We really enjoyed the oysters. They were fresh and delicious. Not an enumerous amount of food offerings like some other brunch places but that is not necessary when you have a few solid choices! And Service was excellent to boot!
Our server was a bit strange, but the food was good
we had a great meal, and got some great suggestions on the oyster selections. Our server was wonderful!
The food was outstanding the atmosphere was great the cocktails were great. We were celebrating my birthday , our waiter was awesome.
The food is really good, nice fish , big diversity of oysters. Everything tastes yum
Great cold seafood brunch! Get a lot of bang for your buck between the oysters and shrimp and other seafood offerings. Hard to say if shrimp were a touch over cooked or if it’s because we’re in the Midwest and it’s the middle of winter but I’d give them a 6/10. Everything else was 10/10. It was quiet since I was there around 10:30am but the restaurant can get loud. Next time I’d like to try one and of the hot item add-on items because they all looked amazing!
The food is great but the service isn't. On both visits to Oyster Bah we had non-existent service and odd service. No server for 10-15 minutes until we asked, appetizers came out with entrees, and no server checked on us during the meal about drink refills, etc. I wish they'd get their act together since I love the food. The Hush puppies and fish and chips were great.
Great sea food!!! The king crab and mussels were amazing!!! Highly recommend it!!!
We were seated at high-top table by window; perfect laidback setting for early dinner but “sides” seem to be an after-thought, and not well executed.
The upstairs area seems like “b squad” that’s where they stick all the kids and the wait staff seemed a little inexperienced. I recommend sitting downstairs where the action is.
Love this place so much. Great for bringing the kiddos as well as having a solo night out with the girls. Delicious food and attentive staff!
Love the place. Great food and service always and it’s always delicious and fresh. Had the Brussels sprout salad and salmon tonight.
Great seafood buffet brunch! All of the food was nicely presented and was all very delicious. My waiter, Ryan, was very friendly and attentive. The hostess and other employees were very friendly. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. It was an excellent experience
Excellent oysters, drinks, and menu options. Perfect spot for a date.
Food and service were amazing. Our server, Jake was attentive but not overbearing. Food came out timely, hot and delishious. We will be back
Waited 45 mins for our table even with a reservation
Good food. Cramped seating by the door though. Great service.
Always love this place. Food is excellent. Cocktails are mixed perfectly. My only complaint is the price as this is never a cheap dinner.
Started off with a dozen oysters, followed by grilled shrimp and mussels. For entrees we had the fish & chips and spaghetti squash.
as always, delicious!! One of our favorite places to get oysters.
Perfect New Year's Eve night with friends and kids. The staff was so great and the food was excellent.
Service was phenomenal. Although it was busy, server Jake was very attentive. Oysters was great! We wished we ordered more. Food and drink presentation was excellent and tasted as good as it looked! Great job!
Stopped in for a late dinner on a Sunday night and really enjoyed their offerings. Started with a fresh oyster assortment, went on to a cup of the Clam Chowder (excellent and meaty) and then finished with the Shellfish Linguine while my wife had the Lobster Roll Connecticut Style. We enjoyed every bite. Our server was excellent and really knew the menu and the items on the menu well.
Great food in an authentic restaurant
Went for Sunday brunch instead of my normal dinner there. I did not choose to enjoy the buffet, rather the fried oyster meal, which was very good. There was an $18 bottomless mimosa deal, which would have been more enjoyed if our waiter wasn't the only one serving and could serve us in a timely manner. Other than that, the atmosphere was cozy as always and the food was enjoyable. They also make a mean mimosa!
Oysters were great but pricey. Had the mussels and fries, slaw and garlic shrimp which were so so. Cute décor and design and good service.
Excellent choice of oysters, great happy hour pricing as well. Enjoyed the tuna tacos, ribs were very good as was the hamburger. Highly recommend the calamari and raw oysters. Good variety of cocktails and beer. We will be back.
Great food and great happy hour. My kids loved their first oysters, and the service was amazing! And who knew? They have amazing fried chicken!
Such good food! Basically had to get rolled out of the restaurant I am so full! Can’t go wrong with this place. Nice and cozy that’s perfect for a get together or date night
Went here to celebrate the holidays with family. The service was outstanding and the food was great. I would definitely recommend the poke appetizer!
The food was very good. The ribs and tacos were excellent. The french fries very good. There is even a childrens menu and children eat free on Sunday. Some wine and drinks are half off before 6pm so people in our party liked that.
I ordered expensive Alaskan Crab legs and expected them to be tasty; however, the meat was too salty and botched my expectations of this restaurant. I would not come there again and would not recommend it to a friend.
It was good, our server was great though she was quite busy. I was given a birthday treat. We are repeat guests and will be back. We very much appreciate the happy hour being daily.
Great oyster selection including East and West Coasts. Located on Halsted. A LTEUE restaurant. Could expand main menu selections.
The only problem is the parking is lousy. Orher than that the overall was quite good
We had high expectations, given Oyster Bah's association with Shaw's. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful evening. The noise level was just right - energetic but we could actually talk to our friends across the table. The decor hit just the right note. The food was outstanding - a ton of oysters (the mignonette was unusual and very good), tuna tacos, BBQ salmon; we shared the coconut cake and key lime pie. I'm picky about my coconut cake and the Oyster Bah's is fabulous - trust me! Ditto the cole slaw, which I am equally picky about. The chef stopped by the table and chatted, which was a real treat. We loved being able to tell him how impressed we were. All five of us will be back!
On several other occasions, Oyster Bah has been excellent-great oysters & seafood. This visit was a huge disappointment-we loved the idea of a raw bar brunch option, but in reality nearly everything included was mediocre, at best, & certainly not worth $32.95pp. The East Coast oysters were gritty & not very fresh, plus no mignonette sauce was served. The poke was minuscule & they were frequently out of it. The shrimp was not very tender or flavorful. Ceviche & smoked trout were okay. And I have had much better deviled eggs from the grocery store-filling was runny & tasteless. Really surprised how far this once excellent restaurant has fallen, or maybe it’s just the raw bar brunch?
Paul was beyond excellent!
Great oyster happy hour spot! I like that the oysters on special rotate. This past time, we really enjoyed the east coast happy hour oysters. Prices are reasonable, and bonus for happy hour. I've been several times and will be back!
We’ll be back for the best oysters we’ve had in the city! The oysters, seafood roll and wedge salad were delicious. There’s a great happy hour that includes some half price oysters!!
