We had high expectations, given Oyster Bah's association with Shaw's. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful evening. The noise level was just right - energetic but we could actually talk to our friends across the table. The decor hit just the right note. The food was outstanding - a ton of oysters (the mignonette was unusual and very good), tuna tacos, BBQ salmon; we shared the coconut cake and key lime pie. I'm picky about my coconut cake and the Oyster Bah's is fabulous - trust me! Ditto the cole slaw, which I am equally picky about. The chef stopped by the table and chatted, which was a real treat. We loved being able to tell him how impressed we were. All five of us will be back!

On several other occasions, Oyster Bah has been excellent-great oysters & seafood. This visit was a huge disappointment-we loved the idea of a raw bar brunch option, but in reality nearly everything included was mediocre, at best, & certainly not worth $32.95pp. The East Coast oysters were gritty & not very fresh, plus no mignonette sauce was served. The poke was minuscule & they were frequently out of it. The shrimp was not very tender or flavorful. Ceviche & smoked trout were okay. And I have had much better deviled eggs from the grocery store-filling was runny & tasteless. Really surprised how far this once excellent restaurant has fallen, or maybe it’s just the raw bar brunch?

Great oyster happy hour spot! I like that the oysters on special rotate. This past time, we really enjoyed the east coast happy hour oysters. Prices are reasonable, and bonus for happy hour. I've been several times and will be back!

We’ll be back for the best oysters we’ve had in the city! The oysters, seafood roll and wedge salad were delicious. There’s a great happy hour that includes some half price oysters!!

Loved it. Food and drinks we’re amazing! Service was attentive. Ambiance is very casual, feels like the East Coas. Tables are VERY close to each other and the wait staff had a difficult time moving around the patrons.

Service was fantastic! Thanks Janette!

Food was pretty good overall. Fried tacos amazing. Same with trout special. Burrata appetizer was yummy.

The one disappointment was the garlic shrimp appetizer. Served like escargot, the shrimp are small, and with the tail on, very hard to peel the tail skins off without losing all the flavor. Serve tail-less and slightly larger, and this dish is on point. Date wanted more pure fish filet options.

Again, very limited dessert options had us going elsewhere for some sugah.

The service was terrible! Our waiter was not attentive and he picked up our credit card/bill without asking if we needed anything else. Very disappointed.

I like to go to the bar upstairs. The bartender is the best. My wife and I try to visit him when we can. We usually get reservations, but ask if the bar is open upstairs to sit. The food is amazing. We love the oysters, mussels, seafood roll, hamburger, fries and shrimp app. Such a great place.

Food was so bad. We tried the shellfish linguine (mussels were awfully overwhelming). Garlic shrimp (could only taste the garlic, barely tasted any salt or any other flavor). Fried calamari (style of frying was very weird, I’ve never seen it be done like that previously). The sesame tuna tacos were ok. The clam chowder were probably the best thing. Had very high expectations. Fell so low.

Really impressed with the level of service provided to us by Oyster Bah.
We quickly grew from a party of 7 to 17 and the staff were able to accommodate this with our own private room, a set menu personalized to highlight the name of our group and extremely attentive service.

Excellent value for money.
Many thanks.

We were given the option upon arrival that we could wait for a table to open up or sit at a high top table right away which was nice. Our server was very knowledgeable about the oysters and gave us genuine recommendations that tasted great. Drinks were good, bang bang shrimp is always a must and that was good too. This is a great casual spot that is not quiet by any means, the tables are very close together and can get pretty loud around dinner time- nonetheless I enjoy coming here for something different in Lincoln park.

Happy hour drinks were gross and the service was terrible. We had to remind them to bring our oysters and they completely forgot the garlic shrimp. The fish tacos were soggy and fell apart in my hands. Way too expensive for the quality of food and service. Not coming back
