p2b bistro & bar Ratings and Reviews
They couldn't honor our reservation. When we asked for a newly cleared table, they sat down a walkin. Then we asked for another empty table, they advised us that it was reserved. It was almost like they didn't care that they failed to honour our reservation.
We went to P2B to try somewhere different for Dine Out Vancouver. We were both very happy with our menu selections and enjoyed our wine (we decided to skip the wine pairings). The waiting staff were very efficient and happy to chat and give advice, which was great
This is a bar/restaurant inside of a hotel, and feels as such. We got dressed up, being from out of town, and realized when we arrived, this was more of a pub-like experience than anything else. Our waiter was awesome, but the food was okay; definitely not anything special.
My wife and I went to P2b for her 30th birthday. This restaurant is in the lobby of the Pinnacle harbourfront hotel. The back drop is a tall wall of windows that show the waterfront and downtown area. The service was great, we were seated right away and our server was very attentive with our needs from start to finish. The food is delicious, local and sustainable. The drinks are also well mixed and big. All together it was an amazing dinner and luckily we were staying at the hotel so we could just take an elevator up.
Service was slow and the waiter forgot several parts of our order. Also, we had several questions and he didn't know the menu all that well. Which, fair enough as it was new, however, he wandered off to ask questions and took ages or didn't come back at all until he was delivering something to our table or we waved him down.
The restaurant was pretty empty, so there didn't seem to be any reason why that took so long.
On the flipside, my three-year-old nephew was with us and he made sure that me nephew's order went in right away and came out in a timely fashion.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant, and gave it a try using Entertainment Book coupons. It was fantastic!!! It's very difficult to find a place these days that doesn't have a loud atmosphere to enjoy a conversation with friends. I don't recall ANY music playing at all, even as background. We all loved that and wouldn't complain a bit for a lovely, relaxing ambiance. We'll definitely be going back! Thank you for great service to our waiter Trevor. Cheers!
This was a very average dining experience in a city with Great restaurants. Nothing was wrong but it was all quite bland. I wish I knew that ahead of time. I wanted to have a special Vancouver experience with the group we were out with but we could have been in any hotel restaurant anywhere.
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday. He had halibut which he said melted in his mouth. I had the scallops and shrimps. They were done to perfection! I got to substitute my risotto for plain rice for no cost. Daniel our waiter was a gem! Very attractive and knew his job very well! My lemon tart though was nothing special. My boyfriend had a Stanley Park beer I believe and it was very smooth. Not to pricy but this is Vancouver. Definitely would tell people to go there. There was no live band which was nice because when they have one it's extremely loud.
The rib eye is to die for! The cut is perfect and the fat just melted in my mouth. Food is excellent!!
Service however was very slow. Event tho I made reservation, it took 22 minutes for my gf and myself to be sat down. We ordered right away including the drinks and the entree but the drink which was 2 strawberry margaritas took as much time as the food! if the service was as good as the food, I would have given this place a perfect score however at it stand, it's 3.5/5.
We picked it because it had tables available last minute on a Saturday night, and the menu had items everyone could enjoy. The food was perfectly fine; not the best I've ever eaten but not disappointing. The dining room is a nice airy space with a view of Coal Harbour between buildings. Service was friendly and helpful.
