Fresh food, reasonable prices. Best lobster roll I ever had. Poke poke was fabulous. My waiter knew his menu and suggested what kind of oysters we should try and it was delicious. The condiments that came with the raw oysters were a great combo.
Our service was fantastic. The food is always delicious at Oyster Bah!
Bang Bang shrimp was yummy; light and fresh. The jalapeno and corn hush puppies were also delicious. The were light but crispy on the outside. We had the seafood rolls that came with fries or veggie so we had both and shared. The roasted broccoli was tasty and they were accommodating when I requested my fries without salt. The seafood rolls were loaded with fresh crab and lobster and the bread was very fresh. It was tasty and not loaded with mayo, as so many are, but it needs a little something to give it a little zip. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful in guiding us when we had questions regarding the menu. Overall, a good experience and we will come again!
Great place for oysters! Big selection and half price at happy hour!
Good selection of vines and beers, plus full bar for cocktails.
Recommend to make a reservations
This place is phenomenal! The quality of the food is outstanding. It puts Red Lobster's sea food to SHAME!!! I also love that you can order things that arent on the menu. I wanted to try a fried oyster, but they didnt have it on the menu. However, I was able to try it because they were happy to prepare it the way I wanted.
Amazing dinner! We went here for a Friday during lent and my friend tried oysters for the first time and they were super knowledgeable about what to have him try. 5 stars!
Food was excellent. Wonderful service!
The service was great and the seafood was fresh...it’s hard to believe it’s a lettuce entertain you restaurant. I cannot wait to go back!
Delish! And the service was great.
While the food at Oyster Bah is pretty good, it's pretty pricey, too. The noise level is fairly high and since I explained to the Host that I am partially deaf, he sat us at a quiet table by the window. When one of the very expensive Alaskan King Crab legs accidentally slid off my plate onto the floor, the wait staff graciously brought another at no extra charge. Of course, the main reason I go there is for the unbelievably delicious coconut cake and it was outstanding, as always. If you can take the noise, it's a great place.
Amazing, fresh seafood and you cant forget the coconut cake !
Really enjoyed Oyster Bah. This was our first time. We sat upstairs at a high top table. Food was excellent and perfect little date night.
My wife and I had a great experience at Oyster Bah. Our server was great and made tremendous recommendations. We both ended up ordering the lobster roll, which was as he mentioned outstanding. We also had the 6 & 6 oysters which were also great. That's the reason we came to enjoy oysters. But the meal was capped with the coconut cake, which was moist and out of this world.
Perfect place for dining out .. delicious but affordable ..
This place hits the mark every time, and the service is some of the very best in Chicago!
Food was fantastic! And pretty decent prices for quality seafood in the midwest.
Very much enjoyed our food and atmosphere. Came for brunch. The three of us ordered raw oyster selection, 2 seafood rolls and wedge salad with seafood. All great. Also coconut cake and hot fudge peppermint ice cream, yum.
The only concern was that Open Table next day inquired why we missed our reservation? We hadn't. So we had to justify that we were there. It seems the restaurant could have more easily figured this out by checking credit card receipts if the hostess had not registered the reservation.
First-timers and we had a nice time here. Sat night / 8 PM reservation. Place was quite lively. We choose high-top seating when we made our reservation, which turned out to be up front in the restaurant and a little tight for servers and patrons, but manageable. We are originally MA-based east coasters and were pleasantly surprised by the Oyster menu and quality. 3 East Coast selections that night which felt and tasted like we were back in Bahston! Drinks were good and service was very friendly. After a solid round of oysters we split the King Crab Legs / French Fries menu item which turned out to be just the right amount of food for the two of us. We will be back, will likely aim for booth / table seating next time just to be a little less crowded
Great food and friendly service. My girlfriend and I were visiting from Detroit for the weekend and wanted to partake in some really good seafood. Pricey but if you want really good seafood in Chicago look no further.
Great food! Our server was great! Cant wait to go back
Love this place, we highly recommend it.
Oyster Bah's happy hour is one of the best with half priced oysters, grilled shrimp and special mussels. This is addition to selected half priced wines.
The happy hour menu was a great was to try this restaurant. Loved it! From the music to service I would highly recommend this gem
Worst food and ripoff food is wayyyyyy to expensive to taste boiled crab legs with no seasoning
Very loud but great food
Went for the Sunday Seafood Brunch, however the other brunch items were intriguing and I will be back to try some other brunch menu items such as Shrimp and Grits.
In a town with lots of glitzy and glamorous (read: expensive) restaurants, it is nice to find a local place that serves very good food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. With oysters in it's name, the Bah may not be as authentic as on the east coast, but it tries really hard to recreate the feel of a New England seafood restaurant. Oysters are obviously fresh and delicious. I appreciated having choices from both the coasts and they didn't disappoint. Our server Jake, was professional and friendly and knew how to pace the meal. Highlights included the seafood wedge salad, and a tasty key lime pie. Lettuce Entertain you usually does things well, and the Oyster Bah is no exception!
Our waiter was fantastic!!! Food was delicious
The food is great including the Oysters, crab, fried chicken and the Mussels! My only suggestion is for them to improve their wine selection. Shaw's has a great selection, Oyster Bah does not.
As always great ousters and experience!
It was an awesome first time experience! The food was superb! At first I was skeptical about the price of the crab on the menu because you only get 2 Alaskan crab legs, but they were huge! Meaty! And extremely filling. I ordered the crab with chicken. It was very satisfying! Well worth the price. This is now one of my favorite places to eat! We have reservations to go back soon and I cant wait!!!
Everything was good. Only complaint, ordered Seafood Linguine, it was good but too much of a winey taste! Oysters were heaven!
Not good at all very disappointed
My friends and I each ordered something different and shared. We all enjoyed everything we tried. The seafood tower is amazing and the fries were also very tasty! Our server was friendly and knowledgable about the menu. It was a laid back environment with top-notch food and I will definitely be going back!
My last time at Oyster Bah was for brunch, which is a totally different atmosphere than dinner. The restaurant was hopping & the service was great. The waiter we had was attentive, yet not in your face constantly & there when you wanted him to be there.
The happy hour deal is amazing! Great menu offerings to try a little bit of everything, all at a great cost!
Can’t go wrong with Happy Hour here...everything is delicious, but was unimpressed with the hush puppies.
our server, jake (i believe), was great!
Valentines Day celebration
Normally we have a great experience at all LEYE restaurants, including this one.
However, Saturday night was an exception. The service was terrible and the food was cold.
