Pacifico Pizzeria Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We were given the wrong pizza and lied to.
Three of us ordered a large Margherita pizza (one of their signature pizzas), as per the menu it includes crushed tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil.
The pizza we received was plain cheese. When we asked the waitress, she went to check with the chef. She returned with small saucer of basil, barely enough to for a few slices, rather than the large pizza. She told us the chef forgot the basil, but it was a Margherita and gave us the basil to add on top.
We've ordered Margherita pizza's from Pacifico before, previously it had fresh mozzarella rather than shredded cheese, and there were tomatoes and basil spread around it.
The pizza we received this time looked and tasted like a generic plain cheese pizza.
When we asked another server to double check, they told us that the pizza was a Margherita, told us it didn't come with crushed tomatoes, and ignored us when we told her the description on the menu said otherwise.
So we were given the wrong pizza or at the very least a defective Margherita pizza and then lied to. They refused to give us a new, correctly made pizza, and insisted that we were wrong.
We arrived early to beat any crowd because of an upcoming commitment. The staff was busy boxing a large pizza order when we arrived but one of the staff was quick to seat us and provide us with menus and water. I ordered a Sicilian medium pizza. My wife chose the soup and salad: she chose the mushroom soup. Both the salad and pizza were very good. The mushroom soup proved to be a challenge: a TON of mushrooms and I mean a ton to the point of very little broth. The broth was very good but even with her best efforts the mushrooms were way out of proportion. The service was good, reliable. The place was not overly busy but did have one large group. We would return but be a little more careful about what we were ordering.
Service was good, food was great. We were looking for quick service on our way to a concert and the server was awesome. We have eaten here in the past and the food is always very good and great value.
However, this visit we took a wrong turn on the way to the restaurant and arrived a few minutes past our reservation time. We were then given a lectures from a young male greeter about our "tardiness" and told we were "lucky they never gave up our table". Besides that this restaurant always delivers great food and good value.
Food was great, service was ok. We ordered the Chicken Parm and a medium pizza. The Chicken Parm was excellent, the pizza did not come as ordered with extra sauce, but it was still pretty good. We were surprised that we had to ask for salt and pepper. The pepper only came freshly ground and our waitress would have had to come back every time we needed pepper but we didn't bother.
The dinner was good. I had a bow tie pasta in a white wine sauce with scallops, shrimp and muscles which was amazing but I asked them to substitute the muscles out with more scallops. My friend had the spicy penne which was actually not very good. Had a weird taste and was very spicy. Didn't love that one at all.
Pacifico is an amazing restaurant with fantastic service and great food. I've been dining here for years and the pizza can't be beat. That being said, if you make a reservation, don't be shocked if it's either been given away or there isn't actually a table for you.
Had not being there in awhile. Food was not as good as previous times. Service was poor. Waters were not refilled, had to wait a long time to get grated Parmesan when requested. Still left a good tip yet the waitress completely ignored us when we were leaving even though we said goodbye to her. She was too busy standing chatting to another waitress.
Overall this restaurant ok, food is good but not great. I think its busy just because its by the theatre, that's the only reason we went there. Our server was good and attentive but the hostesses were full of attitude. A hostess is the first person you see when you enter an establishment, they should be smiling and welcoming.
Great food and great ambience. Restaurant was a bit noisy, but we went on Valentine's Day so the crowd was kind of expected. The food is traditional Italian and is totally worth the extra $$ you pay to dine here. They have a good selection of meats and veg options.
Desserts were outstanding too...try the New York cheesecake. It's fantastic!
