Owen Brennan's Restaurant
Dining experience is so consistant. Food is always delicious. Executive express lunch items are great value but very well done. Owen Brennan's is always a good choice!
Great food and service!
Beignets were better than New Orleans! Shrimp and Grits were amazing. Highly recommend!
I had high hopes for this place. My experience was extremely disappointing. The food was all wrong and lacked in flavoring. The bread was rock hard and inedible. The crawfish etouffee was subpar. The calamari was soggy. The only thing I truly enjoyed here was my martini. I won't be returning.
Showed early for reservation and was not even sat within 15 minutes after 130 reservation.
The meal from the kitchen was a little slow but the food was fantastic and our server was great. We’ve been here several times and the slow deliver is NOT typical. Definitely recommend coming here.
Loves the experience. The service was just a little slow.
I took my wife for a birthday brunch during the week. We arrived at the 11 am opening. The meal was really good as usual, except the our Eggs Hussarde and Eggs Sardou were boiled hard and not really poached. The lack of liquid yolk mixing with the sauces defeats the intention of the Benedict variations. A basic flub like this out if sync at a restaurant of the quality of a Brennans.
Great service, nice people , great food
Sea bass was not fresh! They dumped a lot of salt on the potatoes to hide the taste!!!
45$ for that for very disappointing!
It was a very enjoyable lunch on a Saturday afternoon
Food was delicious! Service was great! Music was jazzy!! Nice evening!
Outstanding as usual. My go to place when I want to feel good inside. The sea bass is to die for.
We’ve been to Owen Brennan’s twice in the last month. The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing!! This is now one of my favorite restaurants!! Love being able to make reservations since I HATE to wait!!! We will be back very soon!!!
We were dining prior to an evening downtown at the Orpheum, we explained that to our server and he exceeded expectations with our food. The two ladies shared an entree and salad and the kitchen staff split it in the kitchen which is something I love! The food was delicious and everything came out perfectly timed! Could not have gone smoother.
Thought we were back in New Orleans. Barbecue Shrimp was outstanding. Our server was Chuck and he was a big help in ordering cocktails and was very knowledgeable when we had questions. Don't leave without trying the Bananas Foster. Wished we lived closer or had more reasons to go Memphis as this would be a MUST stop.
Took a long time for food to arrive. However, manager stopped by, apologized and offered free dessert. All good. Will definitely return. Food is very good!
Good value with average service. Too dark to read the menu but the food was outstanding. Brunch is always a good experience but dinner services are lacking.
While I enjoyed the evening and the food, I thought the waiter service was below what I expected. We didn't get bread with the meal and our order for second drinks was lost in the shuffle and I had to go to the bar and ask about it. I think the idea of having 3 or 4 different people wait on the same table might create some confusion. I also have some ideas on how to improve the ambiance.
Owen Brennans is now our go to place for great food and amazing service. The Saturday brunch menu is a little weak but I was definitely able to find something delicious to order.
The live music was a good twist! Enjoyed it thoroughly
The food here is excellent. Creative and fun. Stands out from all orhers in town.
Great food! If you enjoy eating in NOLA, but you are stuck in Memphis, this is the closest you can get! You will think you are in NOLA, until you leave.
Hostess was excellent! Very welcoming and helpful. Food was good! But service was extremely slow. It took over an hour to get our food served. It was just not what I was expecting for my first visit.
Food was incredible! Our server was horrible. Our food took over 45 min. Think he forgot to submit the order. No apology. Had to get food to go as had to leave.
Most enjoyable lunch on Valentines Day - bringing to mind many happy memories of dining in New Orleans.
We were greeted warmly by the hostess but could hardly hear what she was saying due to the loud keyboard at the entrance, they apparently only had seating in the middle of the room as tables on each wall were already occupied. They did turn down the volume of the speakers in our area after about 10 minutes but it wasnt the atmosphere we had hoped for.
Great for lunch! So many options!
Great service by our server. She was super attentive, friendly and professional. We had the gumbo and chicken salad sandwich/fries. The portions were generous and everything was delicious. The steak fries were cooked perfectly. It is a great place for lunch. Hostesses were very nice; we were greeted upon arrival and departure.
Wasn’t notified that it was pork in my dish. I do not eat pork & it wasn’t listed in the description on the menu either. I had the Royal salmon & spinach
Extremely slow service for a Saturday am brunch. Place wasn’t busy.
My server was great. My food took about an hour to come to the table. My server was gracious and kept apologizing. He even gave us a complimentary dessert. It was good when it finally arrived but this experience will keep me from visiting again anytime soon.
Food is always amazing! Redfish is our favorite!
The Ladies room could use some attention - missing purse hooks on doors, toilet seat cover dispensers out, moldy ceiling tile, walls need paint.
Food didn’t disappoint but the service did.
One of my favorite special occasion places, never been disappointed.
Was not told there would be a limited menu when I made reservations for New Year's Eve.
The staff really didn’t seem to want to be there. It was New Years Eve at 6:30. The restaurant was not extremely busy (and I received a call saying we had 2 hours only to eat-when we got there we found out the only served until 9??). The calamari was tough and there were more crumbs from fried breading than calamari. The turtle soup was delicious. Gumbo was light colored (true NOLA style should have a dark roux) but tasted ok. The catfish Boudreaux was good but the cream sauce was really thick and pudding ish and didn’t seem fresh. I ordered Brussels sprouts in place of rice....these were awful. They tasted like they had been in the fridge uncovered for days and were extremely dry. Over all we chose Owen Brennan’s for New Years because, being from LA we wanted a fun celebration atmosphere. There. Was. Absolutely. None. A few wait staff had on 2019 beads and that was it. I’ve always loved this place but am rethinking returning.
