Need to let customers know that there is goat cheese in the cole slaw. ;0/ Allergic.
This place is really great to go with your bffs, and eat some fairly healthy and diverse food! They update their menu on a regular basis and thay have a lot of tea to chose from. The atmosphere is really what sells it though! It’s great to take pictures and do a little shopping pre-brunch.
I was very disappointed with the service at Oxford Exchange. We went on Sunday, August 12 to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had to leave feeling hungry and unappreciated.
We had a reservation for afternoon tea and we planned on getting the champagne tea. When we mentioned we were vegetarians, the waiter went to check if they could adjust the type of sandwiches we would get but said it was not possible because they have a set number of sandwiches and they cannot make changes. I then said, ok, let’s get the tea but let me order a couple of items from the regular menu. My husband ran 14 miles that morning and I had run 9 so we were very hungry, they said that if you get tea service you can’t order off the menu. Then I said ok, let get just tea and scones and then we can go somewhere else to eat something else. I mentioned I was allergic to nuts and they got our order in. When scones came back, they were all almond scones, that of course I couldn’t eat. At that point we just asked for a to go box and left. It is very disappointing to be at a restaurant, be willing to pay for food and service and have them say you can order certain items, get certain things or even listen to a customer that has an allergy. I didn’t request to talk to a manager that day because at that point I already had a headache, I was so hungry and disappointed that I just wanted to go to another restaurant where we could celebrate his birthday and eat. I understand that sometimes restaurants upcharge for substitutions or changes and I am fine with that but Oxford Exchange didn’t even want to consider that option. The plus side is that there are many wonderful restaurants in Tampa that understand customers’ needs and are willing to operate a restaurant in a way that makes customers feel welcome. I can’t help but wonder if this is Oxford Exchange’s way to tell us that they do not want customers like us. The message was received loud and clear and we will never return to Oxford Exchange.
Two friends and I went for brunch Sunday after attending Grace Family Church off Gandy and loved it!! Two of us got the Kale Scramble and one got the Chicken Burger with fries. We had to make a reservation several days in advance, but it was worth it! The service was a little slow because it was crazy busy so it was also a little bit loud, but Oxford is one of my all time favorite spots in Tampa, coming from a native. Everything could be about $1 cheaper for what you're getting though, however, I will always come back!
The service was great, and the food usually is too, but this time i was disappointed. Don't order the french toast!
We we're amazed at the beauty of this place..We enjoyed Sunday breakfast..The atrium let in great natural light..The food was delicious and our server was genuinely so pleasant..Will be back!
Always a great location for a Sunday brunch get together!
High quality food with great service and always a special treat going there.
Gorgeous environment. However, food fell flat to its prices. It was decent food but $17 for eggs Benedict I expect to be wowed by some creative combination. Food didn’t match the luxury of the aminiance and I was disappointed.
Awesome location on a historic old building tastefully designed with exceptional service and great food!
I love the ambiance of this venue. I actually wonder if they would host weddings there it is so charming.
The food was good but it was difficult to enjoy it because it was extremely loud in there. We could hardly talk because we could not hear each other. If I went back I would not sit inside but out in the courtyard area. They really need to put some sound absorbing material in the room to reduce the noise level - it was deafening.
Food was delicious, service was wonderful, and food came out quickly. Coffee was very hot, but good. Very noisy and some of the seating is a little close to other patrons. Overall experience with the shop and bookstore was lovely. Beautiful decor.
Always a treat! Service was very nice and very fast. Enjoyed the fountain and we breakfasted an easy morning away.

Parking is a HUGH problem. This becomes very difficult for Mom’s with babies or the elderly. Noise level is so high at lunch that normal conversations may become shouting matches. That being said it is a vibrant and fun experience and will be enjoyed but most.
I love Oxford Exchange. It’s such a beautiful venue and the good is delicious. Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Make reservations though because it is a very popular dining spot.
Loved the food! We had a great server waiting on us.
OXFORD EXCHANGE HAS BECOME ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES FOR BRUNCH. FOOD IS AMAZING AND AMBIANCE IS PERFECT. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL DIFFERENT WAITERS ANS THEY HAVE BEEN SUPER PROFESSIONAL AND ALWAYS ON TOP OF EVERYHTHING. TOTALLY RECOMMEND.
We requested the atrium seating but had to sit inside because the area was held for people there for tea. While we sat inside we couldn’t help but notice all the seats available in the atrium. My daughter was pretty disappointed. The food was excellent though but thought an accommodation could have been made.
Bellini was delicious. Food came over very quickly. Omelette was yummy! Only negative, it took forever to get our check.
This place was awesome! Will definitely return.
Fun place for a lunch date. Great food. Sweet potato fries are much better than regular fries. Fish tacos are very tasty, but a bit on the spicy side. Lobster sliders are divine. The cappuccino is delish. Just go! You won't regret it.
The salads are tasty too.
Great service, and great food. Try the salmon bagel! Beautiful spot for pictures. Really enjoyed the sun room in the day time. They were pretty busy on Sunday afternoon but it didn’t feel too crowded.
I had an overall positive experience! I sat in the courtyard for brunch. Great atmosphere, my server was awesome & the French toast was delicious!
My mom and infant daughter and I came here for brunch during a girls weekend in Tampa. We could not have been more pleased with our entire experience. The atmosphere is just so beautiful and special - the service was amazing, the food was incredible and the shop was so great. Everything about our visit was 5 star - could not recommend more!
Service a bit slow and not as attentive as would have expected. Also everyone is required to get tea and I would have preferred to have a salad while others enjoyed tea.
WE LOVED THE SCONES SO MUCH. And the savoury tier was our absolute favourite. However the one finger lady sandwich with the intense amount of peanut butter was unenjoyable in the mouth since its so sticky.
Delicious lunch: smoked salmon salad and chicken salad with sweet potatoes fries.
The macchiato was a perfect Italian coffee, but, unfortunately, it was luke warm, which had happened a few times before.
Steak sandwich was awesome along with the Oxford slaw
As usual, had a wonderful time at Oxford Exchange. From the food and service, shopping and relaxation at café, it is always a great experience. We love taking friends here and will return in the near future.
This was my second trip to OE for afternoon tea and the first for the rest of our party. The service was great and our waiter was friendly and very attentive, and the food was wonderful. My only complaint is that halfway through our afternoon tea, the restaurant and its staff began setting up for a wedding that was taking place that evening. This is something that happened the last time I was there and I felt like I was in the way as tables and chairs around me and the three or four other parties left still having tea were being cleared away to prepare for the event. Even though we were assured we were not in the way, I felt like we were and needed to hurry up and pay so that they could get set up. It was explained to me that there was a small window of time between the restaurant hours and the events which occur in the evening, and I completely understand that. I just don’t like the feeling of being in the way, especially as we were all trying to do something nice with each other to lift our spirits, as we had just lost our mother the day before. Again, the service was great and the food wonderful, I just wonder if perhaps maybe there should be shorter hours on the days there is to be an event. I would rather had come earlier or even been disappointed at not getting a reservation, than to sit through tea feeling like we were in the way. The space around the restaurant had a lot of activity as well, but that was different, as it was the atrium space and less formal and open than the restaurant. In the restaurant it felt awkward and uncomfortable, and had I known that was a regular weekend occurrence, I would have tried to make an earlier reservation.
Love the Oxford Exchange! Had a chicken burger that was full of flavor. The sweet potato fries were crisp and delicious. We brought a friend from California and he loved it too. The history of the building and the uniqueness of the book store and gift shop make this a place we will frequent.
Great historical atmosphere. Wonderful food. Great unique shopping. Something for everyone. Love the building awesome floors windows, walls etc. Bathroom was very nice clean. Loved the pictures.
Great ambience but was pretty crowded and our waiter missed on the order
Overall the food was great
Great food! Good service. A little to loud. Had the turkey club-very good
The Yukon fingerlings were amazing, the Bloody Mary was great and I absolutely love the homemade preserves for the toast.
I recently went to OE for a friend brunch and had met with some friends that had never been there before. Our food and service were outstanding, when I usually visit OE I don’t typically experience a long wait time between being seated to ordering my meal. This particular visit was a bit different from other times and I did experience a pretty long wait time from ordering drinks and a meal. Although my friends and I spent a total of 2.5 hours at OE from the time we sat down to receiving our check, our waiter did have a positive attitude and was very sweet. Only complaint is the wait time was way too long, in comparison to previous experiences at OE. But as always, the experience at OE truly is a unique one and is always worth it.
THIS IS ALWAYS A PRIME EXPERIENCE BEING AT OE! CAN'T BEAT THE UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE, DINING AND SHOPPING! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
