Well they're closed but you missed one hell of a last day party!!!
I would but it’s closed. June 30th was its last day of business
It was awesome!
Sad to see you go!
Great dinner and service was great... Too bad this place is planning to close.
It was great. We were immediately greeted by the server and she knew who we were by our reservations without us actually saying we had one. It was a great touch. The service was a bit slow which was odd being that it wasn't busy. But other than that, the food and ambiance was great!
We went for Father's day dinner. Everything was very tasty, and portions are more than generous. It was kind of empty the entire time we were there, and the bartender actually acted as our server. My only complaint is with the high volume of the music.
Great experience! Came here for Father’s day as a family for brunch, so fun doing bottomless brunch so we got to try so many different menu items. They had a wonderful live singer that added to the whole experience. We love Oz! Thanks for making our day great 😁
Despite restaurant being relatively empty the ordering process was slow and required us to repeat ourselves multiple times. Our appetizer was incomplete but then strangely showed up again in full as we we leaving. The waitress was under trained with basic social graces and her attitude was not very pleasant to deal with. She did comp us a bottle of wine that we ordered. It was so bad we couldn’t drink it. The food was over salty and left us all feeling sick. There are some gf options that we managed to find our way through but overall we found the food to be too rich. A step up in service, basic etiquette and restaurant server knowledge would have gone a long way.
Happy hour with friends
We went for brunch and while I've been there before at this time, the service this time was just a little slow. Some of the food we ordered took longer than normal and our server would take a while to come back to the table but he was very nice. I would definitely still go back because the food is good and brunch is a great deal!
They bring out the champagne bottles and pitcher of OJ and you make the mimosas yourself is the best! Food is great too! I recommend this place to everyone.
Good food, great view, great customer services, all around thumbs up!
The thing that sets Oz apart is the exotic menu, which is where we ordered from. The Emu was delicious, Kangaroo is tough as expected, an Camel is a fatty, oiling tasting meat. If It wasn't for the exotic menu this restaurant would be another over priced glorified Mcdonald's with it's "American Fare" that's parasitic in the DC Metro Area. Every other restaurant is someone shoving meat patties at you and calling it unique. Oz is okay, the exotic menu is a treat, but I've tried it and I have no plan to return.
I think his name was Dillon (Australian guy) was amazing. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and suggested small plates pairings. The rest of the wait staff was friendly as well. Food was good. Lamb chops were the hit of the night.
Apparently small means normal size in Australia because the small plates were big enough to be entree portions...so...caution!
Loved the 36 unlimited small plate deal. every seafood dish was delicious
The staff is very accommodating and friendly, the food is tasty and beautifully presented.
Wonderful restaurant and the food was good. The service was good but could be a little better. Service was not very tending to our request and missed some of the things we asked for. Overall I could recommend but would suggest that the server pay a little more attention to customers needs. Oh and the drinks are good.
I always have a great experience at Oz. The staff is very attentive & the food is delicious! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!
The food was awesome. Service was great. I will return and being friends.
We went for Mother's Day brunch. All of the food was delicious! Most of the portion sizes were very generous with the exception of the ricotta pancakes. For $13 we got two small pancakes cut in half and displayed as 4 half pancakes with some berries. It was not even enough for my six-year-old. That was very disappointing. That dish portion size did not match any of the other dishes we got! It's important to know we did not do the bottomless brunch we each ordered ala carte.
Oz looked exciting and offered exotic meats on the menu - from camel to emu to kangaroo - but fell short on preparation and service. The alligator sausage and venison sliders were wonderful, the kangaroo slider less so. Chorizo hash was lackluster, burrata salad, Caesar salad and calamari appetizers were all mediocre at best. Desserts (ice cream sandwich and a banana pudding) were confusing and sloppy in their presentation. Service staff were friendly but didn’t know the difference between Pinot Noir (which was ordered) and Pinot Gris (which was delivered to the table - twice!). Hostess also seated us while she was on the phone. Can’t recommend it when there are so many clearer options in the vicinity.
Fun stop for Friday evening people watching and then walk around Clarendon
My friends and I have always loved Oz for brunch. But this time was not our best experience. We came for the 2hr unlimited brunch. Our reservation was at 2:30 we didn’t get seated till 3 and we were told the kitchen was closed at 4. We were given our last drinks at 4:15 because they had a private event coming in at 5. Was definitely not our best time there and disappointed in the lack of consideration for our time and money.
Can’t say I was pleased with the food. Seemed very mediocre for a 35 dollar bottomless deal. Some of the plates were brought to us cold and bland. The avocado toast was lackluster as best. I guess the good food is not on the brunch deal because I can do a better job in my kitchen. Our server however was very kind and accommodating. The Orange juice and the champagne was decent. There are better options for brunch in Arlington.
Birthday brunch for 10 was great!
Great! Food was great.
Had an amazing time, everything was almost perfect except for the shrimp, they were severely overcooked. Our server Kali was amazing though and we didn't have to ask for anything. The $36 small plate deal is AMAZING!
The food was amazing and flavorful, we went with our kids and weren't sure it would be a good idea. They were super accommodating to our family and had amazing kids food for a great value! The grown up food was so good, my husband already wants to go back, but we are out of state!
Great food and will recommend to others to try. The patio was the perfect location for our event.
The food was okay. I was more disappointed in the kitchen service. For some reason, I had to order the pancake 4 times over 40 minutes before it actually came. I loved the Unlimited brunch and very reasonable drink prices. I'd return to dine outside.
Unique and interesting place with fun twists on breakfast! I’ve never seen a better brunch deal!
I had a wonderful time here. The noise was normal conversation. The food was excellent. The service matched along. The food came out quick and tasty. I recommend this as a great brunch of all groups.
I definitely recommend Oz Restaurant for brunch! The food was great and the mimosas were delicious! I'm returning to Oz Restaurant soon.
Oz was one of our favorite go-to restaurants until this last experience. We arrived with a group for brunch, we had reservations, and there was a DJ playing extremely loud music. They were going to seat us next to the DJ, and since we would have liked to talk with our friends during brunch, we asked for a seat away from the music. They put us at a different table but the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk--despite asking them to turn down the music multiple times. On top of that only about half of the food we ordered actually arrived, and even then we had to keep reminding our waiter to bring our food. I had to wait 45 minutes for my first dish to arrive. Mind you--this is a two hour bottomless brunch. Also we were next to the back door where cigarette smoke kept wafting in.
We chose Oz because we have only had great experiences before, and we talked the restaurant up to our friends--two other couples that actually drove in from different cities to celebrate my husband's birthday--and we were devastated that this experience was so awful. We really wanted this to be fun and special and we were shocked that this experience was so bad. And--on top of all that, they had the audacity to charge us a mandatory 20% gratuity for the terrible service and lack of food we received--not only including excessive wait times for food but also almost never refilling our water glasses despite being asked repeatedly. When they charged us a mandatory 20% tip it was like a slap in the face. And we all thought--no wonder they didn't care about bringing us our food on time, or bringing water, or anything else--the waiters KNEW they would charge us a mandatory 20% tip--so they didn't care about making us a priority. I always tip at least 20%, but being mandated to pay that amount for the abysmal experience we had is unacceptable.
Amazing experience!! Loved the DJ
I've eaten here several times with a large group and food was great. This time it was horrible. "Left over spaghetti" had dried noodles like it was from last night with a slap of sauce. Salad greens were brown & wilted barely any dressing, beignets were burnt and sloppily put together. The only good thing was the mimosas. Place has gone downhill. I hate to write this review because the chef had always been awesome. Not sure what has happened to this place. Huge disappointment. If I could rate it with no stars I would.
Three of us ate at Oz’s for brunch to celebrate a birthday and we loved it! There was live music, plenty of ambiance, great service, good food and fabulous drinks. Their espresso martini was delicious
Very nice atmosphere. We were there at 5:30 on Saturday evening. Sample sliders were not good but all other items were VERY good...chimichurri shrimp, mussels, scallops, lamb pie!!!!
Really enjoyed the all you can eat small plate deal. Innovative takes on several. All were good. Server Matt? Was great. Will go back next time I’m in Arlington.
