great bread which keeps me returning. food excellent as well. main dining room lacks ambiance.
My anniversary and birthday
This was a great meal. Menu changes all the time and our meal was very fresh and showcased the local ingredients very well.
Service was a bit slow. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours for dinner for four. However, we had a great meal and a great time!
As usual, the food and service was spot on. Everything was done amazingly efficiently and the new hostess was bright and cheerful and a breathe of fresh air. Our server was wonderful and the food was outstanding. We will be back... again!
Just excellent. Great atmosphere, service and food
Lovely restaurant and service however, pricey and parking is next to impossible.
We were here for Easter Dinner which explained the noise level as there were many families with children. The menu was not extensive but the food was excellent. The service was friendly, prompt and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We would definitely return when we are in Mystic.
Though it took a little while to get service initially, the bartender who took care of us on Easter was great, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious, and the restaurant is just beautiful. Had a great time and hope to be back for future holiday brunches!
Super cheerful, great ambiance
Wine list price aggressively
There with group of eight. Pasta dish& skate great. Duck was disappointing
Simply, the best. Inventive, fresh and locally sourced, delicious food, wonderful, warm service. We love this place!!
Great raw oyster bar and awesome menu/food!! My son who has a keen appreciation for fine food was visiting and The Oyster Club was the only choice for him!
At first glance the menu is especially perfect for foodies. However the food is so perfectly made it is as if you are eating the most flavorful comfort food you could possible ask for. They just take everything up a notch. We were there for brunch and had their manmosa, mimosa, and a classic bloody mary, all were perfect. Then we had tried the eggs benedict, and french toast, both made to perfection.
Food was amazing ! Sat at bar for Happy Hour first and John the shucker was very entertaining , friendly and a great shucker.... moved to dining room for dinner .... Where we ate the most delicious meal!!!!!
Loved our evening from beginning to end
I am looking forward to our next visit which
Will be sooner than later.
Really enjoyed the food. Fresh is an understatement. The soup was amazing and the steak I had was the best in months. I dine often and well.
One of, if not the, best restaurant I have been to. From the beautiful rustic decor to the simple yet elegant dishes, this restaurant exemplifies New England in every one of it's dishes. Each plate uses only the freshest and highest quality ingredients and they are perfectly cooked. Every dish reminded me of growing up in coastal New England having clam-bakes and filleting and cooking freshly caught fish. While it is fine dining, the food and atmosphere is anything but pretentious or "chefy" and it's about as humble as you can possibly get. If you want the best of what Coastal Southern New England has to offer, this is THE place to go.
Excellent food. We really enjoyed the oysters, corned beef and steak
DIVINE! The owner and staff go out of their way to be sure that diners have the best experience, the most exquisitely prepared food, and unmatched service. I am a foodie, a wine snob and travel the world, thus only a few restaurants receive my highest recommendations. This one is just one of the few.
Sorry this visit was not as good as it was been in the past. Our server was not very friendly to start and the food was nothing special this time. May come back in the summer.
Great food and friendly service. Great location, especially during warmer weather.
What can I ever say? Best restaurant in the state, Laura is amazing
One of my favorite restaurants! Food was absolutely delicious. Farm to table style really shows through in the fresh ingredients. Don't hesitate to pick this restaurant!!
Been here a number of times and the food, staff and drinks have been consistently fantastic!
One of the best meals I've ever had out!!! The food is very fresh and healthy!! The service is top notch!! The atmosphere is casual and very relaxed !! I would definitely come here for special occasions or just to eat out on nights I don't feel like cooking!!
From the grapefruit martini to the soup to the salad to the tile fish.....every bite was delicious.
We enjoyed delicious food with friends. There were new items on the menu since our last visit which we tried and loved, but I was happy that the mussels were still available. Outstanding!
First time to this restaurant, which we visited before a show in New London. Looks are deceiving. Outside looks like a nice sandwich shop. Interior looks like a local comfort food place. But the food was quite good. We each had one of their craft cocktails, which was both tasty and not overly large, like some places. The farm-to-table menu was eclectic and authentic. We don't live nearby, but it was worth the drive even if we had not been going to the show.
Our staff was worth noting. Quite knowledegable about the local farmers efforts to recreate breeds from years gone by and base the menus on those foods versus more commonly commercially sourced food.
We were greeted warmly - enjoyed a nice bottle of wine from the wine list- our dinners were creative, nicely plated and delicious. Definitely a very nice experience.
Great as always
We've visited the Oyster Club several times and find the cuisine creative, eclectic, and well-executed. The service is professional and friendly. Our waitress for this visit was particularly helpful to us in choosing a bottle of wine. And, as always, our meals were expertly prepared. This restaurant should definitely be on the list of those who appreciate creative, high-quality cooking.
One caution. The Oyster Club is a very popular spot in Mystic, CT and can get very busy on weekends and during tourist season. We strongly recommend making a reservation, and on busy nights you might still find you have to wait for your table.
This is a truly astonishing restaurant. We were here for the oyster/pig dinner...the creativity, flavor and presentation (not to mention the wine pairings) were inspired. As were we. I almost hate writing such a good review as it will only make it harder to get reservations in the future!!! 👍👍👍
Excellent as always. We had brunch which was awesome. Even the vegan dish was superb and my vegan friend is very hard to please.
Thoroughly enjoyed my 50th birthday celebration! Brunch selection was delightful and specialty drinks were creative!
Had an amazing anniversary dinner at Oyster Club! The service was impeccable - our waiter patiently answered my questions about the menu and gave great recommendations for wine pairings. The menu is small, but everything on there is fantastic. The mussels in the coconut broth are so delicious and you get a huge portion of mussels for the price. All of the food is fresh and perfectly prepared. The wine and cocktail list is really great and complements the food well. The dining room is a bit dark but cozy, not too crowded. Overall I really loved it and would definitely return for lunch or another special occasion!
Excellent lunch and the raw bar was the freshest we have ever had!!! We will be back for sure
Dan Meiser and his team provide an amazing fare. Farm to table ensures wonderful quality. The recipe's are creative. Awesome oysters. Great wine selection, by the glass and by the bottle. My favorite restaurant in the area.
Service could have been better, but the food was good and the setting was nice and “New Englandy”. Our waiter took $12 off for a very late arrival of clams, without us asking for it. I’d recommend the very tasty clam chowder which seemed like it was made super fresh upon ordering.
Great as usual
