Pacific Beach Alehouse Ratings and Reviews
This was not a good experience. My party of 8 ordered together, but two people did not get their two taco dishes for a long, long time after everybody else got their food. We had all finished eating by the time the last two dishes even came. No apology. Their food was cold, too. When we complained, the server shrugged her shoulders.
Maybe just an off day. It was Christmas and maybe they were short kitchen help. Waiter very courteous but we waited over an hour before our food was served. Food ordinary at best. Three menu selections sold out earlier. We don’t live in San Diego so won’t be back anyway.
The buffalo chicken flatbread was truly amazing. I’ve had it often at other places. This was great. You’ve got to ask for vegi-burger but you can get it anyway the beef burgers come. And they have tv’s everywhere so you can see Syracuse beat Clemson like I did. :)
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed the food, service was excellent, just off of the beach. We had our meal out on the patio and it was still pretty noisy..... I say that now because I am old, if I were younger I probably would have said "what noise". We enjoyed our visit and we would recommend this restaurant!
Food was excellent. I had the house red ale and it was very good. For food I had the beer cheese burger medium well with a fried egg added on. Perfect. Great fries. We ate on the top floor and had a nice view of the pier in the distance.
No load in music which too often is the case with Beach pubs. I don't want to go deaf, I just a meal with a nice ambiance. So I will be coming back to Alehouse.
The service was great. Food was marginal. We had chicken tacos, as they were the special for taco Tuesday. I would think the special would be an outstanding item on their menu. Not so much. Chicken was pretty dry. It wasn't a horrible meal, but I probably wouldn't eat here again.
I enjoyed the experience, but I ordered a steak medium to medium rarer and it came totally well done. The waitress could not have benn sweeter, she immediately took the entree back to have another made. It arrived relatively quickly - but the relacepment was just as well done. I just ate the shoe leather.
Amazing place. I was in town for business and we ate several other places before finding this gem. We ate here three nights in a row and was never disappointed. Aleah and the serving staff was truly amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I normally do not write reviews and I travel a lot but well worth a shout out!!
Super yummy and fun enviroment but service was a little slow (and we went there 3 different times during our stay).
Maybe not the best family friendly place if you have little kids but if your kids are good at resturants and flexible-this is definately a must stop and eat place in my opinion. The Ale fashion was super delish!!!!!
Favorite place for brunch with friends. Love the Local breakfast and the Bloody Mary's are awesome!! Best around!! Nice quite environment but also hip!! great for family or the young hip crowd. Has class compared to most of the bars around there. You can sit inside or upstairs outside with ocean view is great!!!place is clean and up too par!!! My favorite place for brunch in PB by far!!!!
This is a hotspot in Pacific Beach and mostly it's a younger crowd, although you wouldn't feel out of place no matter your age. The service is quick and friendly. We sat on the main floor. They have a big second floor overlooking the ocean, but it appears to be more of the bar crowd there. We came for dinner. The food is pretty standard bar fare and it was all good. I split a great salad and one of the flat breads, which was tasty.
