Paciarino is a casual dining restaurant that specializes in home-style pasta and Italian classics, served in a cheerful and relaxed space. This Portland restaurant lures guests with savory dishes, made to order using fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Visit Paciarino and tease your senses with some lasangne all Bolognese, tossed with carrots, onions, garlic, pork and lean ground beef. Round it off with some delectable tiramisu, layered with mascarpone cream and dusted with cocoa powder. Paciarino also offers catering services, with a special menu that can be customized to fit with different events. This restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.
My boyfriend and I we headed to a last minute portland trip and this was a great spot for genuine Italian food. Liked the feel and ambiance inside, not too loud, and overall we had a nice time. Great for a date night.
We were trying to find a local Italian restaurant and this place was recommended by the bartender at Bull Feeny's. Great place. Hand made pasta and great service. Everything tasted so fresh.
This cozy little place features fresh pastas and sauces made by hand each day by the owner himself. It's owned and operated by a couple that moved to PORTLAND from Milan recently, and it tastes and feels like you are guests in their home. Great wine list, nice imported cheeses and salamis, delicious food and comfortable, non pretentious atmosphere.
Paciarino is not trendy like most of the stars of the new Portland food scene, but it quietly holds its place among the best in town. I highly recommend it.
Very comfortable, warm restaurant. The food was amazing and the atmosphere fun and relaxed. And the person who waited on us was a delight!
My wife and I went to Paciarino last night with another couple, hoping to catch up on old times and to eat some great food. What we found was very decent food in a noisy environment that largely lacked charm. The service was okay, but only okay. The wine list was very limited, and the lack of a full bar filled out the recipe for "meh." I won't be hurrying back.
Simple menu, excellent choices
Tiny place with no bar area - food was good but not great and and overall I'd say 3.5 stars
Simple Italian food in a simple place
This was our third visit to Paciarino. The food was excellent as usual. Shared a nice Pinot Noir recommended by our server. The Salame e Pecorino for an app hit the spot. Then had Ravioli Milano for a meal. Simple and delicious.
Despite a limited menu, this restaurant delivers big time. Carefully prepared dishes score high on flavor. Service was excellent and the setting in one of the many historic buildings in Old Port made our visit complete. Would highly recommend this place to my pickiest foody friend.
Pasta dishes are terrific and creative. Wine list is unpretentious and reasonably priced. Only knock might be that there aren't many choices for a person who doesn't care for pasta (my wife).
We had an outstanding experience at this restaurant. I found it through a review in the New York Times and I was glad I chose it. Everything we ordered was fresh and delectable. It was a true dining experience that was of a high quality. Our waiter was great too. We had a mistake with one of our orders and they gave us an extra while we waited for our correct order, which was above and beyond. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Italian experience and freshness beyond comparison!
We were looking for a nice place in the old port for a relaxing dinner. The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was very relaxing, employees were friendly, making the overall night a wonderful experience. I asked for a corner table when I made the reservations and we couldn't have asked for a better table. We definitely will return again and try something new on the menu.
The food was excellent. We had the mozzarella and tomato salad and the 2 raviolis. One hD goat cheese filling. So yummy as was the bread and wine
Service disappointing. The waiter never brought me the pepper or water refills I asked for.
We have been eating at Paciarino for years. We have never been disappointed. The food is always great and the staff are like family.
Stephanie, our server was very pleasant, attentive but not overbearing and knew the menu well. The menu was not extensive but instead featured several authentic Italian dishes and salads of locally grown greens. The wine list was nicely rounded with reds whites and a selection of seasonal offerings. We especially loved the fact that many of the dishes were family recipes!
