New COVID restrictions eliminated the buffet. Understandable. But the menu was quite limited and service was less than attentive.

We ate outdoors. The meal was delicious (recommend the pork chops) and served to our specifications. The services was a little slow at first to get our wine order but after our meal order was taken it was served in a reasonable time. Although when we ordered additional glasses of wine there was a delay in receiving them each time. Our waiter was attentive to us as he kept checking in on us.

Staff were over the top - food and drinks great and outdoor seating great. Started off Rocky as I put in reservations that outdoor was a must (2 weeks in advance) shoes up they told me a hour wait... Someone they worked some magic and got us seated in 15 mins

We began our Anniversary dinner with champagne from the house. Then we had appetizers which were as good as they were known for. Our main course was juicy and tasty as the way a ribeye steak has to be. Great service btw. We had such an excellent dinner.

We had dined in the past and were celebrating a birthday. We made reservations for 5 for 5:30PM when they opened. Our primary reason was ambiance, water and sunset view and food. When we were seated at conference type table on the 2nd tier, we asked to be seated in the lower level by the windows (that is why me made early reservations.). The hostess said they were not seating people on the lower level. Yet, they did seat diners there later. Additionally the AC vent over our table had all of us cold during dinner. The meals were fine but not impressive for the price. Our waiter was very good and tried to accommodate us. Very disappointed - all the reasons we chose Oystercatchers were negatives instead of positive. The next day for lunch we dined at Seasons 52 - it has no view but everything was awesome - food, service, ambiance. It made us realize even more how disappointing Oystercatchers was.

We had a really nice dinner. We had to eat inside because of the weather but it was quiet and comfortable. Everything was fabulous. The oysters were delicious. The service was topnotch... as usual. I wish it was closer to where we live.

It went good until I had to order. In my opinion the menu was “iffy”at best in the sense of not being able to understand how the food was served. I ordered the grand seafood tower. I was under the impression it was served steamed in its entirety. There was no price next to it. It simply said “market price” I ordered it in the hopes it was hot but here again the menu didn’t specify. So I paid 250$ for just my meal that wasn’t what I wanted. But I chalked it up to a lesson learned. After a night of wondering how I could pay so much for something I didn’t want finally subsided I figured I’d let you know my thought. I hope they help in your future menu

The prices of the food do not match the quality of the meals. You can get a better quality and quantity of food at Bern’s Steakhouse for the same price. Not worth the price.

Incredible service, beautiful atmosphere, and some of the best food and drinks I've ever had. Definitely try the blueberry margarita with house-made blueberry sauce, you won't regret it! This was our first visit and now it will become a staple date night spot. We highly recommend the fresh Florida grouper!

We were the first table, it was awkwardly silent. They had forgotten to start the music. Once that was on it helped. The server got our order incorrect. Maybe they don’t have their servers write down orders, but they definitely should. Food was alright

We initially set inside but was really cold and cold air flowing over our table then we moved outside which was much nicer. They have fans, citronella torches, etc so never had bugs or birds flying around.

Such a disappointing experience. I remember coming to OC when it was this really grand, lavish dining experience. Today was far from that. We celebrated my mother’s birthday here for brunch this morning. I understand their famed Sunday buffet is no more because of covid. Not a problem at all. In fact I prefer a seated meal.

The restaurant still has a killer view. And it looks like the main dining area is still quite nice. But we were given a weird, hobbled round table in the corner of this makeshift bar/server bus station in a wing of the restaurant. I knew I should have spoken up and changed tables. I wish I had.

The room was loud with bright fluorescent lights peering down. The chairs were old and sad. I read a review before deciding to write my own that compared the dining ambiance to that of a hospital cafeteria. I’d say that is an excellent description. A hospital cafeteria with a decent ocean view {if you are seated facing the windows; otherwise you are staring at a flimsy IKEA room divider that got thrown up to shield your eyes from the wait staff schelping food scraps in a waist basket}. Our ears were not so lucky.

But perhaps the most disappointing part of it all was the food. It was so boring. So basic. So bad. And so pricey. The Bloody Mary was straight V8 with nothing added. Not even sure if there was vodka? The mimosa? Uninspired. The charcuterie board? Ridiculous (in a lack luster way). The avocado toast? Well, my toast was burnt. The avocado tasted like those single serve guacamole packets you get with pretzel chips at an airport. Also, the menu said it was served with smoked salmon. Mine came with two small previously frozen shrimp. The tacos? My husband said it tasted like something from a mall food court. The sushi? Meh. The Nutella pancake? $28 dollars does not justify one {singular} pancake with a ramekin of Nutella.

My mom was happy. She didn’t seem to notice the wallpaper peeling off the bathroom walls. But I did. And it made me so sad.

Although I’m saddened that the pandemic forced restaurants to abandon the traditional Sunday Brunch, Oystercatchers provided a wonderful and delicious alternative. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and immediately shown our window table. As always, our server Diane, greeted us with a big smile (easy to tell even through her mask) providing eximious service and made our anniversary extra special. Thank you Oystercatchers, you still the best!!!

Food was phenomenal but the drinks need a little help. I ordered a Vodka Mule and it was the worse I have ever tasted. Also, my husband's utensils were taken away after the appetizer by the cleaning man and he waited more than 10 minutes for the waiter to come to the table.

I took my husband here for his birthday & wow! We loved everything about it. The food was delicious, down to the bread they brought out. The oysters were delicious, the soup was great & the chocolate cake was to die for. Our server was awesome & made us feel very welcomed. If you’re looking to splurge for a great dinner, this place is a must! Can’t wait to go back!

Food could have been better and servings bigger for price paid. I ordered the grilled seafood trio. It had a lobster tail, 1 scallop and 2 shrimp. It was served on a huge bed of wild rice with pieces of squash and zucchini.

We were well taken care of. I asked for a window and they sat us in a beautiful space. The calamari are very good, the wine, a bit expensive but wonderful. The server was attentive and very helpful, even had a few jokes.
The only drawback, it's super cold inside...I've been to this restaurant several times and I have to brink a THICK jacket because it's freezing, bu you may like that.
Worth trying

We went for our 21st wedding anniversary. Our server (Mike) was awesome. It was one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. Appetizers (Oysters) could have been better. But, everything else was spot on. Seafood Trio, Ribeye, Key Lime Pie and Sticky Date Pudding!! Thank you, Mike for helping make this a special night for my wife and I. We'll be back soon.
