Pacific Coast Grill's oceanfront venue features unique "Pacific Coast" cuisine, an oyster bar, select sushi rolls, black mussels, baked oysters, and a plethora of seafood choices, delicious steaks & more! There are two levels of dining at the new PCG with every dining seat in the house carefully planned to have an ocean view. There are bars on both levels and a heated outdoor patio and a deck with one of the best views of the Pacific Ocean and the line up at Cardiff Reef. You can watch surfers, kite surfers, dolphins, whales and spectacular sunsets from throughout the restaurant.

Had relatives from the midwest in took them to Pacific Coast grill. The entire experience was outstanding. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Our go to place to impress anyone.

Celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday; perfect evening, comfortable booth with Southern Cali sun sent. Food was every bit outrageous as we have come to expect from Pacific Coast Grill. Started with cocktails and half order of oysters, delicious little local fellows, fresh beet salad split for two. My beautiful wife chose 6oz. Filet with 8oz. Lobster and left not a morsel to bring home. I chose Salmon, first time I tried at PCG and it was perfectly prepared, generous portions served with rice and vegetables. Managed a second cocktail and passed on dessert. The only disappointment is we wont be back till next month! FIVE STARS

Great ambiance for a Valentine’s Day evening. The food was very good and the service was excellent. My friend actually stopped by to congratulate the manager on the excellent service.

Overall, food was great. My only complaint is my steak/lobster stack was room temperature, while my hubbies paela was steaming. My plate sat a not waiting for the paela.

The best restaurant on the coast! Great coastal decor, view of the surf/ocean/surfers/paddleboarders. Steps from the sand on Cardiff beach. Delicious and varied menu options... sushi, poke, salads, chicken, sandwiches, entrees.... nice, extensive cocktail menu. Our absolute go-to restaurant for us and all of our out of town visitors!!!

While on a business trip I was looking for recommendations and a local guy I was sitting next to at breakfast said if we had time we definitely needed to give Pacific Coast Grill a try. I am so glad we did! The view was amazing as the restaurant sits right on the beach. We went at 5:45pm and saw a gorgeous sunset while we had the best meal of the trip. Our server Adam was fantastic, super friendly and so knowledgeable about the menu with great suggestions. The house made guacamole was delicious. We also got 1/2 dozen oysters that were so yummy and fresh and even tried 2 oyster shooters that were so good, we got two more. All that followed by entrees that were delightful- scallops, short ribs and a vegetarian dish with black rice cooked in coconut milk. My friend said he never tasted rice that was so good! And I wish I wasn't staying in hotel or I would have definitely taken my left over short ribs. The scallops were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Finally bread pudding for dessert that couldn't be beat. My coworkers are going back for lunch tomorrow. My only regret is not staying long enough so I can go back for another meal. Ask for Adam if you go for dinner. You won't be disappointed with the meal or the service!

Have been here previously and have always been impressed with the food and atmosphere. Of course the view is fantastic. The wait staff is not snooty so when we go in jeans and teeshirts it's no problem.

service was thoughtful, attentive and nonintrusive. view glorious. noise level made it tough to converse at a table for 5, door to outside patio sporadically left open which created cold breeze inside. food on the whole tasty with the notable exception that one order of potatoes au gratin served cold (not even warm) and the sea bass entree was dry and tiny.

I have dined at PCG many times. Until today, I have never been disappointed. Our server, Adam seemed very hurried. He never introduced himself, never properly greeted us, and seemed as though he was rushing us through on every level. I only learned his name upon receiving our bill. It was a Sunday afternoon and they were busy, but there is no excuse for not being greeted for 15 minutes. He then took our order for drinks and asked us if we decided anything else yet. We told him we would like the crab and lobster guacamole along with our drinks. The drinks showed up about 15 minutes later and then he asked us if we decided on our entrées. We said yes and gave him our order. 15 minutes again, our entrées came out he then told us that our appetizer would be out shortly that he made the mistake of not hanging it. Two the entrées had problems with them and he seemed bothered by that. One of the entrées was supposed to be the short rib chillaquilles, but he brought the the short ribs Benedict. The other entrée with the issue was exactly as we had questioned and he told us otherwise but it showed up also as a Benedict style breakfast. No apology was made, no effort was made to rectify anything other than reordering the chillaquilles. Adam never offered to just cancel the unnecessary appetizer at this point . He never offered us a second round of drinks. He walked quickly past our table to drop off the check when I raised my glass to him wondering if we are going to be offered another drink and he said "oh you're not finished? " If this were my first visit to PCG I would never return. However, I am confident that this is an isolated incident and will return to a restaurant that I have enjoyed for a very long time.

Food was too salty. When my wife requested something the waitress would only bring what she asked but would never ask if I wanted water or to order an appetizer after my wife would request it. She did remove my wife's order from the bill for the food being too salty. However maybe next time ask the other person if they want water too or to order an appetizer too.

Great experience and service. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The bone-in cowboy steak was absolutely the best I’ve had in a while and was delicious with the bacon wrapped asparagus. The view was incredible during the sunset. Overall a great experience and plan to go again

Had the chicken salad on sugar cane. It was delicious. It was an Asian chicken salad with amazing grilled chicken. The salad was sliced just right and it was lightly dressed as requested. One of the best I ever had.

I live 2 miles from PCG and often overlook it. Having gone to too many overhyped restaurants, we went to PCG and enjoyed the food, the wine and the evening. Yummy crab cake for an app. Our entries were special and the wine list was nice with prices that allowed me to get one of my favorite pinots by Flowers.

We love the setting of this restaurant and booked a table with friends this past weekend to share with them the tranquil view of the beach etc. Unfortunately we were given a table downstairs inside the middle section of the restaurant without view of beach. This is the second time it has happened and a let down for our expectations. We drove from OC to visit. Food and service is fortunately always good and made up a bit for the disappointment.

Pros: Brilliant service - not in your face, but there when required. Intergallactically delicious salmon and bread pudding. Made my jaw drop to be fair. Stunning flavor on both.
Great view of course. Civilized waiting area. Decent parking/valet. Warm outside with heating on otherwise chilly night. Impressive.

Cons: Pretty noisy inside and out (but then I am no youngster), and the acoustics are a bit untamed. Beer selection is okay, but not great. Add a red ale to the mix and I shall return more often!
