The menu varies daily in order to highlight the best in fresh, locally caught fish, farm-raised lobster, Kauai prawns, sea asparagus, seaweed and sea salt produced in Hawaii.
In addition to the extensive wine list, Pa'akai also features a full bar with mixologists crafting a wide variety of martinis and craft cocktails.
Pa'akai is located at Turtle Bay Resort along Oahu's North Shore and is loved by visitors and locals alike.

Service was amazing and food was delicious! My husband and I shared a beautiful bottle of J Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir with the pumpkin ravioli and a perfectly cooked filet!
The salmon and potatoes were phenomenal! We also really enjoyed sitting outside and had a lovely view and got to listen to live music. Highly recommend.
We have eaten at Pa'akai several times, as we live 3 miles down Kam hwy. This was a new menu for us
and we thought it was terrific. The food was excellent and the prices reasonble. We'll be back.
One of the greatest places we have ever eaten at. The staff is attentive and great!!!
Came here for a romantic weekend and will definitely be back! Here’s the quick and dirty!
Service: staff is very attentive and accommodating, the hostess ensured to ask if this was for a special occasion and the server was very gracious, wishing us well in our special day and gave us a drink and appetizer in the house!
Food: we ordered the escargot which comes with puff pastry (and was totally delicious) and the Caesar salad which was nicely dressed w/tender greens, we were given complimentary Parmesan bread and ahi taretare which was good, but would have been better if served w/some crostini because it needed a little texture. Entrees: 16 oz ribeye, filet/lobster surf and turf and Brussels sprouts. Ribeye was delicious and portion was huge! Filet was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the lobster was very sweet and served with roasted garlic, roasted tomato and lemon. The Brussels sprouts have a subtle maple flavor and macadamia nut for crunch. All delicious! For dessert we ordered the vanilla creme brûlée which was silky and executed so well!
The only complaint I have is the ambiance of the restaurant I didn’t really love. Great beach views, however it’s already a small space and we were on the lower level of the restaurant and were slightly crowded near the emergency exit and another table. It was weird hearing ALL the other party’s conversations during our dinner.
All in all, delicious food at a beautiful resort on the north shore, will be back again!
Amazing food and service!
Staying at the resort. A bit “gun shy” after a much less than satisfying dinner at “Roy’s”. This eatery more than made up for it. Nice menu, terrific wine list, and friendly waitstaff.
We ate here for the last night of our vacation. The raw and cold seafood tower was amazing! The staff are completely attentive and want you to have the best experience ever. They are perfect at this!
Everything was perfect. One of The Best dishes i ever Had. The Blue Crab. Also The waiter The chef everytbody very kind.
We actually ate at Pa'akai a couple of times during our stay on the North Shore. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean and a very nice ambiance. The service was terrific- everyone was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I both ordered the crab encrusted fresh catch (Monchong) . We also ordered the roasted brussel sprouts, roasted mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Everything was fantastic, and we had plenty of food. We loved it so much we went back again for dinner a few days later. Excellent. Will definitely return again!
Excellent restaurant! I've been to Hawai'i numerous times and haven't found a really great restaurant until this time @ Turtle Bay's Pa'akai.
Ambience, service and fine-tasting food!
Well-recommended...would certainly return.
Just Awesome! We had a business meal here and everybody was extremely pleased.
Server was very professional and knowledgeable!
We came in to try the fairly new menu
The service from Mike was excellent.
The food fell short
We tried Raw Oysters and there were 2 types
One was excellent and one was ok for the price
French Onion Soup was nothing spectacular considering the price
Ceaser Salad was very good a bit heavy on the dressing
Salmon was good
Crab Crusted Monchong was just ok with the Sauce extremely Sweet and lacking a Miso taste again way off from price point
Dessert was just ok the Pistachio Cheesecake
We were looking forward to one of the Chocolate Desserts but were steered away by Mike
The bottlle of wine a Pinot Grigio was the best part of the meal and very fair priced
We plan on trying again
The Broiled Oysters,Rack of Lamb and some other things sound good
Nice place, good food, and the best view for sunset dining.
What an amazing meal, service and experience. Wow.
Chef is amazing!
Excellent service and food. Photo worthy presentations with delicious taste.
The ocean view, and service were great! We shared a whole snapper meal that was delicious! It's worth checking out if your staying at Turtle Bay, but so are Roy's and Lei Lei's!
Unfortunately, I have to give a 2 star rating to my most recent experience at Pa'akai. It would've been a 1-star but that night's manager Matt really did try to improve our dismal experience as much as he could. We ordered 5-things, 2 of which we had to send back, and we aren't the kind of people to send things back. We ordered the Caesar salad - ok; escargot - ok; lobster bisque - terrible! We had to send it back; onion soup - ok; and, the mushroom ravioli - also terrible and was sent back. It also took 25 minutes for my husband to get a beer. Matt did send out some clams that were decent to help fill us up - that was a nice gesture. I feel that there wasn't even wait staff for as crowded as the restaurant was that night - this might've contributed to the reason for super long waits for service. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and disappointed with our experience at Pa'akai. Pa'akai afterall is supposed to be Turtle Bay's star restaurant.
Wonderful service! Steaks were perfection. Good wine list. Great kids menu.
Fish was over cooked but prime rib was excellent. Staff was very attentive.
Pretty good food. Good service and it was very busy, seemed like took a while to get food (even appetizers). But service was good and everyone was kind and helpful. I would definitely go there again when we visit.
New Year’s Eve dining so the room was very busy. The food was outstanding. Our server was professional, fun to talk with, and responsive. The entire service team was great. Highly recommended.
I was really looking forward to this meal, but the steak was incredibly undercooked. I asked for medium rare and it came out raw in the center. I had the meat around the edges but couldn’t eat the interior. I would not recommend this for others.
We went to Pa'akai for Christmas dinner. It was excellent, as usual. We had escargot and oysters for appetizers; both were extremely good. The prime rib was prepared perfectly. The ambiance and service were first-rate.
Steak was great! Juicy, tender, cooked to perfection. Salmon with spicy mustard sauce was good but the mustard sauce was kinda overpowering. Lobster bisque was very tasty but a tad too salty for my taste. Brussel sprouts (with honey and nuts, I think?) was different and very good.
Service was good. Smiley hostess and professional waiters.
My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday here and we absolutely loved it! From the quick and friendly service to the tasty food; everything was simply amazing. It was a nice dinner to end our little staycation at the resort.
Great sunset view. Food was very good. Great wine by the glass. I was a little worried about this being at a resort, but nice ambiance. Expensive for a resort location, but paying for the view. Service was excellent!
The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. Fisher and Daniel took excellent care of us. The food was subpar for the cost; over-cooked, but lukewarm? The vanilla brûlée was very good. But I definitely expected more. What they lack in food they make up for with their excellent service and views.
Great food and spectacular sunset view. We had an excellent server who knew how to properly serve items by not reaching across or in front of the diner. How ABSOUTLEY REFRESHING!!! I didn’t catch his name, but he was very professional and refreshing (I think he also spoke portuguese) and put an extra specialness to our dining experience.
Food was pretty good. Server was outstanding. Place could use an interior designer.
We started with ahi sashimi with avocado. It was super-fresh and buttery. We asked for a wine recommendation and our waiter made a suggestion that is now my favorite Chardonnay -Poseidon. We split a whole pink snapper that was cooked perfectly. All that was left were the head and bones. Happily we saved just enough room for dessert!
The restaurant itself is pretty typical of a resort restaurant but the food and service were fabulous. The portion sizes were respectable and the service was very fast. As to be expected from a resort restaurant, the cost was above average but still worth it.
Wow is all I can say! My wife and I were headed into town to a traditional favorite and she said - let's try Turtle Bay - First class (pricing is up there to match) - the opening Gem Baby Cesar Salad and incredible French onion soup set the palate followed by the main of delicious clams (the both was amazing) and the crab crusted ono was to die for! Desert - Why Not! The Chocolate cake was delicious - now I wish I had had room for the Pistachio Cheesecake! Daniel our server was great and attentive with a wonder input on the menu! Great job and the best meal of our trip! Sorry I was so busy eating I did not take photo's but the cheese stringing off the spoon of the French Onion Soup would have been epic!
More than anything, the service was superb! Very attentive and friendly staff. The food was delicious and decadent. We celebrate our anniversary here every year.
Nice and quiet.
Not a lot of vegan options for myself, but our server was very accommodating. My mom and sister enjoyed their meals very much, namely the chicken, lobster bisque and mushroom ravioli. Beautiful restaurant.
This is very much a resort “restaurant”. For the cost of $130/person with wine pairing for a 3 course meal, one would assume (at minimum) high food quality, an elevated menu, and thoughtful and organized presentation of the food and pairing. It was fairly clear the kitchen had microwaved much of the food, as well as left it seasoning-less. The food was stuck in the 90’s (I didn’t come to Turtle Bay in Oahu to eat a wedge salad and a steak w potatoes and asparagus), which I chose after trying their watery “lobster bisque”. The splash of bottom shelf wine came out 15-20 min before each course, we were finished before the course came out. Bright side was the service staff was kind and did top off our wine after we said something about the quality. However, don’t need my water filled after every sip.
