The meal was shockingly expensive ($45 per person for lunch with no alcohol) for food that was merely adequate. The chef seems to really LOVE sriracha sauce and puts it on everything, so you need to like spicy food or your only options will be salad. The scenery is lovely, and the service was attentive and very accommodating in trying to make up for the substandard food issues.
Shari treated us very well. She had great energy that complimented the ambiance nicely. The food was superb per usual.
The food was excellent. The ocean view was spectacular; we were there at sunset The service was outstanding; attentive but not intrusive, helpful, friendly, etc
The service was good even though the restaurant was busy. We ordered the chilled appetizes Sunshine Roll and Yellowtail Tartare Stack stack which was the best I have tasted. Portions were generous. Next was an entree of Filet Mignon Sliders with fries which the kitchen divided beautifully for us. The 2 appetizers would have been plenty. Normally I turn up my nose at french fries. However the White Truffle House-Cut Kennebec Fries tossed with sea salt, Reggiano Parmigiano & parsley were too delicious creating a pleasant state of being.
I come here for the location, views and the Ahi Tuna with forbidden rice. The menu is a bit too much into sliders and fries for me, although they are interesting and high end options. The service is always great. But this time it took a while to get our after meal lattes. We had too flag down the waitress to see what the delay was. It turns out that only the bartender runs the expresso machine and she was overwhelmed with drink orders. Not a good set up!
It was my pre Birthday celebration. We really had a great time. Ambience was perfect & my vegan dish was great. Server helped me a lot. I would love to recommend this restaurant.
Jenna! Simply the best server, ever. Saw an amazing sunset with food and drinks with our friends.
Hands down...BEST MENU! Everyone is so amazing from the time you walk in! I’d eat there every single night...if my weight allowed😂
Great food great service
Pacific Coast Grill has been our go to place since they opened. The view is spectacular but the food recently has been just okay. The last several visits I've been disappointed with the taste of the food. This last visit I had seared ahi served on a black rice. The fish was good but the rice was tasteless. My husband and I will still go there for the view but probably just for drinks and appetizers in the bar.
Excellent service, food and location. Gorgeous sunsets and ocean views
One of our favorites although loud music is keeping us from coming more often.
Great food, excellent service, extensive wine list and superb location and views
Great location and good food. We had a wonderful view of the ocean while we enjoyed the great menu options.
Great experience. It was raining & dark, but valet came to the car with a big umbrella. Even though it was dark because of the weather I was still able to see the waves, that’s how close you’re to the ocean.
The food was delicious. I had the sea bass. I will definitely go back to see the sunset when the weather is good. It’s worth the drive & the cost. $$.
We have noticed it is inconsistent and this time we didn't enjoy the food. The last time we went on a week day it was wonderful. This visit was a weekend. The service and view was great. Unfortunately, my favorite sea bass was not good this time.
The location is great, right on the beach with a gorgeous view but inside the restaurant was loud and hard to have a conversation. The food was good as was the service. This was a first time visit and had I known that it would be that loud inside I would likely have sought a different location. Perhaps the outside patio would be a better option in the summer months.
One of my favorite places in North County! Great food. Love the beach/ocean view. Easy valet parking.
The food was delicious as always. Can't beat wonderful food and an ocean view.
Wait staff was perfect as well as the valets.
Our server was wonderful in every sense. She had a lot to do with an awesome customer experience!
Always loved that place in the old location. Now the oceanfront location makes it unbeatable. Hope they will maintain once they have doubled their size...Love it...
Great dining experience. The staff was friendly and came around frequently to make sure our glasses were filled. The food was amazing!
Great service and view
The food was delicious but the restaurant is very noisy.
Food and drinks were delicious. View was terrific. Very nice night out with our out of town guest.
Food is good and the location is great. Overpriced and noisy.
We asked for upstairs patio when making reservation knowing this could not be guaranteed. Upon arrival we were told it was not available due to private event. Why were we not advised it would not be available anyway when we made he reservation two days before?
We enjoyed a late afternoon lunch on a warm winter day watching the waves ebb and flow and people walking their dogs before going to the Belly Up.
The food was very good. We ordered the ahi and the seabass. Both were wonderfully prepared.
We will definitely go back again.
always perfect. Great food, great service, best view in San Diego
Had an outstanding experience at PCG! The service was great, wine was top notch, and I highly recommend the sea bass to anyone. Views of the ocean created an excellent ambiance and was a perfect date night spot!
Went there for the views. Stayed for the food and drinks.
Service was excellent.
Only down side is the paid valet parking. No options for parking except for the public lot next door which was full.
Ocean views galore. Fresh, new feeling and excellent food. Real California coastal dining.
The noise level made it difficult to converse. The food, although good, was not nearly as good as it has been in the past. The service, however, was excellent.
Beautiful view, right on the beach and delicious food, friendly service.
We were seated in a side dining room that was ridiculously loud. The cocktails and service were very good, but the food was just average. I think this is a great place for lunch, but not dinner.
We loved this place. The sea food (we each selected a different type/entrée) was fresh and cooked with care and attention. I chose the west coast "Paella"; there were so many seafood components (no chicken), and NONE was overcooked (rubbery). Excellent!
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable!
We have been here many times before. We were surprised how poor both the food and service was this time. My wife couldn’t cut her ahi tuna with a knife when usually a fork will suffice. My Asian dish was so salty it burned. Three of the four of us left the majority of our meals on our plate. The waiter never stopped by once to ask how it was. Not once. My wife would have sent hers back. He showed with the check after being absent and said to my 6 year old, the only empty plate (plain pasta) and said how was your meal. Didn’t ask the adults. I left a 9% tip which I have never done but both the food and service were bad.
