The menu varies daily in order to highlight the best in fresh, locally caught fish, farm-raised lobster, Kauai prawns, sea asparagus, seaweed and sea salt produced in Hawaii.
In addition to the extensive wine list, Pa'akai also features a full bar with mixologists crafting a wide variety of martinis and craft cocktails.
Pa'akai is located at Turtle Bay Resort along Oahu's North Shore and is loved by visitors and locals alike.

What an amazing meal, service and experience. Wow.
Chef is amazing!
The ocean view, and service were great! We shared a whole snapper meal that was delicious! It's worth checking out if your staying at Turtle Bay, but so are Roy's and Lei Lei's!
Unfortunately, I have to give a 2 star rating to my most recent experience at Pa'akai. It would've been a 1-star but that night's manager Matt really did try to improve our dismal experience as much as he could. We ordered 5-things, 2 of which we had to send back, and we aren't the kind of people to send things back. We ordered the Caesar salad - ok; escargot - ok; lobster bisque - terrible! We had to send it back; onion soup - ok; and, the mushroom ravioli - also terrible and was sent back. It also took 25 minutes for my husband to get a beer. Matt did send out some clams that were decent to help fill us up - that was a nice gesture. I feel that there wasn't even wait staff for as crowded as the restaurant was that night - this might've contributed to the reason for super long waits for service. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and disappointed with our experience at Pa'akai. Pa'akai afterall is supposed to be Turtle Bay's star restaurant.
Wonderful service! Steaks were perfection. Good wine list. Great kids menu.
Fish was over cooked but prime rib was excellent. Staff was very attentive.
Pretty good food. Good service and it was very busy, seemed like took a while to get food (even appetizers). But service was good and everyone was kind and helpful. I would definitely go there again when we visit.
New Year’s Eve dining so the room was very busy. The food was outstanding. Our server was professional, fun to talk with, and responsive. The entire service team was great. Highly recommended.
I was really looking forward to this meal, but the steak was incredibly undercooked. I asked for medium rare and it came out raw in the center. I had the meat around the edges but couldn’t eat the interior. I would not recommend this for others.
We went to Pa'akai for Christmas dinner. It was excellent, as usual. We had escargot and oysters for appetizers; both were extremely good. The prime rib was prepared perfectly. The ambiance and service were first-rate.
Steak was great! Juicy, tender, cooked to perfection. Salmon with spicy mustard sauce was good but the mustard sauce was kinda overpowering. Lobster bisque was very tasty but a tad too salty for my taste. Brussel sprouts (with honey and nuts, I think?) was different and very good.
Service was good. Smiley hostess and professional waiters.
My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday here and we absolutely loved it! From the quick and friendly service to the tasty food; everything was simply amazing. It was a nice dinner to end our little staycation at the resort.
Great sunset view. Food was very good. Great wine by the glass. I was a little worried about this being at a resort, but nice ambiance. Expensive for a resort location, but paying for the view. Service was excellent!
The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. Fisher and Daniel took excellent care of us. The food was subpar for the cost; over-cooked, but lukewarm? The vanilla brûlée was very good. But I definitely expected more. What they lack in food they make up for with their excellent service and views.
Great food and spectacular sunset view. We had an excellent server who knew how to properly serve items by not reaching across or in front of the diner. How ABSOUTLEY REFRESHING!!! I didn’t catch his name, but he was very professional and refreshing (I think he also spoke portuguese) and put an extra specialness to our dining experience.
Food was pretty good. Server was outstanding. Place could use an interior designer.
We started with ahi sashimi with avocado. It was super-fresh and buttery. We asked for a wine recommendation and our waiter made a suggestion that is now my favorite Chardonnay -Poseidon. We split a whole pink snapper that was cooked perfectly. All that was left were the head and bones. Happily we saved just enough room for dessert!
The restaurant itself is pretty typical of a resort restaurant but the food and service were fabulous. The portion sizes were respectable and the service was very fast. As to be expected from a resort restaurant, the cost was above average but still worth it.
Wow is all I can say! My wife and I were headed into town to a traditional favorite and she said - let's try Turtle Bay - First class (pricing is up there to match) - the opening Gem Baby Cesar Salad and incredible French onion soup set the palate followed by the main of delicious clams (the both was amazing) and the crab crusted ono was to die for! Desert - Why Not! The Chocolate cake was delicious - now I wish I had had room for the Pistachio Cheesecake! Daniel our server was great and attentive with a wonder input on the menu! Great job and the best meal of our trip! Sorry I was so busy eating I did not take photo's but the cheese stringing off the spoon of the French Onion Soup would have been epic!
More than anything, the service was superb! Very attentive and friendly staff. The food was delicious and decadent. We celebrate our anniversary here every year.
Nice and quiet.
Not a lot of vegan options for myself, but our server was very accommodating. My mom and sister enjoyed their meals very much, namely the chicken, lobster bisque and mushroom ravioli. Beautiful restaurant.
This is very much a resort “restaurant”. For the cost of $130/person with wine pairing for a 3 course meal, one would assume (at minimum) high food quality, an elevated menu, and thoughtful and organized presentation of the food and pairing. It was fairly clear the kitchen had microwaved much of the food, as well as left it seasoning-less. The food was stuck in the 90’s (I didn’t come to Turtle Bay in Oahu to eat a wedge salad and a steak w potatoes and asparagus), which I chose after trying their watery “lobster bisque”. The splash of bottom shelf wine came out 15-20 min before each course, we were finished before the course came out. Bright side was the service staff was kind and did top off our wine after we said something about the quality. However, don’t need my water filled after every sip.
I absolutely would not ever recommend this restaurant for thanksgiving dinner, especially at 90.00 a plate!!
it wasn't even real Turkey , It was a rolled, compressed, then sliced,no flavor, taste like rubber. The asparagus was the best part of the meal..a real disappointment.. Other than that ! everything about our stay at Turtle Bay was GREAT. All the employees and staff , big Thumbs up.... only thing I would highly recommend next year "cook a real Turkey"
Great place with an amazing view. The food was absolutely awesome! Highly recommended
Since our first visit 10 years ago, to our most recent visit last night, and every other year in between, Pa’akai has been consistently excellent. It offers both food and service comparable to Alan Wong’s and La Mer. The crab crusted ono was phenomenal, lobster tail superb, clams outstanding, mussels delightful, garlic mashed potatoes heavenly, and the brussel sprouts were delicious! In all, it was another perfect meal at Pa’akai. The manager went above and beyond, and our server was personable and professional. We will be back to our favorite North Shore restaurant, Pa’akai.
Our waiter was fantastic! We had a great view of the sunset and our meal was absolutely fantastic. Thanks!!
This was our first time dining here since they recently launched their new menu. Everything was outstanding! There was such a good variety of options, it was difficult to choose what to order. We ended up starting w/ escargot, followed by the wedge salad. This was my wife's first time to try escargot. Even though she was reluctant to eat "snails", she ended up loving the dish. For main courses, we both shared the New York strip and the rack of lamb. Both dishes were winners, as they were cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The side dishes really complemented our dinners, especially the roasted mushrooms. The chocolate souffle was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner.
The friendly staff really added to the experience. We were greeted w/ a smile by the friendly hostesses as soon as we entered the door. Our server Zara had a very pleasant personality. Both Ephrem and Fisher constantly checked on us, keeping our waters filled and our empty plates cleared. Even the manager stopped by for a quick friendly chat.
This is the best food we've had on the North Shore, and we look forward to returning soon!
Although very expensive, it was the best quality meal I’ve had since moving to the island. The flavors were excellent! I had the crab crusted ono and my husband had the steak and shrimp. Portion sizes were healthy. The Hana maritini was excellent!
Food came out lukewarm. Sides arrived after mains were finished and took multiple follow-ups. Menu items and wine not available. Overall a poor experience and expected far better.
Service was excellent, they did everything the could to make our experience great.
Food was good but not outstanding, the pie at the end did not come out hot and that caused us to leave really underwhelmed. Overall it was good, but if you are price sensitive better to eat elsewhere.
Went here to celebrate my engagement and i must say the restaurant met all my expectations for a romantic dinner. My Fiance loved the outside sitting and restaurant experience. Greeted well as soon as you walk through the door. Our server and the manager took very good care of us. Food presentation and taste was fantastic (i'm a Chopped Champion fanatic) I recommend this restaurants specially to couples.
The food here was excellent. Service was great. Wine was delicious. I had lobster and steak and is was outstanding.
For how expensive it is, the food is mediocre. Basic hotel food stuck in 1982. Wine list is boring. The best part of our meal was the location and ambiance of the beautiful ocean and sunset.
This restaurant was absolutely stunning. The view , the food ( that steak ! ) and the service were outstanding . Definitely a must while visiting the North Shore .
Food was fantastic. We did the chef’s tasting menu and one in our group had the bone-in filet. The wait staff was very good. The ambience was ok. I thought we would have more of an ocean view from the images online which was not the case. Don’t go there if you want a cool romantic spot with ocean views. It is part of a resort so there were a lot of kids eating there as well. I would go there again because the food was delicious.
Outstanding meal in a beautiful setting. We shared the 3 lb Opakapaka (Hawaiian Pink Snapper) and it was cooked to perfection and delicious. It could conceivably feed up to 4 people so given that is actually a good value. It came with plenty of veggies and sweet potato mash. Service was impeccable and we caught an amazing sunset. Finally, pre-order the soufflé for dessert and enjoy with their delicious French press coffee. Will return when we can!
Excellent service. Difficult to get reservations for a party of ten but Pa’akai delivered. Half of our party got stuck in traffic on their way to North Shore, but the establishment held our table till everyone arrived. Everyone enjoyed their meal including the double chocolate soufflé. If staying at The Turtle Bay Resort, don’t hesitate to book a table at this joint. Cheers.
