Patrick, who was our waiter, was PHENOMENAL!....we celebrated a birthday at the table and he made sure it was a special evening for all. The marinated porterhouse was exceptional, and the accompaniment of the mushrooms and spinach was fabulous! Very nice wait staff and I would not hesitate to go back!
We made a reservation for 8 for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent as well as the food service. The only complaint I have was that we made the reservation for 8pm, arrived 15 minutes early (entire party) but was not seated until 8:50. The manager was very apologetic as were the hostesses. No use yelling at them. They comped us well and with the food being so good and the service otherwise excellent we were all happy. I would definitely go back but maybe change the reservation time for earlier to avoid the problem.
Though we had a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated (they probably overbooked and the weather was beautiful that day). 45 minute wait is not normal for Paces. To make up for this, they offered a free drink to me and my fiancé. The service was great and the porterhouse and ribeye steaks were fantastic. Sautéed asparagus was excellent while sautéed mushrooms were a little bland. Bread was hot and fresh and complementary salad was so-so. Bottom line is that this place has excellent steaks (as good as Peter Luger or Bryant & Cooper) and an excellent atmosphere and excellent service.
never disappointing.... always solid, great service, great food, good prices.... no issues
Have visited before and enjoyed. Never rushed and always comfortable. This trip we were close to the door so it was a little busier than usual while trying to celebrate our anniversary. Still pleased. Enjoyable food and atmosphere. Seriously Sinatra playing in the background. Love it.
I ate dinner here on a Saturday nite. The Food and service was outstanding...exceeded my expectations and was comparable with the most upscale restaurants in manhattan. The wait staff is top notch and really go out of their way to accommodate any special requests. I especially enjoyed the lively bar scene. As well as the ambiance.
Always exceptional service and food. Always a friendly greeting from Michael and Patrick. They truly appreciate their customers and it goes a long , long way. This is a wonderful dining experience every time!
Took my fiancée here for dinner. Had to wait a bit but otherwise we had a great time. Had the porterhouse steak for two and was great. Loved the ambiance and service
Consistently good food and service for any dining occasion
Steak melted in your mouth. Incredible.
Great food - great service. Our dinner was a celebration of birthday AND finishing cancer treatment. My guy had porterhouse for one and I had rack of lamb. Both were prepared perfectly (we shared.) It was a perfect choice for people like us who are carnivores but who rarely eat beef or lamb at home. We'll be back!
Went forEaster, had a 3:15 reservation and was seated immediately. The 3 of us each ordered steak cooked differently. All 3steaks were cooked as ordered. We had a lovely time. The waiters were wonderful. There was 1 valet Parker who was overwhelmed with cars and yet he was such a pleasant gentleman. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Easter Sunday dinner for two. Pleasant experience, excellent staff, delicious food. Started with the Colossal Shrimp in Cognac sauce appetizer which was flavorful but a bit under-cooked, overpriced and disappointing; (3 jumbo shrimp, at best, swimming in a huge bowl of sauce ungarnished, looked ridiculous). Followed with Caesar salad (Very Good). Mains were a Ribeye Steak, excellently done and flavorful and the Rack of Lamb which turned out to be the star of dinner....8 individual chops cooked to perfection with mint sauce. One of the most delicious Racks I have ever had; A+++. Grilled garlic Asparagus and Lobster Mac and Cheese rounded out the meal. Asparagus was crisp and tender. Mac and Cheese was creamy and excellent, but not enough lobster to warrant the $10 up-charge. For dessert we split a portion of Carrot Cake which was Great! This was not our first visit to Pace's. Would definitely return...but probably steer clear of the specials and add-ons....As I said in the opening...worth the drive. Be Brave!
the food is always amazing. I wish there was a different type of bread other than the garlic bread just plain bread.
We went as 2 couples for our friends engagement. The bar was packed, but we still had great service from the bartender! The waiter and servers were great! The atmosphere was great! We had all been here before but not together. We all loved our sides and apps. 3 of us loved our steaks. My husband didn’t care for his strip steak. He felt the marinade wasn’t at all as described and the cut of his steak wasn’t the best. That is why I gave the food only 4 stars. But, he will still come back no problem. We all love Paces. We have all been to many steak houses. We feel it is a great place for steak dinner and you don’t leave hungry and broke. You get a good solid meal, great service and atmosphere for a fair price. We will definitely be back!
Food was amazing but did not like our table at all. Hated being so close to the entryway and the host just kind of left the menus at the table and ran. I had better service from the valet when I got my car than from the host.
Porterhouse for 2 was terrible. Vein end, undercooked, terrible char taste. Last time going there.
Went for my birthday. Had a drink at the bar. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. The bar itself was a little loud, hard to talk. There was a piano player. The restaurant was the opposite, very comfortable and able to have conversation. The waitstaff was working in teams. Very attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious. You didn’t feel rushed at all. It was a really nice evening.
We went for my wife’s birthday. We started with their special salad which was excellent. I order the Porterhouse for which had a section of it that wasn’t tender. Overall it was good not great. My wife had the seafood platter special. Probably would have been better with a fish other than salmon. The Mac and cheese side was excellent. The mushroom side was OK. We had dessert which was a peanut butter with chocolate cover. Very good but served cold rather than warm.
Every time I go to Paces to celebrate a special occasion, I write it on my opentable reservation. Unfortunately Paces ignores it every time. I may have to start celebrating special occasions at a neighboring steak house that never ignores the message
Great dining experience. The food was great. My only regret was not leaving enough room for dessert! Will definitely be going back.
My husband and I went here to just celebrate life and love, it was our first time and everything was amazing, we will be back
Overall we enjoyed the restaurant, the service , & live music . The food was very good overall, however I ordered my steak well done through and through and it was not ,I had to send back . It was more burnt then well done .
Love Paces !!! Always great the managers and servers are amazing
We had a fabulous birthday dinner for my son and husband. The food was perfect. Our servers Matthew and Matt tended to our every need.
Everything was perfect. Patrick introduced himself and shot off some great specials. The food and service was fantastic. The Pace family runs a great restaurant.
Everything was delicious. We have been there 4 times since our first visit a month ago
This place has gone downhill. It was noisy and we were placed at a table in an awkward spot, almost between two rooms. We shared the porterhouse and it was a bit tough. This restaurant used to be a lot better. It was very expensive and not great.
Was ok nothing special pork chop looked great but had no flavor porterhouse was good but I have had better
We could not of had a better time! The service was impeccable and the food- amazing, delicious!!!! We are going to bring our kids back!!!
Nice, vintage steakhouse. Great experience as always.
Petite filet mignon this time was tough usually is great and I told the waiter but he didn’t do anything. Excellent mac & cheese and creamed spinach and my Husbands ribeye was very good marinated.
Excellent as always. Well worth the experience. We dine here often and enjoy it every time. The food is always prepared to perfection and the service is flawless.
Food was great and enjoyable was a little to loud
Love to the food and waiters knew the stuff will dying out there again
Food was delicious and plentiful. Staff was attentive.
Service was outstanding, food was great the cold apps where great, the potterhouse steak was cooked just right my wife duck was really cooked well
Pace’s had a lot of build up from friends’ of ours saying it was a “great place” and “better than Insignia.” Nevertheless, our experience didn’t really live up to these expectations. I had the Rib-Eye which I was told by both the waiter and friends was the most flavorful steak they had. My wife, the filet mignon because she prefers a softer meat over flavor. We were both a bit disappointed to find that our steaks were not as flavorful or as soft as we had hoped.
The service, however, was pretty great. Although we did ask in advance if they allow infants. We were told that they do, only to find that there was no bathroom with a changing table. Which left my wife with no choice but to change our daughter on a blanket on the floor of the bathroom because the sink didn’t even have a counter.
