Parallel Seventeen is an American Asian restaurant that specializes in breakfast and brunch. Start your day off with a delicious plate of French toast that is stuffed with blueberries, walnuts and ricotta with a corn flake crust and deep fried. Vegetarians will delight in the Fritto Misto, which is a beer battered zucchini and cauliflower dish served with tomatoes, Thai basil and Harissa salt. P17 also serves more traditional brunch dishes such as biscuits and gravy, omelets and salmon Benedict. For a more Asian twist, P17 also serves Saigon Crepe filled with bean sprouts, sautéed mushrooms, pickled vegetables and lemongrass chicken. Pork bellies were excellent and should have ordered more. Great flavors. Duck main course was a gorgeous plate and tasted fabulous! Perfect texture on the skin and the squash was great. Definitely order that one again. The Lamb was average or below. Red sauce was like Ragu and nothing worth going out to eat. Service was a little slow despite not many people there so ran out of time for dessert. May come back but lots of choices in the area. Wine had residue in bottom of the glass and had to be returned. They took care of it and provided a better full glass.

It was a wonderful spot for our get together, two hours of chatting, good food and drinks was well suited for us. Overall was a nice place. Still hungry after 1 hour of eating, so ordered 3 more entrees, though we actually over ordered, so the last dish was almost left untouched.

Very cute spot. We went on a Friday evening and there were maybe 3 other couples there, so it's a great place to go if you want to *look* like you planned a great evening but actually made the reservations a few hours earlier (or not at all). The waiter was very friendly and the drinks were delicious. Definitely get the Brussels sprouts!

The menu is very interesting and unique. Everyone was pleased with their order and we each ordered different items.
The wait staff and service were attentive.
Due to the interior construction, tends to be noisy!

First time at P17. Celebrating our son's new job. Food was delishous and our server Patrick was very helpful in suggesting menu options as well as cocktails. Will definitely return soon.

Ok food- I wouldn't go back though. They were out of the dish my friend and I wanted first thing in the morning. Not sure how that happens- and food was not delicious. service was excellent though

The experience was so poor. The waiter was awful, he let us choose before we knew a few items were not available. We had to change our order on the spot. The eggs were so bad I felt like I could have had better eggs at McDonald's. A friend of mine ate there a hour later there and she told me she had the special - we were never told about them. I feel like having lived in Denver 15 months and being an avid foodie, I love using Eater Denver, Westword, and 5280 for food advice - P17 is easily the worst food experience I've had in Denver.

The food was excellent and we enjoyed spring rolls and some soups. We were really happy with the presentation and tastes. Unfortunately the mix drink we ordered was basically an $8 cup of ice. We'd go back, but would probably order beer or wine instead.

Brian was our server & was very attentive & made great suggestions on cocktails, wine & food selections. We ordered brussel sprout, duck tacos, mahi & more duck. Everything was very good & we'll return to P17!

We enjoyed our experience very much. We both had some kind of soup which was perfect for a late fall lunch. The cocktails were innovative and delicious. We shared the brussel sprouts which are not to be missed. Our early arrival at 11:15 am allowed us to see the restaurant without many other people and get to know our servers. Great location too!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The menu is inventive and constantly changes. The ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. One of our favorite things to do is order multiple small plates so we can sample different things. They also have a lovely selection of Asian soups that feed the soul as well as the tummy! Another wonderful feature is the selection of Gluten Free foods they offer. My husband has Celiac and cannot have anything containing gluten. The servers are all excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu and food preparation. They understand food allergy as well as just plain good food and service.

My partner and I had a lovely brunch at P17. The food was very high quality, and we enjoyed the bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary bar. The setting was intimate and cozy yet modern, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. My only wish is for more vegetarian options on the menu. We'd love to try lunch or dinner sometime, but I'm honestly not sure what I'd get as a vegetarian. As for meat eaters, you will not be disappointed! Also, definitely make a reservation, particularly if you'll be dining with a group, as the restaurant is small.

We came in on the Sunday after Halloween at 9:45. Our waitress seemed a little out of it - she knocked over a number of things and we ended up cleaning them up, but we just assumed it was an off day for her. Still, there was no one else to support her so when we needed something (water, coffee refills, etc) it took a long time to get them.
Food was solid. I got the One Eyed Franklin and the puff pastry was a bit burnt on the bottom, so I took that layer off. The brussel sprouts were quite good. The beignets were very doughy - I've had better.

I didn't care for the vinyl top tables. Wendy's has nicer. Not at this price level.
Needs table cloths and candles to add some warmth or something.

Waiter brought me a 2nd glass of wine when I didn't order it. Food was Ok to good,
but something lacking in the ambience. It was a slow Saturday night and
it was kind of cold and uninviting.

As devotees of Mary Nguyen's Olive & Finch, we had high hopes for her P17. It's been an Uptown staple for ten years, so we figured we'd be pleased. Unfortunately, we were let down. We ordered two popular Happy Hour appetizers—the duck confit tacos and the meatballs—and two mains—the pork flatiron and the ribeye. The tacos were the definite stars of the meal, but everything else was a disappointment. The meatballs and pork flatiron both came to the table lukewarm, and the tacos and ribeye were only slightly warmer. The meatballs had little flavor, and the cheddar grits they sat on were stiff and absent any real taste of cheddar. The chimichurri accompanying the pork flatiron was a great touch, as was the white bean succotash, but the pork itself was a bit dry and frankly boring. Worst, however, was the ribeye: it had a beautiful sear but was a rubbery, chewy mess. The soy butter made it more enjoyable, but we honestly gave up on the steak about halfway through. The kale "salad" on the side consisted of quite a few stems and added nothing to the meal.

Chose P17 because of the GF recommendation. There are plenty of items on the menu that are gluten free. But 3/4 of us have no food limitations and we also were very pleased with the menu. Delicious appetizers. Wide range of mains. Our table had steak, trout, pasta and crepe. Everyone seemed happy with their choices. The areas that P17 was weak include desserts and service. The dessert menu is limited and not very exciting so we opted out. The service seemed to need to work on their timing , not the kitchens timing, but when the server came to the table, refill water etc.

We've been going to P17 for a long time but recently have been drawn to all the new restaurants in our neighborhood. Recently we were unable to get into any restaurant we tried and were happy to find that we could still get into P17. Great variety of small plates, salads and noodle bowls--we never got to the main courses. Good variety of draft beers as well for a place that's not a full on brew pub. Everything was great and we were happy to be back.

There are just a couple of items which vegetarians can enjoy now. It's too bad about all of the menu changes over the past ten years. There used to be wonderful vegetable Pho and other vegetarian/vegan options, but now a favorite spot for us in our very neighborhood has less choices than ever.

Had not been for a year and the new menu is so much better. Went for happy hour and loved the burgers and the pork buns. Did not give it 5 stars as it was too loud. Will definitely be back but will try to sit outside next time - it was raining when we were there.

We celebrated our anniversary and had a great time at P17.
Standout dishes were the Brussel Sprouts, Pork Flatiron, Trout and Chocolate Pot De Creme.
Our server was knowledgeable and friendly.
We will certainly come back. We have not tried any of the Asian dishes on the menu and we are dying to try those next time.

Four of us met for a casual, healthy meal last Saturday. It was really delightful! Our waiter accommodated our table switches as the storm moved in (and we ultimately moved inside). The food was terrific; I am getting tired of the Brussel sprout craze but this was amazing!! Thanks to all.

We had brunch on the outdoor patio Saturday afternoon. We loved everything we ordered: bottomless mimosa and sangria, brioche French toast, and the burger and fries. The service was excellent, helpful but not intrusive. The outdoor space was great - the outdoor heaters were wonderful at first when it was just a little chilly. Lovely meal overall.

We have eaten here twice now, and it's really a solid choice. The Vietnamese dishes taste authentic but modern. The Brussel sprouts are delicious as is the crepe. The drinks are good, including their fruit infused alcohols, and the service is friendly and attentive (although we've gone on weekdays during lunch, and sat up at the bar both times). If you like Vietnamese food, and looking for more than your average pho house, it's definitely worth a stop. As long as it doesn't disappoint, we will probably be back every time we are in Denver.

We were looking for someplace to meet friends for brunch and one of them recommended P17. What a great choice! The menu is truly eclectic with really unique offerings., and we had a hard time deciding what to order. Everything we had was delicious, and we will definitely go back to try more dishes. Our friends had been there for lunch and dinner before, and said the brunch was the best meal so far. And if you like liquid libations with your first meal of the day, they have a great selection, including several varieties of bottomless mimosas, sangrias, and bloody marys. We will be going back for sure!

I'd recommend reservations; even with ours, we had to wait for a table.

I've been to P-17 about 4 times in the past 6 weeks, and just can't get enough of it. Their menu is wonderful, and with so much variety as well. Go with friends and order many of the small plates -- serving size is still generous and every dish is a winner. (I can't say enough about the Brussels sprouts, except to say "order them!!!")

The menu at P17 has changed several times over the past couple of years. It is now impossible to order anything resembling vegetarian. No more vegetable Pho which has been a mainstay for years for us. We lie three blocks away - often eating here twice a month or more often; especially when I meet professional colleagues and I always suggest P17. . There were no vegetable summer rolls, no vegetable pho, and I asked for the noodle bowl (without chicken) and it was terrible, just lackluster with no flavor.

Wow-how could I have missed this place for nine years? The service is friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The food is original but accessible. We had the duck tacos appetizer, and it was delicious. The lettuce wraps had a hint of adobo mixed with Asian flavors-they were delish. I had the crepes entree, and they were wonderful. Drinks were fun too. Watermelon juice with citrus and a hint of jalpeno was not too spicy, the jalapeno just warmed it up and made a nice counterpoint to the watermelon sweetness. We sat outside on the Franklin street side, which was not too noisy. My only regret was that I did not have room for dessert. At the server's suggestion we stopped by their partner shop down the street, Olive and Finch, and got a lemon tart to enjoy later. It was also terrific-lots of genuine lemon flavor in a crust that was crispy but tender.
