This restaurant gets busy after 7:30. In the beginning, the service was very good but after it started getting busy, our server did not come around for 30 min. We would have liked her to ask how our food was after being served. Other than that, everything was tasty and good.
V poor experience. ...ordered spicy Thai curry which was tasteless....wife ordered pad Thai which was equally bland. Only about 5 other people on the place which sums it up.
We eat here regularly and generally have an outstanding experience, but last night was disappointing. My wife had the chicken teriyaki which had almost no flavor. She ate about two bites and pushed it aside. Two of us had curry which consisted of shrimp floating in flavored milk. Service was good, but that's the only take away that was positive.
Took our granddaughter there for her Birthday. It was not acknowledged. Ordered appetizers and soon after they were served our entree came out. Wanted to have a nice leisurely dinner was very rushed. Will not go back.
good for sushi!
and menu has a nice selection .
Service was attentive and pleasant
New name for restaurant is Kamiya 86
We eat here regularly and always enjoy it. I especially like the sushi and Thai dishes. My wife likes the fried rice and our companion usually gets the sashimi. We have never been disappointed.
The sashimi was okay, CA rolls were rather flavorless. My friend was very disappointed in her chicken with vegetables. I guess it was the poor service that disappointed the most We won't be going back to this location. The Kamiya86 in Jacksonville Beach is worlds better!
pretty quiet place....strip mall is under construction so weird vibe as you you arrive. also sign outside does not say pacific fusion! food is good though- panang curry was excellent (even though waitress brought wrong dish at first! my wife had a mountain of fried rice and my son had two excellent hand-made sushi rolls.
I wish they could decide on a name. Whether you call it Pacific Fusion or Kamiya, we really enjoy it. We had a party of six and ate everything from sashimi to tofu curry. We really had a nice time.
After dining here many times, I was disappointed with the food and the pricing. Having ordered many things on the menu I was familiar with what each item was. This time, nothing was as it had been in the past, including a side order of broccoli with some sauce, which had always been $4 and now was $8 "because of the sauce!" The chicken fried rice had no flavor, General Tso's chicken was half the size. The manager could have cared less. Very sad.
Although they did not have my reservation listed, we were seated immediately which was surprising since it was New Year's Eve and almost every table was taken. Our server was efficient, friendly, and quick. The food is always very good. The name of the restaurant has changed to Kamiya 86 so that might have been the reason they did not have my reservation.
The service was horrible. We waited over an hour to get our simple order. The place was busy but the service was so poor. We won't be returning
The name was different on the outside of the building and the menu was exactly the same as another sushi place in town. Was looking to try something new, it was overpriced average food.
A party of 4 had a reservation . The hostess did not even greet us. Simply asked how many in our party and brought us to our table. Our server was Jasmine. She took our order, brought our food but was very curt. We told her we were not in a rush...nor was the restaurant busy. But, she kept coming back to the table clearing dishes for no reason. She Even took my dish and wanted to know if we wanted dessert before the other 2 people even finished their meal. I did get upset with her. There after she stayed away for at least 5 minutes. Finally, she completely cleaned the table but never asked us if we wanted or needed anything else. Put the check on the table and left. We had apps, 2 dinners plus sushi. The food was not memorable.
We went to Kamiya for different things; I like curry; my wife likes fried rice; and ourf friend wanted sushi. We all got what we wanted and had a good time. As a side benefit, we ra in to several friends as this is a neighborhood favorite.
The Lava roll was amazing just a little small, so I ordered a spicy tuna roll that hit the spot again.
Servers really need to work on their people skills. It doesn't take that much effort to be friendly. Love the food here, but getting tired of rude attitude from servers. Try to put a smile on your face while serving the paying customers, please. Sushi bar guys are great and friendly, but waitress not so much.
I had dined here with a women's group of 8 for lunch. I really liked it so I convinced my spouse & another couple to try it for dinner. This will be my new go to for Asian food. We were seated near a family with small kids. Although, it was great, I would select a later dinner time for my next dinner when I want it less kid-friendly.
The food was what j expected. The service was very friendly and efficient.
Very good and well presented sushi.
Make it your go to for sushi
Very good sushi and Thai dishes at reasonable prices. Outstanding and friendly service. Only negative was cost for glass of house Sauvignon Blanc ($8).
Always outstanding. Our go to neighborhood restaurant. Very creative and always excellent sushi. Presentation is outstanding.
There were three of us and one is not crazy about fusion food, but she found what she believes is a new teriyaki salmon which she really enjoyed. The other two had a sushi appetizer and curry dishes the were perfectly spiced and quite tasty. We will be going back soon.
Wonderful and beautiful neighborhood restaurant. Highly recommend. Fresh sushi and great stir fried dishes.
Always consistent. Great menu and presentation. You won't be disappointed!
We went for the first time and we loved it! My hubby had pad Thai and I had sushi, great atmosphere and very good service!
Reliable, good food. Ambiance very nice, pricing good, wish they had a full bar.
We were rushed out in order to turn over the table.
Great service and food
The menu is average and based on previous comments I was expecting something more sophisticated. Location is not nice, an anonymous strip mall
We have been enjoying Pacific Fusion (Kamiya) for five or six years. The food and service are consistently good if you enjoy Thai or Japanese food. The sushi is as good as you will find. If you prefer brown rice, it is offered but they charge what I feel is a pretty steep premium.
My friend and I had the most enjoyable lunch here. The sushi was absolutely delicious and we had a most attentive waiter. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with low lights for ambience. The sushi presentation was artfully presented and our waiter was most accommodating when we asked for special dipping sauces. Definitely will return!
Under new ownership. understaffed. tremendous wait fro drinks and food. did not ask if we would like coffee and dessert
Sushi is delicious! Service was good but it wasn't very busy and still took a long time for the food to come out. Well worth the wait though once it arrived! Will definitely be my number one choice for sushi in the Jacksonville/Jacksonville Beach area.
10 of us enjoyed wonderful food at Pacific Fusion. Each ordered something different and all were very happy with their choices. They thanked me for introducing them to this restaurant. Food is always very good.
The food was very good and the atmosphere sophisticated. We were worried as the restaurant is situation in a strip mall but this is common we see now in Florida! Would definitely go back again!
I have eaten @ Pacific Fusion multiple times ever since it 1st openned .. the food & service have always been @ a high standard which is why we often return
Everything was fine. This is a rather small restaurant that seems to care a great deal about the service and quality of their menu choices. we will return when in Ponte Vedra. A no brainer.
If you like Thai and sushi you won't go wrong here. Service is efficient and friendly.
