Not a bad bite the entire evening. Very expensive but worth every penny if you know what you are getting into. The non-alcoholic cocktails were a hit with our group and the CBD cocktail was amazing.
The only way to get fresher food is to grow it yourself! Oyster Club is consistently excellent and has been for years. We started our evening with cocktails up in the Treehouse, where Emma S. was ever professional, welcoming, and helpful. I requested Drew as our server for dinner in the Oyster Club. Drew always provides the best recommendations for food and drink, based on her extensive knowledge of her customers preferences. I'm a regular who brought four first-timers with me and all four were so pleased with the dining experience that they can't wait to return!
Charming atmosphere. Ordered two apps and an entree to share between the two of us...apps came out in 5 minutes and then the entree took at least 45 minutes. Then a wait for the check.
Sigh. I’d give it another go, though and hope for
Had been here a few years ago and had really nice experience. Different this time. We have spent a few Mother’s days here, and decided to come back again this year. What was a warm atmosphere in the past felt cold and rushed. Place seemed over booked. There is a small area in front where coats hang and people can wait. They were actually serving people in this area?? This is also the expo area, so this small space is where all the servers are moving, people are waiting for bathroom, and taking off/putting on coats. I have never felt more in the way! I was simply trying to hang my coat and there is someone eating soup in this waiting area, and when I move out of their way, there is a server that I’m now In the way of?!
Waitress was good, but people kept attempting to bus plates that were were still eating from, we felt like they were trying to turn the table over ASAP.
Cost was ridiculous. 2 adults and 2 kids (they had a grilled cheese and a small pasta) cost me 225 dollars before tip. That was with 12 oysters, 2 entrees , one app and 2 glasses of wine.. this is mystic not Manhattan.
Local halibut & homemade pasta with lobster both with excellent prep and presentation especially on a very busy Mother’s Day. As always the freshest local oysters.
Service is friendly but slow. The New England style chowder was superb - fabulously delicious broth with fresh parsley. But the rest of the meal was okay. We were very disappointed that they did not serve a lobster roll for lunch. Tea at end of meal was served with tea bag and room temperature water so not drinkable. They did not have outside seating ready yet, which was unfortunate as the day was balmy perfect.
We had an early Mother’s Day lunch with my mom - lovely table, great waitstaff, amazing food (try the mussels with coconut milk & lemongrass, and the pancake with apples). Best of all, we felt relaxed - not rushed at all and we really appreciated that.
Andrew our waiter was phenomenal!!
Food was as well!
Delicious food. Relaxed and comfortable environment. Excellent service.
A dinner here is always amazing - innovative cooking and awesome service!
Wait staff went beyond to ensure we understood each menu item and to make suggestions only after they asked what we were looking for. We were looked after but not too much.
Good came on time and drinks were refreshed as needed.
It was a joy to dine with them. We will be back.
the wait staff was great. we divided our meal and the kitchen thoughtfully split all our dishes at no extra charge. cheerful and pleasant. we will definitely be back.
Lovely place and good food. Slow service, but charming wait staff nonetheless.
Loved our server’s knowledge of the menu and wine list. Never dissatisfied!
Service was great and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend it. Amazing steak made to perfection
This was my girlfriend and I's first time going to Oyster Club. I was impressed with the overall experience we had. We both sat at the bar and had the absolute best service. Both bartenders who were working that night did an outstanding job. I can't say enough about the experience we had.
The vegetarian option (there was only one) consisted of raw greens with miso; it was not impressive and certainly not worth the price. The halibut dish was very good but awfully expensive. The wine, ice cream, and bread were all excellent.
Overall I very much enjoyed my experience here. Had a reservation for 7:30pm, showed up at 7:15pm. Unfortunately they were very busy so we didnt get seated until 8:15pm. I personally thought it was dark with the lighting, that may be the mood they're trying to set. The food was absolutely amazing, every bite melted in my mouth. Couldnt ask for anything better. The bread was a little overcooked and hard but still tasted good. The tables are very close together so feels a little cramped and lots of cross chatter because of it. For a Friday night they did a nice job moving things along. I cant say enough about how well the food was cooked and how good it was. Those cooks are amazing, their daily menu is a nice touch for sustainable food sourcing. I would recomend this place to anyone, just plan to wait and know the wait is worth it, and even though its cramped a bit. It was still a pleasant evening.
The Rhode Island chowder was spectacular. Every flavor was detectable, especially the parsley which provided great freshness. My husband had the flounder salad, and it was very good. The fish was fresh and flaky. My pastrami sandwich was good, but I would have preferred the meat to have been more thinly sliced. Overall, we had a great lunch and we will be back.
Loved your restaurant, loved the food, our waitress, the ambience . We can’t wait to come in warmer weather and eat in the Treetops!
Thanks so much for the wonderful experience.
Brunch and Dinner are DELICIOUS. You cannot beat the buck-a-shuck deal for brunch.
The quahog chowder was tasty but had virtually no clams; the pork tenderloin (no exaggeration) had a 3/8 inch layer of fat, the meat section was smaller, and unfortunately I found a hair in coffee cup, not an enjoyable experience?
Best restaurant in town. Excellent food, cocktails, service and ambiance.
We were happy that we celebrated our 30 year anniversary there because the food and service was excellent!
Fantastic food and service
Delicious Bloody Mary! Food was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Definitely plan on returning.
It was our first time dining. Everything was impeccable. We will be back
Oyster Club is an excellent restaurant. The food was the highest quality and the service was extraordinary. I would recommend this restaurant to many people.
Cozy and romantic. We really enjoyed our meal at the Oyster Club. The mussels were plumb and delicious and we loved the fresh bread!
Great food and wine, unbelievable oysters and other sea food. Fabulous
Solid food, super fresh, outstanding service
Heather was a very good server. We went for Brunch, but they had stopped serving because of Easter Sunday. The 4 Ram Island Oysters were large, fresh and really good. Both the special Ham dinner and the Scallops were superb. Bloody Marys are spicy and good.
We went Easter Sunday. Dish I ordered had maple mustard ham, grits and an egg. Unfortunately, ham was full of tendon and inedible, grits were soupy and egg over cooked. Server never checked on our meal. Left 90% of meal on plate. It was picked it up and not mentioned. We found Oyster Club overpriced and lacking. Sad day.
One of the best restaurants in foodie Mystic! Farm- and sea-to-table dining where the menu changes daily. We've eaten at this restaurant fairly frequently and always enjoy our meals. The employees are friendly and professional - special thanks to Maggie and to Jade!
it would be great if your website had parking suggestions or instructions for first time diners.
Weekend in Mysric with our kids. Nicely accommodated our two young teens to make it a fine dinner. Excellent oysters!
The Oyster Club is one of our top restaurants in the Mystic, CT area. This is not a place to go for big plates of comfort food. Instead, the kitchen produces plates that can be quite exotic and very creative. If you are looking to experience new combinations of unusual ingredients, this is definitely the place to visit.
The menu varies often, which makes each visit an adventure. During this visit, my wife started with a chick pea soup followed by the vegetarian offering, which included unusual combination of spaghetti squash, potatoes, various seeds/grains, and greens. I started with the turnip salad that included the turnip greeens and an unusual dressing. My main course was a house made tagliatelle with a ragu of beef, pork, and vegetables. Outstanding!
This is a small place and is usually very busy. The weekends during the summer season can be crazy, so we tend to visit more often in the off season or weekdays in season. The dining room is fairly quiet, but the bar area can get pretty boisterous.
The food was very good, nice setting , good location
Waitress was not pleasant and main course took an hour and ten minutes. Knew it would be expensive but was hoping for the price our food would at least be hot. Room temperature steak. Very overrated.
I do not do reviews. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
