Packards at Innisbrook Resort Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit to Packards at Innisbrook. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. My Delmonico was prepared as requested, flavorful, and at 22oz more than I could eat at one sitting . My wife's Filet was also delicious and tender.
While the garlic mashed potatoes were somewhat bland to our taste, the bacon roasted brussel sprouts were very good.
Overall it was a nice, quiet evening with any enjoyable meal.
Food was really good but also really expensive. For 6 people with 7 alcoholic drinks, 2 appetizers, soups or salad for everyone, entrees and 1 dessert the total was $455 before tip. It was a special occasion so we splurged but I would go there again. Everything I tried was perfectly delicious.
This was my wife's and my second time to Packard's. We picked Packard's to celebrate our anniversary, which is what we did on our first trip to Packard's a year ago. We were so very impressed our first time we decided to try it again. We were not disappointed. The best parts, once again, were the impeccable service and the food. My wife and I both started with the French Onion Soup (one of the best I've ever had!). We then shared the jumbo shrimp (they were huge!). We both had the filet mignon. Although we prefer different levels of cooking, I prefer medium-well and she prefers medium, both steaks were perfectly prepared. The garlic mashed potatoes are exquisite! Although we were both stuffed by then and had decided not to have dessert, the waitress came out with an ice cream covered brownie with a candle, compliments of the restaurant. Well . . . we couldn't let it go to waste (waist!). Fantastic!
As far as atmosphere, keep in mind that this is a golf course. There is a sports-type bar in the far corner of the restaurant, but it is not very loud nor did it interfere with our dining experience. My wife and I prefer to dress nicely when we go out to celebrate, and a jacket with open collar is appropriate for males and a nice cocktail dress for the ladies (you will see some folks in very casual attire). The overall atmosphere is very relaxed and, depending where you are seated, there is a somewhat scenic view of the golf course.
Pricewise, I would say that Packard's is somewhat less expensive than say Ruth's Chris or Bern's Steakhouse, but not by much. Regardless, we enthusiastically recommend Packard's!
While staying at the innisbrook resort. My wife and myself had dinner at Packards. It was outstanding. Upon arrival we were seated promptly by the hostess, then greeted by our server Sharon. We ordered drinks. While looking over the menu we were told about the specials. We ordered the ahi-tuna & the escargot for appetizers. For our main courses she had the filet mignon cooked perfectly, I had the Lamb Osso Bucco over Gnocchi, could be one of the best dishes I ever had. Finished with coffee & Creme Brule . A truly Fantastic evening. Can't wait to go back again.
For a steakhouse, the steaks were all either over cooked or undercooked. Four of us ordered our steaks cooked the same way and each steak arrived incorrect. Not one was at the correct temperature.
Also, we ordered oysters and were told they were out because of the recent Hurricane (over a month has passed since the hurricane). What is upsetting is that the Chef and Manager lied and blamed the hurricane.
We come to Packards frequently. The food is consistently delicious, (we love to share a rib eye steak and a wedge salad) and the service (Theresa is our server) is excellent every time. We give it the highest recommendation.
Our server was fantastic! Very helpful and patient. When our food was presented it looked perfect and tasted even better. Our glasses were never empty. The atmosphere is cozy and overlooks the Copperhead course at innisbrook. Great for date night it a special occasion.
Hard to know what it's really like. We went on Easter Sunday for early dinner- 1 other table, so lots of staff bored and milling around. Food ok- prices high, but expected for a Golf Club
Staff very friendly and I bet it would have been more enjoyable if more people were around.
I would recommend this restaurant for everything- depending upon your choice of time of day.
Wife and I had the she crab soup. Both of us had the runs The noise was off the charts and for the price it's not a very nice . Its in the gulf club house for godsake. I thought it would of been in a separate room. No one will ever see this review but I will never go back.
Usually this is a romantic, candlelit dining event for us. We visit regularly. This was a celebration of an early Valentine's Day--we got engaged on Feb. 13 so it is easy to celebrate the day before. Teresa was a great waitress and took great care of us. The food, as always, was outstanding. They were hosting 35 guests that arrived early and went into the bar for drinks. The bar has a much lower ceiling than the dining room and open door ways and windows go into the dining room. Therefore, the quiet, romantic conversation went away once about a dozen folks started talking and as more guests arrived, they got louder and louder to be heard. Peace descended again once these folks got seated at several tables and began to enjoy the warm bread and various flavored butters. I know this can not be helped, but I would expect that during high volume golfing periods, you may want to avoid booking an intimate dinner.
The food was terrific and the service even better! Loved the fact that not only sides, but also steaks could be shared - can only manage 6 oz. so it was nice to be able to split a 12 oz. of a cut other than the filet. Steaks were cooked exactly as described on the menu. Ate there twice, and the second time did have the 6 oz. filet - the outside had a very flavorful seasoning and a bit of a crunch. Sides were very tasty also although the twice-baked potato was a little dry, the mashed potatoes and mushrooms were delicious.
This is the first time my wife and I went there for dinner. We had been once before for lunch, which was the reason we decided to try dinner. We were celebrating Valentine's Day the Saturday before. Our reservations were for 6PM. Although we arrived about 15 minutes early, we were promptly seated. We can't say enough about the service! Our waiter, Ralph, was exceptional! His personality and professionalism really contributed to making this a very enjoyable evening. So much so that I felt compelled to praise him in front of his supervisor. As far as the food, my wife and I both had the filet. Each filet was perfectly prepared! We also had the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus to share. Good stuff!! All in all, the entire evening was exceptional! I enthusiastically recommend Packard's Steakhouse for any occasion!
