We had the daily special which was delicious and a good value.
We had never been here before so it was a pleasant surprise to walk into a what appeared to be a cozy little place. But things went downhill from there.
We opted to sit at the bar. I ordered a martini, my companion a glass of wine. Both drinks were the shortest pours we had ever been served.
How can one not order corned beef and cabbage in an Irish Pub, right? So I did. Won't do it again. Though the corned beef was OK -- moist and not overly salted -- the cabbage was so overcooked as to be unpleasantly watery and had no flavor.
My dinner companion ordered what should have been the other must-have meal, the Shepherd's Pie. Again, boringly bland. And really should have been called Mashed Potatoes dotted with bits of beef and peas Pie.
All in all, a very disappointing experience.
A great Thanksgiving option for those not wanting to cook and looking for variety beyond the standard fare of which it was available if that was what you were looking for
One of my local lunch spots. GREAT place to meet with clients & friends.
Great service and really good selection of menu items but most of all... Kerry our server was AWESOME!!!
Three of us enjoyed a fresh, hot brunch at Paddy Coyne's. The waitress was pleasant and attentive, and the food was piping hot. (It is difficult to get scrambled eggs from grill to table still hot!) The meals were served within less than 10 minutes of ordering. We were all pleased with our brunch meals. Although I only had a side of eggs and bacon, the portion was generous and cooked just right. Thank you! We will be back!
One of our most favorite stops to meet and eat. Only the service is better than the food!
We got there right when they opened at 10 am on Sunday. It was quiet. The service and food was great.
If you go to Paddy's expecting something other than pub food, you'll be disappointed. That said, their fish & chips were great with above average tartar sauce. Add in Guinness on tap and it was exactly what we wanted for lunch. I've had their apps in previous trips and have not been disappointed yet. Good Irish pub in great location.
After years of meeting my wife and some of her friends, for lunch and an afternoon stroll through Bellevue Arts Fair. I was tasked with finding a different meeting place. Luckily I chose "Paddy Coyne's Irish Pub". The ambiance, service, & Food turned what could have been a miserable afternoon, into an enjoyable experience. Everything considered, it was an outstanding value.
Looking forward to our next visit.
We had a reservation and when we got there, they didn't ask our name they said sit anywhere. I told them we had a reservation which didn't mean anything. My husband ordered Shepherd's Pie which was in a casserole with a little beef, lots of carrots and a very, very thin layer of mashed potato that was almost non existent. I ordered lamb stew which tasted good but half the pieces of lamb was gristly. Place was crowded and noisy, tables too close together, service slow. We won't go back.
Consistent quality. GREAT staff. Prices not cheap but average for downtown Bellevue.
Table was already reserved for us and the customer service was outstanding! Keep it up!
We went for a late lunch. It was a nice atmosphere to have a relaxing and private conversation or business talk. The background music is always enjoyable and not too loud. If you like to sit to watch cars and pedestrians go by you can sit in the covered outer section. However the cars speeding down Bellevue Way may be louder than you like. The beer selection is good and the draft tastes like well taken care of. My wife had the savory Lamb pot pie and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Santa Fe wrap which is quite tasty. A side of soda bread help us cleanse the palate as we shared our orders. The Guinness Chocolate Cake helped conclude the late lunch.
Paddy Coyne's is a fun pub to drop in and have lunch with a friend or a beer after hours. The menu typical is Irish-style pub food and a good value, and service is both friendly and attentive. Compared to other venues in DT Bellevue, this place is not as a expensive and easier to get in and out of quickly.
My rating is three stars overall, as it is fun and a good value, but not fine dining.
Really enjoyed taking my son here for his birthday. Everything was great!
Stopped in for lunch. The menu items are very different and I like that. My two small plates were fantastic! Hope to come back again next season.
Definitely a go to place for meals as leisurely or hurried as you prefer. Food always is good with a nice variety to choose from at reasonable prices. Dining is never rushed by the staff despite the size of the crowd. This is a good facility we enjoy frequenting for lunch regularly on a monthly basis.
Time for a refresh of F F & E!!
Food ok not special
A reservation on open table meant absolutely nothing. Sadly this is the norm during Bellevue’s Snowflake lane.
As always, consistently good food and excellent service at all hours on all days.
Paddy Cone’s was a great unique way to celebrate Thanksgiving, Irish style. The vibe was very friendly, the service was spot on and the food was great. I was clebrating with my 90 year old Dad and he is very hard to please. He loved the corn beef and said the cabbage was very tasty and sweet. I’m not a beef eater and I really liked they had non beef options that were very fresh and delicious
So so food & service.
Stopped in to Paddy's for a work lunch, Food was great. The service was also very good. Great people working here.
Great spot, especially for lunch. Nice variety on the menu.
Reasonably priced menu. Adequate selection of food items. Services prompt, Pleasant and efficient.
Normally like the place, ordered a veggie wrap and the chef didn't know how to make it, tried and was sent back because wasn't good. Very dissapointed with this visit.
Good menu with classic Irish dishes. Irish stew was favorable, but very rich, Shepherd's Pie was tasty.
Decent breakfast and great service.
Ruben was amazing!!!
I have been here twice in the last week (for the first time) and am quite impressed by Paddy Coyne's as a great place to have a meal before a movie at Lincoln Square. Although it can be noisy, we were lucky to sit in the outside/enclosed area which is quieter, and a little booth which shielded us from noise. The Happy Hour menu (3-6 pm) has a great variety of inexpensive meals. Waitresses both time seemed new and inexperienced but were friendly and helpful.
Paddy Coyn's doesn't need reviews. The big daily crowds are review enough. They can get so busy that the service gets bad and it's not the servers fault. I eat there often and frequently bring friends because it's reliable food at a fair value.
Always good food and atmosphere.
So many of the same people return repeatedly it's surprising they're able to remain so low key and unassuming. When a major class chain eatery like McCormick's is around the corner and is unable to compete, you know Paddy Coyne's is someplace special. Try their very considerate non-commercial attention. Hard to find most anywhere else.
The mimosas were delicious, honestly the food was not what I thought it would be. The red potatoes were undercooked. I like traditional Eggs Benedict one burnt toast, one not toasted. Just seem like a tough day at the office for the Chefs. I would not recommend breakfast, would try again for lunch or dinner if in the area. The hostess and waiter for very friendly.
This is a great find for brunch.
Nice place for lunch.
This is a most accommodating and very convenient place to eat and meet. If I were homeless I would move in there. Staff all are so nice they probably wouldn't even care.
Always good food, service and drinks. Homemade desserts are special treat
Dependable and dependable
