despite booking, waited about 15 minutes. Very noisy like most Italian restaurants, but great food and very enjoyable.
Amazing food came out so fast and was so delicious! Very romantic setting! You won't be disappointed! I and my boyfriend will definitely be coming back!
The best scampi shrimp pasta I ever had. Also had rigatoni a la vodka. Good portions and nice ambience. Always crowded so should book a table before you come here.
This is exactly what I envisioned an Italian restaurant with old country roots would be like in Little Italy. Food was outstanding and prices reasonable for NYC. The service was a good balance of polite and prompt. Didn’t feel rushed at all but we got through in good time.
Great place to eat! With all the choices in Little Italy, we were very happy with our choice.
Made a reservation and still had to wait an hour.. they messed up my mothers order and didn’t even apologize. They have her veal instead of chicken. I understand it was Saturday and busy but it was just overall a disappointing experience.
All our meals were delicious with huge portions. It’s busy, but it did not distract from our dining. We really enjoyed our time and our waiter was wonderful. Highly recommend it. We’ll be back.
I love this place. It feels like you step into a different world when you go inside and it is simply wonderful. Delicious food, great service. Go!
Service and food was excellent. I would definitely go back there next time I’m in the city
It was my daughters birthday and I took her and all her friends. And the staff made the whole dinner feel very special.
I would and will recommend this restaurant. We had a wonderful experience and will be back as a family. Thank you for making our trip to NYC even more wonderful through your food, service and location.
We were a party of three with a midweek reservation. Restaurant was steady but they did not set aside a table for us and.sat us at a busy isle. The atmosphere was cozy and overall service was attentive. The menu is tradition items with generous portions that are nicely prepared. Overall good experience even with the isle seats. If a special occasional hold out for a non-isle seat.
Cozy Mom & Pop Italian restaurant. Delicious food. Great service. Definitely hit the spot!
Decent Italian place in the heart of Little Italy. Food was fairly average but service and atmosphere was nice and enjoyable
The best eggplant parmesan ever! I loved the food and ambience. I really felt like I was in Italy!
I was not happy with the seating in the restaurant. way too crowded. we were put in an isle table where people were constantly walking by. The entire meal was served way too fast we were only halfway through our appetizer when the main course was put on the small table. They were obviously trying to push us out quickly. My husband and I each ordered a veal meal which was over cooked and very chewy. With all of the choices of restaurants in New York I would definitely not recommend or go there again.
Very good food and cheap. Great ambiance. Recommend!
Best Italian food I have ever had. Definitely will come here next time I am in NYC
Delicious meal, cute ambiance, great service!
The food was fabulous! The only thing that was frustrating was we waited over 30 minutes after our reservation time.
Little Italy not what it once was. I had the rigatoni amatriciana. It was spicy and more like fra diavolo and the pancetta was thick and not good. My husband had the gnocchi which was soft and melted in your mouth which indicated it was fresh but bolognese not very tasty. Our kids ordered chicken cutlet. Not good. My 8 year old can make a tastier cutlet.
Had a bit of a wait for our reservation but loved the ambience and the food
Best restaraunt I've ever been to, the wait took a while because it was packed but it's all good on my end!
Service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, the decoration was was charming
The BEST marinara sauce I have ever tasted!! Romantic atmosphere, great service!!
So good! I got the pesto gnocci which was amazing. Quick service, they gave you bread and butter to start. Great wine selection and pretty cheap prizes for NYC and considering it’s kind of a tourist area. Definitely would recommend and go back!
In NYC for shopping and dined here. Waiter was great and the food delicious!!! Will be back!
The staff and the food was terrific. Good service and hot food .
I really wanted to like this place but the food was terrible.
From the start it was packed, I spoke with someone in front telling him I had a reservation at 815.
He snapped back everyone has a reservation, then walked away. We were not seated until 845. Overbooking a restaurant like that is awful. When ordering the waiter gave a lecture of how we couldn't mix sauces (if I'm paying for it why did he care?). The food came out extremely quick, which I was a little weary about, but it tasted good, nothing extraordinary. Also had to ask for lemon a few times before we got it and our water was never refilled.
So happy we chose to eat here. Took some friends on their engagement night and the food was so good!
Food was good, atmosphere classic, service so so as had to ask for simple things like oil for bread (twice) and requested lemon for fish (twice). Service was thus not very attentive. Overall would still recommend.
We were visiting NYC and wanted a great Italian dinner, so we headed to Little Italy. We saw a show so our reservation was late (10:30pm) and the restaurant was a bit quieter as a result. It was exactly what we wanted. The waiter was surprisingly standoffish. We couldn't figure out why. Halfway thru our meal, another waiter took over who was great. I had the seafood and pasta (can't remember the exact name), and it was amazing. Normally there's a modest amount of seafood, but I could barely finish the lobster, mussels, calamari, etc. It was a huge helping and I loved it. My wife had a smaller pasta/mussels dish which she liked a lot. We'd definitely go again.
