Between the quality of the seafood and the professionalism of the staff we just enjoy
having a meal here.
Service was great and food was delicious. Loved the seafood roll!
Great place to eat oyster. I order the prime burger and it hit the spot. Great food overall
First time here and the place was great! Wasn't super crowded (Saturday Brunch time). Service initially took a little long, there definitely should've been another server for our area. But she was as attentive as could be and very helpful with Oyster suggestions. The food was AMAZING, need more garlic shrimp in my life! The drinks were pretty good too, the Banana Hammock was amazing.
Very happy with everything overall, and will definitely be coming back!
Oyster bah is a cute restaurant, great for a meal with a friend or a date. Food is pretty affordable and tasty. I would go back!
Thought service was great. Place nice. Good just ok, not a lot of healthy options. Not my favorite LettuceEats and I love most!
Server was extremely slow. Walked by our table without asking if we wanted more cocktails. Sarah was nice but paced our experience far to long. She really did not do a good job for someone that’s been there for 4 years. We won’t let her serve us again; we’ll ask for another server or go somewhere else to dine. When it came time to pay, I swear, it seemed like a life time to get out of there, we were held captive and that’s what compelled me to get up and pay out. If this is the way the service is we may not be able to come back. Sorry LEYE.
Great seafood. Loved the Poke combo. Lot’s of fun.
The restaurant is relaxed and fun. We've been back twice in a couple months and the food is consistently delicious.
Oyster Bah was amazing! The food was plentiful and in a mid tier price range. My wife and I came here to celebrate our 1 year and were pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be going back for future celebrations or for a nice meal. 5/5
Staff was fantastic and so friendly.
Food was great. My partner and I sampled all of the half shell oysters, which were great. Key lime pie is soooooooo good.
Giving 3 stars because I find the food to be too inconstant. One time i go i love it, the next time is just ok. This past visit 2 of the 4 oysters on the seafood tower tasted like licking a dead fish and the grill octopus was tough and chewy. That said they crab legs and Seafood Louie Wedge were delicious and the service above average.
Normally I’d rate this place higher - but 45 minutes into placing our order they informed us they were out of the APP we ordered (45 min to get an app...) and gave us something else- but no apologies from management for the extremely long wait time or nothing comped due to the inconvenience.
Otherwise, the food was good.
We ordered 3 of the 6 varieties oysters and were disappointed with all 3. We ended up going elsewhere to satisfy our oyster craving. However, our server, Francisco, provided exceptional service!
Disappointed that you ran out of the special. We were there kind of early on a Saturday night. Would like to see more non shellfish options
They gave us one of the worst tables in the restaurants. I had an AC draft blowing on me the entire time. The table was also smooshed into the corner and basically sitting on my neighbors lap. The only thing good about the table was we had a view of outside.
It’s a small and narrow restaurant which I should have expected from a city restaurant.
The oysters were good and so was the octopus. Next time we would check out the crab cellar downstairs but I don’t think I’d return to Oyster Bah.
Second time here and had a great experience! A group of friends went back in February for a special where however much you spent, you received the same amount in a gift card for the following visit. I don't eat much seafood but the burger was so good, and the rest of the group loved the oysters and said the mussels were the best. Server was top notch.
The food was amazing! We will definitely come back when we visit Chicago again!!
Good food and great service. Very accommodating for a large party.
We love this place. Great food, amazing happy hour deal-especially for kids, wonderful staff, chill vibe and fun music. It’s def one of our go to spots bc we know we will always be happy.
Oystah Bah is consistently good. This trip we had the seafood salad and the Teriyaki bowl and both were delicious. The Teriyaki bowl was recently changed and I was very happy with the modification. The staff is always great and super attentive. A Sunday night and it was good busy to not feel alone in the restaurant but not have to wait to get in.
Crab legs are the way to go along with their great oyster selection.
Went back for the second time and enjoyed my dinner with local friends!!
My husband and I visited Oyster Bah on a recommendation, along with a number of restaurants in the area, from a co-worker. We decided we would visit Oyster Bah first and visit the other recommended restaurants the next time. We have been going to Oyster Bah each time we are in the area, not even thinking to try the other restaurants.
The menu is versatile and the food is great. We have asked ourselves why go somewhere else when this place is so awesome. No need to fix it if it is not broken.
Exactly what we expected. Great food good service
Solid oysters and starters, booze and wine. Servers know their stuff. Entrees are a bit of an afterthought but still tasty. This is definitely one of our go-to oyster joints in Chicago!
Ended up grabbing 2 seats at Bar . Had so much Fun there, never sat at our table. Canceled it
My husband and I are from the East Coast and are huge seafood fans. We moved to Lincoln Park around the same time that Oyster Bah opened and loved coming here for brunch. We have seen this restaurant on a decline ever since. The food is not consistent, the prices have gone up and they pack as many people into the small front area to make the restaurant looks full while there are empty tables in the back. I have even been told not to bother to come in without a reservation because they will make us wait regardless. Very disappointing.
Fresh food, reasonable prices. Best lobster roll I ever had. Poke poke was fabulous. My waiter knew his menu and suggested what kind of oysters we should try and it was delicious. The condiments that came with the raw oysters were a great combo.
Our service was fantastic. The food is always delicious at Oyster Bah!
Bang Bang shrimp was yummy; light and fresh. The jalapeno and corn hush puppies were also delicious. The were light but crispy on the outside. We had the seafood rolls that came with fries or veggie so we had both and shared. The roasted broccoli was tasty and they were accommodating when I requested my fries without salt. The seafood rolls were loaded with fresh crab and lobster and the bread was very fresh. It was tasty and not loaded with mayo, as so many are, but it needs a little something to give it a little zip. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful in guiding us when we had questions regarding the menu. Overall, a good experience and we will come again!
Great place for oysters! Big selection and half price at happy hour!
Good selection of vines and beers, plus full bar for cocktails.
Recommend to make a reservations
This place is phenomenal! The quality of the food is outstanding. It puts Red Lobster's sea food to SHAME!!! I also love that you can order things that arent on the menu. I wanted to try a fried oyster, but they didnt have it on the menu. However, I was able to try it because they were happy to prepare it the way I wanted.
Amazing dinner! We went here for a Friday during lent and my friend tried oysters for the first time and they were super knowledgeable about what to have him try. 5 stars!
Food was excellent. Wonderful service!
The service was great and the seafood was fresh...it’s hard to believe it’s a lettuce entertain you restaurant. I cannot wait to go back!
Delish! And the service was great.
Amazing, fresh seafood and you cant forget the coconut cake !
While the food at Oyster Bah is pretty good, it's pretty pricey, too. The noise level is fairly high and since I explained to the Host that I am partially deaf, he sat us at a quiet table by the window. When one of the very expensive Alaskan King Crab legs accidentally slid off my plate onto the floor, the wait staff graciously brought another at no extra charge. Of course, the main reason I go there is for the unbelievably delicious coconut cake and it was outstanding, as always. If you can take the noise, it's a great place.
