About Packard's New American Kitchen
Packard’s New American Kitchen is steeped in the heritage of Oklahoma City’s historic Packard Building. Through the build out process of the restaurant we were able to restore several elements of the original Packard dealership that really bring the history of the space to life. Be sure to check out the craftsmanship uncovered in the tile that originally served as the show room floor.
Our menu is a modern take on classic American favorites using locally sourced ingredients and features house-made breads & pastas.

Packard's New American Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
We went for brunch on my birthday today and it was amazing! Make sure to try the bacon - it was the best bacon I've ever had in my life. It was sort of sweet and cinnamon-y. Actually, everything was pretty much the best brunch food I've ever had. Our server was awesome too. You will love it here!
It has been a while since I’ve been here. When Packard’s first opened it was hands down my favorite restaurant in OKC. The ambience is great, the craft cocktails are excellent, the location is great, but most of all the food is absolutely delicious. I recommend the blackened redfish with crawfish etouffee and risotto. Don’t miss this place!
I have dined at a Packard’s many times, but I will not return based on my experience last Saturday night. Our reservation was at 6:15. Our waitress promptly took our drink order, but was very slow to take our dinner order. After waiting patiently for our food to arrive, we finally waved down our waitress at 7:10 to ask if our order had been lost. She indicated that our order should be next. The parties sitting next to us who arrived after we did had already received their orders and were almost finished. The manager stopped at the table next to us and asked how everything was. As she walked past our table, I waved her down and asked if she could check on our order. She came back to say our order was not submitted until 6:45 and since my 85 year old Dad wanted his porch cop “well done”, it would take an extra 30 minutes to prepare! She was very dismissive to us and offered no apologies and never followed up with us again. The food finally came out at 7:15. We ended up having to gulp down our meal because we had tickets to the play at 8:00. I thought making reservations at 6:15 would be plenty of time, but I guess I was wrong. I ordered the special, which was quail. This was the worst meal I ever had there. It was a piece of Texas toast with one quail topped with pickles!! It was so strange. The quail was so rubbery, I could not even pull any meat off of it. I ended up sharing my Mom’s ribs with her, which were delicious. My Dad’s pork chop was also good. Other than that, the evening was a disaster!
This was our first time coming to Packards. We didn't care for being at the very first table next to the entry. The overall atmosphere was nice. A bit noisy to have good conversation. Our server, Hannah, was amazing. Food was mediocre for and fell short of expectations. Great bar and wine menu.
I usually love packards, but today when I ordered the biscuits and gravy the biscuit was burnt and the waitress' response was "they just like to make them extra firm." She took it back and the next plate had an even more "firm" biscuit that tasted more acrid than the first. They did comp the biscuits and gravy but overall was disappointed with the food and service this time around.
My husband and I made reservations for brunch on a Saturday morning to celebrate my husband's birthday. I think we could have gotten in without a reservation, but better safe than sorry! We started with a carafe of mimosas and the crab beignets. The mimosas weren't the cheapest around town but fairly reasonable considering the great ambiance and beautiful decor. The crab beignets alone were worth the trip. They are full of so much crab. They are rich and perfectly fried, served with this yummy comeback sauce. I personally wanted the smoked salmon plate, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to pass up the beignets. Our entrees were delicious. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy. You can tell everything is cooked/baked fresh. The biscuits melt in your mouth. His eggs were cooked perfectly. The gravy had so much flavor but wasn't oversalted like many gravies are. I ordered the Bodega Burrito without the pork. The bell peppers and onions added just enough flavor, and the burrito was packed with eggs and potatoes. I asked for avocado on the side and the waitress informed me that it would be a couple dollars extra. I didn't mind but appreciated the head's up! Know that add-ons will be on your check, not free. Either way, the food was delicious, the drinks were reasonable and the overall experience was wonderful. It's our favorite brunch that we have had in a long time, compared to some of the trendy places in the city like Jones Assembly. We will definitely visit Packard's again!
The rooftop dining is very different that indoor main floor dining. We opted for the rooftop rather than wait 45 minutes for a larger table on main floor when our party grew from four to six. Roof top has no wait staff, very small but good menu and food is served in covered plastic take out trays. So upstairs is a bar and downstairs is dining. Staff is friendly.
I liked the fact that the restaurant was in a historic buiding. We were there for dinner prior to going to a play so where there from about 6:00pm to 7:15. We enjoyed the ambiance, the food (excellent), the service which was create but not the noise level which was pretty high but the time we were there was the post work happy work.
Great restaurant with an excellent staff. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and bar menu in its entirety. My only suggestion would be adding a few seasonal entree items to change things up. There’s isnt a huge variety as far as food goes, and the menu is the same every time I visit.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Packard's. The dining room was full, and the noise level was moderate. But conversation was not drowned out, and the buzz added an upbeat vibe. The cocktail were excellent, and the food was top rate. There was a vegetarian entree and the server pointed out several others that could be made vegetarian. The food, including salads was terrific - a good mix of fresh ingredients, with interesting flavor combinations. I would definitely eat there again, and I have already recommended to someone.
Exceptional restaurant, knowledgeable staff and great service, Packard's sets a high standard of excellence in the Oklahoma City restaurant scene. I have eaten here frequently for numerous occasions and never have been disappointed. I always look forward to daily specials & the creativity of the Chef Chris McKenna when putting a Cajun spin on his delectable creations.
